I can see it now....Fei comes back, but randomly clucks like a chicken at odd times. Or gathers acorns for no discernible reason. Or goes rooting for truffles in the mornings. Awesome.

"Hey sweety. Now that your mom's behaving herself, I thought you could use some reinforcements," he jokes gently.

Raelle would be Fieri's half-sister... so... half-daughter-in-law? I think? Who knows anymore.

"Dad!" Vai shouts, turning around as soon as she hears his voice, and leaps towards him, squeezing him in a crushing hug (Strength 14 :P). "Dad, Fei. He's. He's gonna come back now." that statement became a question halfway through, but it sounds hopeful at the same time. "I was so worried." she says more quietly, after the initial crushing stage of the hug is done.

its a timelord thing ...sow a seed of doubt... then cultivate it... then act as if hope is lost... then pull a miracle out of nowhere and save the day... it a standard M.O.

Tamrin may note that the Firebird standing nearby has a slash of purple in his hair the same colour as the scales of (most of) his family. While he is standing simply watching the events, the way he holds himself indicates a certain coiled ferocity, a readiness for combat.

Tybalt catches Johnny when s/he staggers. "You Ok?"

"Thanks Ty, Im ok just power drained, that was a lot harder then it looked"

"Isn't there a safer place to keep this thing at instead of out in the open?"

"Air and water Ty, like full of the stuff and all the amo it needs, also is cool here and the roots go down a long way, finding all the elements down in the bed rock."

As Mel dos her thing, johnny look on, then says to the group.

"That really great Mel syncing nicely, rest is down to time, and Fei himself, seen as he starts to become self-aware hes going to have to work to even out his mindsate, any one who knows him and is psionic, it would be good to have them talk to him wile hes in there, give him a base to work around Vie, can you?"

Tybalt gives a happy smile at the reunion between father and daughter. Everyone is happy now and that makes Tybalt very happy. ^_^

Vai shakes her head to Johnny, frowning. "I'm not telepathic at all." She wished that Phaezeriel wasn't so busy these days, now would be perfect for him.

Tybalt remains close to Johnny, happy that there is now someone he can be near without hurting. As the heat coming off Johnny starts to get to him he pulls back and has that look of realization you get when you suddenly remember something really obvious. He rummages around through his pocket until he finds a gold medallion with a stylized sun pattern on it. He pulls off one of his medallions with an odd crest on it and replaces it in his pocket. The new one goes on and he goes back closer to Johnny. The tenseness he usually has in direct sunlight disappears leaving a look of contented comfort.

Vai looks up at her Dad, then back over to Melody... before releasing Tamrin from the death grip and hurrying over to place a hand on Melody's wand... careful not to touch her hand in the process. She didn't want to have a panic attack just now.

Knowing that she could use a little extra encouragement, Tam follows Vai (but, unsure of what exactly the other young lady was planning, does not put a hand on her)

if you are immune to mind effects then you would have to lower them. you can also make a will save to resist but that is optional. the ability really only works on a willing target

With her Dad there to encourage her, the panic stays at bay for the moment... and she leans in to touch foreheads with Melody.

Cue nosebleeds from the men as for a moment it looks like they are about to kiss. ;D

Melody can feel Vai trembling at her touch... but she follows the directions Melody gives, focusing everything she has on all the happy memories and thoughts.

These are all the thoughts that flash through her mind, Melody may get a glimpse of them of course. Almost all are happy or positive memories and emotions.

They had met just after she arrived at Avalon. He had been standing with Nasima. The day Nasima and Vai became roommates, she had blushed at Fei in her blue dress. The morning of the Lycan rebellion, she had stood near him for protection. The first training session together, where she had first witnessed Fei's destructive ability... and had almost been injured by it. The meeting about Khoda, and Fei's muscled body on display for her, wearing only a swimsuit. Her confession of her feelings at the dinner table, with everyone watching. Him protecting her from a kinetic surge in the training room that same night. He said yes! Their first dawn together... so many mornings spent welcoming the dawn. The morning she had played the harp for him, and kissed him on the cheek. His smile in that moment. The flight where they had said they loved each other. The first time she had called him meldanya. And then... him protecting her and fighting for her on Belsayv, only yesterday.

Once there is no more and when Vai is ready, Melody will break her connection with her.

almost immediately melody's eyes gloss over, she drops her sonic device and falls to her knees. I understand, Melody starts to cry ever so slightly. looking to the ground as though ashamed.

need to get to sleep, Melody will sign off for now, Ty or somebody, can escort her to the infirmary even though, she insists there is nothing wrong.

Fade to persuasion as he guides her off to the medical wards. While they're there he pops in and out while cleaning the room he had setup for tailoring out before fifth period ends.

Vai stumbles back into her Dad after the connection breaks, the sheer vividness of her memories causing her to temporarily become weak in the knees.

"She's... the first friend I made at Avalon, and my roommate. She's been gone a while." Vai says quietly, wondering not for the last time why Nasima had been gone so long.

Vai wasn't sure exactly what had happened, but hopefully she had helped Fei. She really wanted to talk to him, so she nodded to Ace. "Please Ace. I want to make sure he's okay. Thank you Melody, and Tybalt's right, you should get checked out."

Tam puts a supporting arm around Vai, bracing her up against his side if necessary to keep her legs under her.

"You're going to have to send me a cheat sheet on who all of your new friends are, kiddo - I can't keep track anymore," he whispers with a little chuckle.

She looks up at her Dad and smiles shyly, not really needing the support, but glad for it. "Honestly I can't keep track myself sometimes."

Flashing Vai's dad a smile, Ace introduces himself "Casil or Ace. Either works."

He then sits down and meditates, yet instead of the normal ten minutes, he feels the shift in focus completed in just one.

"Ok Vai, I'm going to use just a simple link of minds, nothing invasisve. I'll then use a telepathy power which should let us talk to Fei."

Just going to keep winging it here. Using Mindling and some Telepath communication power. May not normally work, but I am playing it off as it does, due to what is currenlty going on with Ace

I was actually looking for the a power that grants telepathy... I don't see anything for a non-psionic. Metaconcerts require psychicly active people. I believe Phaeze adapted the vitalist's collective ability with the telepath's communication to enable such a thing though. Could swing that.

Vai nods, opening her mind to it as Phaezeriel had instructed him to do. She was surprisingly, used to this kind of thing. Hopefully Fei chose not to resist it...

This is the first time Vai has heard any kind of fatigue in Fei's voice. If that is the correct term to use with telepathic communication, of course...

::I'm okay Fei. I know you didn't mean to. I'm healed. You... pain I can handle, but I thought I'd lost you. I love you. Rest if you need to, but I'm here if you want to talk to someone.::

Vai's relief is palpable through the telepathic link, and also a hint of worry that still present, especially at how exhausted Fei sounded. But he was still healing.

::....I....may still...be a danger...Vai. I do...not want...you hurt....again.....:: Fei replies, relief battling with with the sadness of what he let happen.

Of course it counts, what and I suppose goin and checking out something falling out of the sky is more impressive, for all they knew it was just a rock.. No you're stupid.. Nuh uhn.. Shut up" he then appears to delve into argueing with himself

Fei's last thought, while still sounding exhausted, carried just the barest hint of humor in it. This may indeed work after all... (^-^)

And this could allow us to fade if we want to. Even at the rapid rate of regeneration, I would guess Fei needs to sit in there for several hours, so this could be a good jumping off point if anybody wants to actually get something else done before the day is over ;P
