The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.
Within the cavern, the dim light fades into darkness to the north and the south. The cavern stretches nearly 100 feet in each direction, but is otherwise unremarkable save for the inlet and outlet of the ancient river responsible for creating this chamber and most of the surrounding tunnels over the centuries. The river through this part of the cavern ranges from 10 to 15 feet wide but is only 1 foot deep, and it flows languidly at an almost imperceptibly slow speed.
The sound you heard appears to travel up from the tunnel to the east. You begin to hear the faint sounds of combat more distinctly, and a familiar woman’s voice half-shouting and half-reciting, “As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!”
Across the river, Encounter: 1d6 ⇒ 1 you spy a couple of Kobolds, possibly on patrol.
Perception checks, and Initiatives please!
There is no Surprise Round, unless perhaps your bard is being sneaky at the guidance of his chicken. If you beat the Initiative, please post your combat round 1 action.

Actually, Daru had a 24 initiative (14 Perception check).
Daru steps forward and chucks a bomb at the kobolds before hunkering down behind her shiny new shield. "Fire in the hole!"
bomb, range touch at southernmost enemy: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 2 = 22

Oops! My bad!
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Daru's bomb immediately reduces the first kobold to nothing but red mist and memory. Fortunately for his companion, the second kobold manages to step aside just in time, and though still injured, saves his own life.
With the death of Kobold 1, everyone except Daru, Kobold Slayer, is up.

![]() |

Samiya giggles when the explosion rips one of the Kobolds to shreds.
"Woohoo! Good throw on that one, Daru! Nice job!"
She takes a step out of the tunnel to get a clear view to the remaining beasties and lets fly with a bolt from her crossbow.
Crossbow shot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Blithely unconcerned about the kobolds, since the rest of the party appears to be taking care of them before he realizes it, Findlefarb steps forward and narrows his eyes.
If anyone still stands...
Findlefarb calls out, "Hey, you, Miss Poopscales! Ever think about a bath? Oh, probably not, you'll pollute the whole cavern... Wait, you might not speak like civilized people... Yip! Yip! Nosepick Buttscratch!"
Mock the kobold, DC 14
If everyone is down...
"Kobolds! Tricky little buggers... What are they doing here?"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Little draco wanna "b"ss
I rush forward passing Daru by about 5 feet before I hurl a pilum at the lone standing creature...
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
I feel my hobbed nailed feet slide on the floor as my weapon flys elegantly off on a trajectory that has not the slighted chance of hurting or killing the creature as my hand reaches down to pull free my spatha/longsword

![]() |

Samiya lands het bolt in the kobold's heart. As the sounds of battle within the cave dies with the little lizard's last breath, the sounds of battle outside again swell.

![]() |

Daru does her best to hide her laughter as she moves to lend Hammerdas a hand, though her social skills are severely lacking. "Those rocks look terribly slippery. Are you okay, Hammer?"

![]() |

Hammerdas manages to retrieve his anvil with only a couple slips, and one quick dunk in the river. Unfortunately, in doing so, he manages to set off a parting gift left by the Kobolds, a dart trap!
To HIt: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
A single dart lodges in the barbarian's neck, (Fort save please) causing 1d3 ⇒ 1 points of damage.

![]() |

Samiya giggles at the snide musings of the gnome, and watching Hammerdas scramble about the rocks.
Her amusement quickly turns to shock and surprise when the kobold trap is sprung.

![]() |

Hammerdas turns a little green as he loses a point of Constitution. once per round, cure = 1 save.

![]() |

Hammerdas' face has lost a little color, but he seems not to much worse for wear. The strength will return in time. My bad, the onset is on YOUR turn if you fail the save. The first doses you, the second damages you. You are no longer poisoned, and your 1 con returns.

![]() |

As Hammerdas recovers, Findlefarb pets his chicken reassuringly and tremulously mutters, "...I hate kobolds."
Finding his confidence again, he turns to everyone and adds, "Well, shall we head on and join the fray?"

