This is for our DM, but anyone who isn't afraid of sudden, unavoidable unproductive days is welcome to join in.
****How to play ADOM Online****
Step 1: Download an SSH Client
I suggest PuTTY.
Download the first link 'putty.exe' and save it somewhere easy to find.
Step 2: Setting up the Connection and Settings
■Under 'Host Name (or IP address)' type 'Ancardia.Us.To'
■Under 'Port' type '22' if it isn't already
■Under 'Saved Sessions' type 'ADOM'
■Click 'Window' on the right and make the following changes:
-Change 'Columns' to 80 if it isn't already
-Change 'Rows' to 25 if it isn't already
-Under 'When window is resized' select 'Change the size of the font'
■Click 'Session' on the right, we should be back to the first screen
■Select 'Save' on the left and you should see 'ADOM' populate in the lower field
Step 3: How to Start the Server
In order to open the server you must either double click 'ADOM' in the saved sessions field or click 'ADOM', click 'Load', and then click 'Open'.
Step 4: Your new Ancardia Account
It is going to ask you to log in, if you already have an account, log in with it and enjoy! Otherwise, log in with:
Username: adom
Password: adom
and follow the on screen instructions.
Step 5: Playing the Game
Once you restart the client (it will ask you to restart the SSH client after you create your new account) actually starting a game of ADOM will be pretty self explanatory. If you have an trouble or questions, feel free to ask, I'd be happy to answer.
***DISCLAIMER***
This game is incredibly hard, and incredibly complicated. Don't get frustrated if you die over and over. That is completely expected. My biggest tips to help you get started are:
■shift+? opens help and allows access to keybindings. You will be using these, trust me.
■ADOM has a wiki. It is amazingly useful, but full of spoilers. Enter at your peril.
■Use the numpad. If you have the option to do so, move using the numpad. It facilitates easy diagonal movement. Using the arrow keys will make you move twice to travel diagonally one space. This can mean the difference between life and death.

So I can't edit that post anymore but I did run into an issue and figured out how to resolve it.
Sometimes the numpad will act wonky and not work. It will do unexpected things when you click the keys like opening up your quests. This is no bueno. To fix this, go to 'Features' under 'Terminal' on the right and check 'disable application keypad mode'
Make sure to resave the ADOM session so that it will remember that setting.
Driana
Man, im really starting to enjoy this character aspect of Driana getting all frisky with her teeth and grapples. I think ill have to grab a single level of Unarmed Fighter at level 5 and snatch up Improved Grapple. Hmm the Archetype gains a Style feat as well, gonna have to look into that :D
EDIT: Hmmm Snake Style looks very promising.
Driana
Zomg, Thalrik would never be able to handle a hothead like her...or more accurately, he would never be able to tolerate her, lol.
Rikka pretty much has a monopoly on the "Feisty Woman" position in Thalriks life.
Driana
Zern Parq
Lol, you guys crack me up. Driana's impressing someone with all of her wrestling around and flashing her teeth though. I'm trying to play Zern as mostly lawful, but I figure mutagen gives him the ability to be reckless and not worry about social convention like her normally does.
Driana
Lawful also doesnt have to mean "Law abiding" unless you are a Paladin. A Thrieves Guild could be mostly lawful, having an "honor amongst thieves" code and strick rules for their members. Same deal with pirates. The monks Lawful alignment is one based on the traditions and rigorous training they undergo.
Its all good.
Zern Parq
Nope! I fully expect for this to end badly and for Zern and Driana to end up thoroughly chastised, possibly with their own property confiscated, but in the frying pan together!
That or we'll escape with the loot, and in the process will have gifted the GM with a delightful hook of a vindictive re-occuring witch antagonist. *grins*

I dont get the second link...think link is broken or something, just sends me some Yahoo (lol) search page O.o

well, niah, you can certainly try to kill the quickling. but bear in mind two things...
1. he is pretty hurt right now, but he also has apparently run away, as far as you can tell. Even with that, he is a quickling, meaning if your spell misses, he takes absolutely no damage due to uncanny dodge and evasion.
2. he is, as far as you can tell, the leader here. and no one really knows what in the hell is going on. so you might want to leave at least one intelligent survivor.
