Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

There appears to be a large pile of books in the center of the room. As if there were a book avalanche. The bookshelves appear to have broken and are leaning on top of the pile. From underneath the books the muffled noise can be heard again, more insistently this time.

At first, there's the raised eyebrows of Anahita's features once she takes the view of the avalanche in. Then, without hesitation, she springs forward, mightily closing the distance to the pile and pushing back the bookshelf with a fair amount of strength behind her athletic lean figure.

Needless to say, given her adroitness and strength, the books are cleared rather quickly as are the bookshelf itself, pushing it up and away, seeking to clear the impasse that would not allow whoever was buried there, the means to get out.

"I'm pushing this back- be ready to get out, if you have anything broken or seriously injured.. do not move. I can heal. Just give me ..." she grunts girl like at some effort, "a few more m.. moments, there we are!"

Once the bookshelf is either moved back into place, or to the side, Anahita goes to help shift books off, and gently see who's injured and what they extent of such are, when able.

As always, diplomatic and sensitive to the person's injuries, both mental and physical. Her black wavy hair flowing about as she does, yet not hindering her. Go go super shampoo conditioner. Silky goodness.

As always, Fei's words give Vai courage, and she nods and smiles, already started on the second plate. She had noted his attempts at eating everything. She knew she had made too much for him, but he can see a smattering of pride in her expression as he tasted the fruit of her efforts.

The food is generally quite bland and tasteless, but edible - no skill on the chef's part has aided the meal whatsoever. Any flavour can be attributed to the ingredients used; no masterful combinations or elegant refined tastes. But, then again, Vai has just begun her journey in this regard.

"I hope Sadie is feeling alright. She and... Renkai? I think that was his name. They were using real blades... both of them were cut up pretty badly. They had to be taken to the infirmary." Vai decides to omit her own wound - and the embarassment with the skirt. Fei can likely sense that Vai hasn't told the whole story, but she's already tucking into the third plate. They disappear at a startling rate. It is somewhat disconcerting to one who isn't used to Vai's eating habits (which Fei is by now. ;P).

I can envision Fei's training in arrow deflection/snatching being utilized quite often in protecting others from the food 'missiles' produced when Sunwake children 'consume mass quantities'... ;D

"I did not see Sadie in the Infirmary while I was there, so I would think she is well and still able to go flying this evening."

"I am not familiar with the other name you mentioned - was there any reason why they were not using the appropriate class equipment?"

Midori bursts into a fit of giggles as one of the squirrels demonstrates his tiny shuriken. It was just too much adorableness. The shuriken would be like... a bee sting! "Senpai! Tooo much! *breathe* Too cute! *laugh*"

Bradley groaned as he tried to scramble out from the pile of books, at first only succeeding in reburying himself, but by the third try he manages to get out from underneath the pile and falls down panting on the floor.

It is a shame she cannot simply become a dragon and eat it all in one gulp. It would be much easier, but we don't want a dragon in the cafeteria, do we?

May I get a description of this poor fellow, Lynora? Unless the picture is all I will get, just curious what he looks like, dressed, visible gear. Thanks!

Kneeling near Bradley, after seeing that the book case would not topple once again- or if it did, he was clear of any possible fall, Anahita puts a tentative hand atop Bradley's shoulder asking, "Sir, are you well? Does anything feel broken?"

Giving him a quick visual survey too, she looks for any signs of obvious injuries and the like, helping him or guiding him to a sitting position, or laying on his back, so he can breath properly and rest from the horrible attack of literary proportions.

"If you are injured, please let me know.. I may be able to heal it."

Then she'll wait to hear what he has to say, if anything.

Bradley looks like this. Thin, tallish, blonde, wearing a school uniform that has obviously seen better days. yesterday, for example, was clearly a better day.:P

"Uh...." He coughed. "Oww. I think I broke a couple ribs," he said with the tone of someone who had a lot of personal experience with various injuries.

"Easy there, sir. Please, do not try to move too much. I shall attempt a healing spell."

With a gesture and word, based on his description of ribs being broken and discerning that he appears knowledgeable of personal injuries, Anahita calls for the healing powers appropriate to the situation.

I'm figuring a few cure light wounds here, no? Her impressive Heal skill with a Take 10 should warn her otherwise.

1d1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
1d1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Then, once the spells were slung, she inquires, "Does that help with the pain? I can bring you to the infirmary if you wish." She does though, while keeping a warm hand on his back, helping support as needed and providing comfort in the contact, glance about quick to see if there's anything odd going on, before returning her attention to Bradley.

She waits for a response.

I made a promise to be your friend, I made a vow to myself to never let you suffer alone.

if it gets too hot beyond what he can control, Lang may be forced to go Avatar to protect them both

Lang does not do anything that will inflict any harm he is only trying to maintain the temperature but still allow her to release her pain that she has held inside.

Lang can sense Ignace cares about him, she is fearful about hurting him.
He tries not to cry as he maintains control of the temperature as best that he can.

as he maintains his concentration he slowly drifts back toward the door.

Lang, Ignace is kinda a fire prodigy, so this is a pretty impressive display. Within twenty feet of Ignace is a raging inferno and it seems to be sustained as long as she's crying. I don't know if he has the skill to manage this kind of heat without going all avatar-state.

Lang has avoided using the "L" word with Ignace but Lang does...(I'm guessing no other expanation on that is needed). But Lang will try as long as he can if not for her then for the sake of others. If he is forced into the Avatar state then it will happen and it just might be what is needed for him as well.

Lang has been seeking his purpose at this school since coming here, this might be his own epiphany of who and what he is.

now the interesting question is this going to draw the attention of others?

Lang cannot let Ignace hide her feelings, bottle her emotions, she needs to face them head on, and this time there will be someone that is willing to be there for her

let me know if damage is delt or not

edit: Lang continues to use every ounce of his bending ability to hold the heat in. working every angle he can to force it down. but without firebending training yet it is becoming increasingly difficult.

will check DC 30 for Avatar state: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

well thank goodness for for fire resistance so that just 2 damage

Lang attempts to create a swirling air vortex to siphon off as much heat as possible and out through the roof (or window, or wall, whichever is easiest to get outside) this may damage school property in doing so though.

Will chack DC 25 or Avatar state: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36

heat proves too intense and Lang starts to feel the heat burning into him. His mind a mix of emotion and survival as well as the need to protect others. Lang moves to try and create the air vortex as some of the heat sears him. though its not the damage that bothers him as so much his sense of loosing control. She need to be calmed. avoiding the concept of "contained" or "put down".

as the pain sears into his hands from the heat Lang looses all sense of himself. as if a hundred other beings utilize Lang as their vessel. Lang glows with a sudden radience of light. burning like a lantern radiating an aura of exualted good. with the sudden surge of power Lang works to force the heat down to a manageable level pulling on the energy of all the elements and all his past lives. Lang finds himself hovering in the air protecting both himself and anyone else in the area from the intense heat.

Lang, now fully engaged as the Avatar, uses all he has to supress Ignace's flame but not snuff it out. as he tries to lower it Lang will move closer with each successful attempt to calm both the flame and her.

Ace smiles at Ginni's philosophical musings "Honestly, I am not sure. It still greatly bothers me though. I have my reasons, perhaps at another time I can explain them. Right now, I am going to tear the library apart looking for some useful answers for you." He leans over and kisses her on the cheek. "Try, a little hard, to behave yourself, ok?"