![]() |

The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
You are close enough to hear Janira, and are all once again under the effects of her Inspire Courage, +1 to Attack Rolls, +1 to Damage Rolls, and +1 to Saves v. Fear
Nearly 100 feet from the cave’s entrance, Janira Gavix is locked in combat with her relentless foe. When she sees you emerging from the cave, you are able to clearly make out Janira as she shouts, “You vile beast! I know not what drives your black heart, but I shall not fail in my duty. I shall see you driven from this forest, back to the hills from whence you came!”

![]() |

"It's HAMMER time!" Sorry, but somebody had to say it...
initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

![]() |

You are 100 feet away from the bull, -10 penalty to his perception. He is in combat, -2 because he is distracted. He is in unfavorable conditions, Janira is making a lot of noise.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 - 2 - 2 - 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 2 - 2 - 10 = 0
He will not notice you for a while, feel free to buff yourselves, or move. Initiative is a good idea if you plan on charging. If you plan to spend a while getting prepared, Janira may die.

![]() |

Daru drinks her extract of Expeditious Retreat and moves 60'.

![]() |

Findlefarb runs at top speed up the ledge, as fast as his little legs can carry him. Gotta make sure he will be able to hear me, he thinks.
I'll run, not just a double move.

![]() |

Samiya spots the Minotaur in the distance, and turns to face Titus while placing a hand delicately on his shoulder.
"Why dont you go introduce yourself to that snarling beast." she says with a twinkle in her eye, as she casts Mage Armor on the warrior.

![]() |

When you move to within 50', the Mino will notice you are on your way. I will assume that Samiya, as she used a standard action, will be the last to move to within 50'.
"Now you have done it you silly bull! You wasted all your time dallying the day away with me, and now my companions are back!! You are done for!"
Turning to your group, Janira smiles, "Just in time, I don't think I could hold him off any longer, but I did my best! please now is the time to come to my aid!
Mino init: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1

![]() |

Right, you all take your actions to get to within combat range, then go ahead and post round 1. He will go dead last. Janira i just taking full defense, and 5' steps towards you all.

![]() |

Findlefarb presents his chicken from his perch on the ledge, and proclaims, "Oh, look, chicken! Now I can start my farm! Look how beefy he is! What, you think he wants to chuck something 'round at me? I'm up heeeere! Do you think he can get right in the bullseye? And look at Janira! Do you think he can heifer defeated before our crew has him cowed?"
Mock, Will DC 14 or the minotaur gets -2 attack, -2 skill checks until he damages me.

![]() |

Hammerdas will move 30ft in the surprise round and then move 30ft as a move action in round 1. Arriving at the bank he will rage and hurl his anvil 40ft towards the minotaur (This is still within range due to his raging hurler feat).
Anvil: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 2) + 5 = 13

![]() |

The Mighty Hammerdas' throws his anvil with all his might, and the huge block of steel makes quite the impression, literally, on the minotaurs physique. One of the beast's proud horns drops into the mud and muck. Enraged, the man-cow turns his attention to Hammerdas, and charges!
To Hit: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29
To Hit: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 = 11
Lucky for the Ulfen, a blow that should have possibly killed him in a single blow, glances off of one of his anvils, just in time to save his life, if not prevent all the damage, Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8.
I am sorry Findlefarb, I will try to get your token on the map by tomorrow, tonight, I will just declare you are within range of your attacks.
[OOC]The Minotaur is at -2 AC until his next action, as per Charge.

![]() |

Realizing that one of her charges may be in dire danger, Janira charges the bull that just charged Hammerdas! The mighty man-cow sees her coming, and unleashes a mighty swing of his great axe.
To Hit: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 2 = 11
Much to Janira's relief, the blow goes wide, and shatters a near by stump.
To Hit: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 24
Janira flicks her whip forward and hits the Man-Cow! Damage: 1d2 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 + 1 = 1 non-lethal
"We have him flanked! Step in, try not to move too much while you are in range." Janira's smile immediately turns into a frown as she realizes her simple whip does not actually threaten the Minotaur. "I knew I should have been to more combat training sessions!"
“And it was Selmius Foster’s race against a marid and efreeti on the isle of Jalmeray, which taught us that nothing is truly impossible and every situation can end in victory.” Janira continues, keeping everyone inspired by the greatness of pathfinder's past.
Everyone is up, once everyone acts, it will be the Minotaur again.
