"Yeah I did want to check it to check it out but I saw one of the dragons in the school heading there. Plus the sound would have drawn enough attention to get others over there. So by this point I think we would more likely be in the way if we went."

Dom laughed. "After how my sis talked to him I doubt he'll push too much. I still plan on watching out for my sis, though when I can't I trust she can look out for herself. As for Morrivan, I have faith that she doesn't need me watching over her shoulder. Besides she has someone already to look out for her and I don't think the guy has any bad intentions anyhow. If I didn't have Tamina, I probably would look at Morrivan the same way. She is the type I would have a fun night with when I was traveling."

Vai doesn't even shy away from Tybalt's gloved hand - something that indicates to everyone who knows of her neuroses exactly how disturbed she is at that moment. Her hair has fallen in front of her face, and she doesn't move it away... some sort of security blanket perhaps. She doesn't reach out to anyone present, but she also doesn't try to move away from Melody either. (or Ace, if he moves in to console as well).

She'll probably need a little time at least to recover, but she has shown remarkable resilience thus far... The sobs are already slowing.

Rosa looks at the play back of the events the lead to Fie's obliteration, she looks around at the blast area, then down at Vai, The 18' war robot seems to have a sad look on her face.

Melody looks at what Johnny is showing her. could be. But what does that mean?

using the her reference for Johnny for now as I kind of pictured Johnny with a slightly more feminine persona at the moment

As soon as Johnny begins to replay Fei's final moments again, Vai shuts her eyes tight and covers her ears with her hands blocking the world out as much as she can.

As Via goes even deeper into despair a little something snaps in Tybalt's mind. This has gone on long enough time for action.
"OK so. We know that When this happened Fei is now all around us. The nanites contain a piece of him each. Can someone get enough of them together for Mrs.Aanda to do something with. If you can help us with that we will have a substantial amount of the nanites and Fei bits. Then" he turns to Johnny and Melody. "Can one of you write a program to spread through the nanites and make them gather the others? Once we gather enough of them maybe Mrs.Aanda can remove the outside user block and we can get the rest to find themselves."

Interesting... Mel pulls out her scanner and starts scanning the area. every so often checks the readouts.

come on...come on.... no that won't do, wait... she stars moving toward fei's final location. and a more intense scan.

maybe...

She goes back to Johnny and hopefully at least Ty. she shows her sonic device to them. look at these readings... suddenly realizing they can't understand it, she downloads it to the datapad.

with some quick computaions she overlays her readings with the crater visual. here see these red colored areas? alpha waves, brain patterns. concentrated here and here. unfortunately not enough, not a complete pattern. Melody points these areas out.

the good news, still active. not much time though, whatever is keeping them active will probably die out, loose power, who knows but either way, each minutes wasted discussing the signal weakens.

"What else needs done? I've got some jars if we need a place toput them." He starts going tthrough his pockets again. He pulls out a white triangle which unfolds into a top hat. This goes in his head. Some string. A Sheppard's crook. "So that's where I left it!"

Repparyn makes his way through the school halls to the cafeteria, casting about for anyone still present of the group that Tryko'Sam was talking about.

Don't have much time....didn't really have this time, but trying to get this in before things move forward too much.

Based on Ardiente's speed he and Raelle should turn up about now.

Raelle tried not to look too much as the scenery sped past. Even when flying she didn't go this fast and it was a bit disconcerting. Once they arrived and Ardiente set her down it took her a minute to figure out where they were or what they were looking at. None of which seemed very important once she saw Vai crying. She quickly scrambled her way over to Vai and hugged her.

"Vai, what's wrong? What happened?"

Finally having someone she was comfortable with, Vai returns her sister's hug gently at first, but then with increasing strength, tears dampening Raelle's clothing as Vai puts her face into her shoulder. "It's Fei... he... he..." She can't quite bring herself to say that he was gone. He wasn't gone. They could still help him.

Ardiente was there with Raelle, not joining in the hug but instead examining the scene. He's not sure exactly what has happened, so he looks at Tybalt, and Johnny, Rosa, and Melody. He didn't know the last one... but still.

Tybalt seemed to be the most active one at that moment, so he looks to the Ice cat... not exactly on the friendliest of terms.. but still. "Tybalt. What can I do?"

Thus freeing Aananda from comfort daughter mode to help with tech mode.

The drone drifted away from Vai and towards where Johnny and Melody were talking.

"Johnny, I think you have a basic misunderstanding. My nanites don't have an AI. Just simple programming. The program in this case was to protect Fei and the nanites were keyed to him...they gathered energy from him and dispersed it. You're right about the nanites gathering pieces of him....well, actually two separate sets of nanites with two different programs mingled, exchanged programming due to the blast and ....anyways, that's not important. The important part is that whatever of Fei is left is contained in those nanites and we need to gather them."

