Rosham shakes his head and claps his hands. Almost instantly the Grand Lodge door bursts open and his herald comes in. The Taldan gestures toward Erin, Bishop, and Adamus. Pryor, these common folk need to be appropriately attired for an Absalom formal gala. Hurry along to the Grand Bazaar and get them some suitable accoutrements. Also, try to find something for the wolf. Spare no expense on this, and get back quickly. Go.
Pryor will be seeking the most elaborate and cutting-edge stuff he can find, and I'll pick up the cost on my chronicle. Will the peace bonding involve the spell from Ultimate Combat? Also, anyone with ideas for getting our equipment in with us?

Amira takes advantage of the distraction to slip out and make her way to the markets, considering potential vendors along the way.
From the Inner Sea World Guide:

I'll pick up the cologne. My leathers are brand new, and enchanted enough to look awesome, so I'll leave them. I will pick up 2 potions of Eagle's Splendor. I'll have Timber wait in the room sadly. The wolf doesn't have much to add here.

Machines meant Jewelry. Phone posting at 1 AM is the best idea, by the way.

![]() |

I'm also going to spend 1 PP to pick up a Taldan noble title; a PC needs 20 fame to do so (Rosham has 23). If I'm gonna treat everyone like common folk, I might as well, you know? :-)

Yandu meets up with the rest of the group. He seems looks quite changed.
His clothes are purple dyed furs with gems at several places (royal outfit). He wears a brand new belt with a shiny silver belt buckle (belt of dexterity), you notice a silver eagle pinned to his breast (member of the Eagle Knights - 1 PP) and he smells sweetly (perfume - already applied). A circlet with gems sits on his head (headband of Charisma).
All of the outfit seems to be in bright colours - fitting a gnome - and maybe only a gnome.
"Do I blend in well in my new look? This will be exiting !!"
Finally went on a big shopping spree as I somehow never got around it. Only other purchases was to buy back consumables, buying the wand of grease, 10 charges - and some first level scrolls.

Upon arrival at the boat, your weapons are peace-bonded before you are able to board.
Peace-Bonded weapons are tied with a cord into their sheath and take a Full Round Action to draw, as you have to undo the cord. You can, of course, keep a weapon hidden on your person or modify the knot to only look peace-bonded with Slight of Hand, but you do risk being discovered.

![]() |

I assume they will be Courtier's Outfits and accouterments?
Yep. Plus anything the merchants recommend that the herald would believe to help out. He has certainly seen this stuff before.

if light armor and the clothing are not mutually exclusive, I will wear it. And I thank you for it.

Light armor can be worn under clothes, by Core. It's medium and up that are unhide-able.

Sometime before we are surrounded by people who would spread gossip, Bishop will turn to each of his partymates, "Friends. It is no secret to me that we all have goals beyond the simple mission. It has always been my policy to assist in any way possible, with the exception of goals diametrically opposed to the ideals of my homeland. (Thankfully that hasn't happened much since my first few assignments.) I doubt my particular set of skills will be of much help this time, but I stand by my open offer. I would be greatly appreciative of the same."

I doubt my particular set of skills will be of much help this time, but I stand by my open offer. I would be greatly appreciative of the same."
"You underestimate yourself," Amira responds by fidgeting with her glasses and fixing her posture. She then adjusts her line of sight to Bishop. "When it comes to diplomatic relations, remember this; 'Those resting on high laurels must be built on something'. Find their weakness. Observe them, or ask around. Gossip is easy to find, exceptionally so with so much political air about. After you know how to attack, let them know you have their weakness and threaten to strike it. Seize the opportunity. They'll see their predicament, and only rarely will gold and fancy titles can cushion such a fall. Other may not want to deal with the hassle and will agree to whatever you, or more likely your nation, want."

Erin follows behind Amira, looking very uncomfortable in this state of dress, and adds.
"In the end, no matter who they are, everyone puts their pants on the same way Bishop."
She pauses, looking frustrated while tugging at part of her dress.
"Speaking of pants, I wish I still had mine."

The Kelishite speaks true — diplomacy is conflict without the sword, but it is fought in much the same fashion and the tactics are much the same. And even the rogue has a point.
Myself, I have a score to settle with a particular Chelaxian during this gala.

![]() |

"That sounds like my friend! In combat we win as a team. Here we will do the same. A fellow patriot is going to this wedding, and I fear that he may make a scene. I hope we can talk some sense into him before he does anything rash. as for settle a score with a Chelish Noble, I'm more than happy to help."

![]() |

"That's the spirit, Bishop. They all have the right of it. Diplomacy is just a different kind of fight. I'm sure you'll find a way to use your skills. Though if this were an Ulfen wedding, we'd have a nice brawl to kick things off." Adamus grins before turning to Erin. "If I had known you'd be so uneasy wearing a dress, I would have worn my kilt. But you should still relax, you look pretty and pants are a little overrated."

![]() |

Rosham laughs aloud. There is nothing 'noble' about any Chelish pretender, and certainly no legitimate blue blood in them. However, this particular pretender has the ear of the usurper on the throne of our once-and-future colony. As such, we obviously cannot move against him directly, but must introduce him to humiliation before his betters. 'Twill serve him right.

![]() |

Amira turns her head to *Insert nobility title you bought here* Bowe. "We're going to make allies; not shove noses in dirt. So long as your humiliation, he thinks kindly of the Decemvirate or only despises you, I have no legitimate objections."

![]() |

With a small smile Erin responds to Adamus.
"Thank you, but I am finding out quickly that it is not easy to relax dressed like this. Besides, could you see me effectively brawling in these clothes?"
She gestures wildly at her garb, then places a single finger to her cheek in thought.
"I guess the look has its uses though."
Sleight of Hand 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 (For while getting prepared for the wedding)
"For instance, can you tell how many weapons, tools, and other dangerous items I am carrying?"
She asks with a wry smile.

"I think I will be skipping the dancing and get more involved in the tasting of the fine wines that are sure to be there. Such a grand wedding should bring some of the finest items out of stock. This is quite possibly a once in a lifetime chance to sample some of the rarer vintages on Golarion."

You arrive at the Blakros’s Galleon along with many of the other influential and famous of Absalom. The guests are dressed well as they will be seen, but not in their wedding best, as they are on a boat after all.
When you arrive you spot the Trade Prince Aaqir al’Hakam at the top of the gangplank. Shortly after, Lady Gloriana Morilla arrives with a small retinue. Spotting the group of you she makes her way over. Valsin has more faith in you than I do. At least you had some guidance in dressing the part. She gives a knowing nod to Rosham.
Since I don’t trust you to find out for yourself, let me give you a few pointers. That is Nigel Aldain, the current curator of the Blakros Museum. She motions to a tall, thin Elf with long, dark hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing fine clothes and silver-rimmed spectacles.
Alexander Bedard, a member of Andoran’s ruling people’s council and a slightly disappointed suitor to Michella Blakros. Gloriana gives a little chuckle as she points out a stocky, muscular man in finely tailored navy blue garments.
Jeon Raeng-Woo, the Blakros’s trade liaison to Tian Xia. A well dressed Tian man with unkempt black hair scurries up to the boat.
And Commander Rubaani Shafar, head of security on the island and here to personally escort us, the most important wedding guests of course. A tall and muscular Garundi woman, Rubaani looks somewhat out of place in her ceremonial half-plate armor.
These are a few of the guests the Society would like to see on their side. Do your best, whatever that may be. You have precious little time to convince them it will be in their best interests to be beholden to the society. Of course, everyone has their weaknesses, but finding out what theirs are also takes time.
Morilla spots an arriving guest and moves on to intercept them with all grace and poise you have come to expect from her Ladyship.

GM Brute Squad |

Influencing guests is a little unique in this scenario. Each of you can make an attempt (RP and Social Skill check: Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate) to influence a specific guest, or other generic guests. Splitting up is allowed, Aid Another is allowed. You can also attempt to dig up gossip on someone in place of an Influence check. A success on that will give you an advantage on any future attempt to influence them.
You may board the Galleon and seek out one guest during your journey to speak to. The island is a little less that one day away.

"As we discussed, I do have an personal agenda. I'd expect the same of everyone else on this boat. So, if you'll excuse me." Amira states as she applies some exotic perfume. She then boards the boat and approaches the Tien individual.