"If you can get enough of them together we can send the signal that will bring the rest, but you'll need an authorization code or the nanites won't respond.. This unit was made in a hurry and doesn't have the capability to broadcast the code. I can send it to Rosa I think."

As Ardi and Raelle arrive in a blast of fire Tybalt immediately reacts by appearing in a nearby tree. " Hi. . . " he says in a small voice. Phobias will do that to you. "Little metal bits in the dust. Got a way to collect them?"

"Yeks more a misunderstanding of how 'basic' the AI systems are here, this planets Paranoid fear of AI's wile become a real limiter on its development, but heres hoping one-day."

Rosa talks to the Drone.

Morrivan is just headed to her next class since it was time for fifth period anyways.

in that case grim gathers up his things and leaves necromancy class, and unless stopped heads on to where the oter young students were at.

As Ardi and Raelle arrive in a blast of fire Tybalt immediately reacts by appearing in a nearby tree. " Hi. . . " he says in a small voice. Phobias will do that to you. "Little metal bits in the dust. Got a way to collect them?"

Those who had known Ardiente before today may notice the purple streak which has appeared in his hair.

"No more fire." Ardiente says reassuringly, trying to form at least a temporary truce in his and Tybs' emnity. "I will try to collect them."

Ardiente drops easily into an earthbending form, sending his awareness out into the surrounding crater... but he cannot detect any of the metal bits Tybalt was speaking of. In fact he didn't sense much of the dust either... it wasn't dirt... or earth. It was something else.

"I don't sense anything out there. Nothing I am able to bend anyway." he said, no longer caring who knew that he was an earthbender. This is probably a somewhat confusing statement though, given that his earthbending abilities have only thus far been revealed to a scant few.

Tybalt falls out of the tree and stops a foot or two above the ground he jams the end of the curved cane into the ground and crouches on the curved head of it. He is obviously still reluctant to be here but everyone deserves another chance. "I thought they were metal. They're tiny machines with some bits of a guy in them. We need to collect a bunch of pieces so we can save him."

Ace has been sitting on the ground, next to Vai. When Johnny begins to replay the 'death' scene, he tries to talk to her in an effort to distract her, telling her that everything will be OK, reminding her that he was the one who cured Ginni when nobody else could come even close, telling her a story from his past about overcoming seemingly impossible odds, anything to boost her confidence that Fei will come back.

As the tech trio talks about needing a way to gather all the nanties, especially those that are apparently buried in the earth or scattered far away, Ace experiences a really strong pulling sensation from Vai, so much so that he actually holds his head like he's in pain "Ugh, Vai, oooh, alright, ah, you're the key here. I think you can use your Champion abilities to pinpoint the nanties, and bring them together with a simple cantrip."

Vai blinked the last of the tears from her eyes, they drip down and roll of her face. Ace's encouragements and the appearance of Raelle had gone a long way to calm her down. Nothing quite like having a sister's shoulder to cry on. She looks at Ace, a little shocked. She had just been thinking that she might be able to use her abilities as a Champion to help. "How did you know I'm a Champi... never mind. You're right... though it's going to take hours. I don't know if we have hours."

"What's a champion? And what can trip do you need? I have a bunch."

Ace smiles his most reassuring grin "I have no idea how I knew that, but I just did. Regardless, I have no idea how long it will take, but you better get started now, in case it does take several hours. Best not waste any more time. I have faith you in Vai and of your love for Fei"

"Where do you think you're going, Grim?" Krays asks, not looking amused at all.

Harmonious wandered the halls during 5th block, having study period. Classes weren't really hard yet, so he just sort of watched odd students while walking about, tying to get used to this place.

when I said "in that case" I ment because apparently we had moved on to 5th, did I forget something?

"Where do you think you're going, Grim?" Krays asks, not looking amused at all.

Now I'm confused. Necromancy was fourth...bell just rang for end of fourth beginning of fifth. Grim left after I said the classes changed over.

Oh my bad. I assumed when you said "unless stopped" it was while class was still going on. Why else would he be stopped? Anyhoo feel free to ingore that post.

Vai closes her eyes, and focuses on her pendant, placing a hand over it mometarily, almost as if it were some kind of Divine Focus. When she pulls away the hand, the diamond is glowing softly with a warm light. Vai opens her eyes (her irises instinctively contract to their narrowest possible), now seeing the full breadth of the electromagnetic spectrum of Light. The world is a vivid, hypercoloured place. There are not enough words to describe how vivid and colourful it is to one who has not seen it as such. Fortunately, Vai's powers are divine, and so she's able to fit it into her mortal brain.