Erin.
"That's a shame. I bet you could really move out there."
Later on..
Adamus' eyes wander towards Rubaani. This is going to be a task that he will truly enjoy undertaking for Ollysta. He casually walks up to her after adjusting his outfit."Hail and well met. I am known as Adamus Vintersten. I'm told you are the lovely Mrs. Shafar? While I know you are working security, do you have a little time for some conversation?"
Diplomacy!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Erin gives a small awkward flourish toward Adamus and proclaims sarcastically.
"Time to go socialize with my apparent betters."
She then breaks off to approach Nigel Aldain.
As she reaches the elf she gives a small tilt of the head an introduces herself.
"Good day to you Nigel, I am Erin from the Pathfinder Society. I am Erin Alegra with the Pathfinder Society. I am a field agent that specializes in recovering lost relics and was hoping you could spare some time on this momentous day to discuss a little bit of business. I trust you find our vigilant assistance with occurrences at the museum to your liking?"

Nigel fidgets with his glasses while talking, Um, yes, trouble and you lot seem to go hand in hand. I have advanced knowledge of rare artifacts and ancient civilizations. More than I can say for some of you lot.

Rosham tsks and shakes his head. Now, there's no need to be like that, my good man. Rosham leans in close again, but doesn't hush his voice quite so much as before. We both know that the Society went to some lengths to rescue you from the mind control of the Tik Taan idol and then to pull your backside out of the fire when the impetuous Imrizade Blackros went missing under your watch. Rosham smiles. But we're not here to enumerate your past debts to the Society.
Rosham straightens again and claps the curator on the back. Let us talk of the future! To the lovely nuptials we are soon to witness! Rosham offers a drink from his personal wineskin. Quitely, he says, it's Taldan fire-brandy — some of the best!

When Bishop sees his partymates making a quick go towards individuals, he does the same, figuring the teamwork will come later in the reception, or so he hopes. Fixing his uniform and foppish attire, he approaches Alexander.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 = 7 Wow, that's an auspicious opening!
The ranger looks everywhere but in the eye of his countryman.
Bishop clears his voice in clear discomfort. Councilman Bedard, a pleasure to meet you sir. I...uhhh. You see.... social gatherings.... well, the thing is. Socialites are like deer. When you spook them, or when you stand upwind of them, sometimes they run away. And other times you're the only hunter in ....Oh Erastil's arse! Councilman, I'm no good at this. We're both men of liberty. This wedding is like the counsel chamber. It's a game with stakes based on who says what to whom and how. I beseech you to not let the greater good of republicanism to fall to pride. Play it cool and level headed at this thing, got it?
The ranger finally turns his gaze directly into the pupils of Bedard.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 4 = 15 So tell me councilman, what's your take on this? What is going on here that I don't see, yet I should see? What gains can our grand experiment have, and what risks present themselves to the good of the people whom have elected you and promoted me?

Yandu sees Bishop struggling in his conversation with Alexander and steps in. He shows his breast with the shiny Andoran Eagle and feels well in his new clothes - smelling of roses.
"May I introduce myself - Yandu - a well known Andoran hero - mainly for my help preventing a war with the fey in Falcons Hollow.
I'm now spreading the word of the glory if Andoran here in Absalom. Just ask the Minitaur Prince about me - maybe you will see him at the wedding.
Just let me know if you want introductions. Or just someone to chat to.

She quietly whispers something to Rosham in Varisian.

Erin then focuses back on Nigel.
"Nigel, the reason you see us as associated with trouble is because we are generally the first ones on site to take care of the problems. We make the trouble go away, so to say. To be honest there may be a little of this trouble heading in your direction as we speak. I am quite well connected and have heard mentions of the Aspis Consortium coveting a certain item of yours. I believe it would be in the best interests, for both parties involved, to work closely in the future."

Erin, Rosham
Ah, yes, you would think that, wouldn’t you. Excuse me, I have somewhere else to be, I’m sure.
Yandu, Bishop
You think I can’t control myself during this sham of a wedding?! You should show some more respect for your leaders, woodsman! Bedard turns to Yandu. Well, at least you know how to keep a civil tongue. I am honored to meet you, Yandu, may you always stand tall and free.
Amira
Business! Well, I was just on my way to tea with some important Chelish nobles. You may join us if you insist.
Adamus, I have not forgotten about you. I just want to craft a good response to a roll like that.