She is able to pick out the sources of transmissions in the area, able to see the myriad of tiny pinpricks beaming signals back to the school. There's so many of them. Billions.

She hesitates slightly, but then begins to make the action motions and words to cast a spell to start gathering the nanites... Prestidigitation.

Rosa talks to the Drone.

Aananda sends the code to Rosa over the comm channel dedicated to only her.

"Okay, once they have enough pieces together you can use that code to gain access to the nanites' programming and give them the command to assemble. This should send out a signal to any stray bits and pieces so you can be sure that any pieces that weren't destroyed are all collected."

"Bertha, I told you, this is resting...."

Hm. I wonder how Vare receives these mystical comm messages. ;D

"So are all the piece gonna collect into the suit he had or just a blob? If it weighed 16 pounds or less I can fix it."

Since it broadcasts from the nanites in the air...he probably thinks it's just dream talk. :)

"Just give it up, Bertha - you know she's an impossible patient," Tamrin says with a sigh as he walks in and over to his wife's bed.

"Do I want to know what triggered my contingency , or is it a surprise?" [I] he asks as he kisses her hand. [I/] ;)

"Rosa, I'm going to turn the situation over to you for a little bit. I...uh....yeah, I'll check in again shortly."

She hits the button on her headband to turn off the comm relaying her words to the drone as the head healer stalks off, frustrated with dealing with Aananda and her refusal to follow instructions.

"Uh....hi, sweetheart. Well....it's a surprise, sort of. Fei had an incident. The kind that results in trying to reassemble the individual cells kind of incident. When it started...Vai got caught in the first burst. I ran here to check on her and then Fei teleported to check on her too, but he still didn't have things under control and had to teleport away quickly. I followed thinking I could help like I did before....but it was much more severe than before and I was distracted by the vomiting from the teleportation sickness and then all I could do was run but not fast enough and the contingency kicked in as the edges of the blast hit me and teleporting twice in close succession was...not fun. Which is why I'm here hooked up to this IV so I can rehydrate and why Bertha is wanting me to rest, but I had to help try and recover what's left of Fei...and I'm fine. They healed the minor burns and scratches and bruises and whatnot and the scan says the babies are fine, so there's no need for a fuss. Umm...we're having twins, by the way. Surprise," she said with a nervous sort of smile.

Tybalt uses the lace sensing the presence of the nanite signal to follow suit and gather up as many nanites as he can in his hat with prestidigitation.

As the bell sounds Lang looks to Dom. it seems master Morrivn went on to her next class. Thanks Dom for the advice, and the new water bending trick.

As Vai begins to do her thing, Ace had stood up and was leaning on his staff. He wasn't sure what those pulls were about, so he used his staff this time for support.

Suddenly, his staff starts to glow slightly, a pale golden color. It starts to envelop him, and then spreads to Vai as well. It doesn't harm either of them, but Vai feels about ten times more confident in herself, in what she's doing. She knows Fei will come back, she will see his smile again. This certainty seems to almost open a wellspring deep inside her, flooding her with a powerful inner Light.

As she looks around, she notices the nanites are being gathered far faster than they should have been, as thousands, no millions, begin to stream together, filling the jars Tybalt has provided. When they are all full to the brim, the nanites just sort of hover in small clouds above each jar, seeming to wait.

"Vai is okay. Physically at least. She was successfully treated before she went to try and find Fei. I wasn't really in any shape to answer questions when I first got back here. She's trying to help with the recovery efforts. He's...sort of almost still alive for certain values of alive so they're working as fast as they can....I don't know how well this is going to go, but we have to try."

"Which is why I was driving the infirmary staff nuts because I've been communicating with the group at the explosion site via a remote control drone instead of resting. Vai blamed herself...I think I was able to explain to her that this wasn't her fault. I hope so."

"And once I'm not in the middle of dealing with a major crisis for two seconds put together I'm probably going to freak out at least a little. This wasn't exactly when we'd planned on having more children...they'll actually be younger than our grandchildren...that makes my head hurt a little."

No need to worry jar less nanites Tybalt has an @$$ load of useless things in his pockets to be housed in. :) Top hat, jars, bowls, half of a basket ball, a vase, a glass skull, a fez, some beakers, a pair of boots, and even an entire bucket. No nanite shall be without a place to live!

I think Lyn just messed up for a second. Waterbending was fifth period. Classes being done by post name and period has gotten her confused. Then again this whole Fei explosion has gotten really confusing.

But being with me is a dream made reality. So where does that leave you. ;p
