Anahita looks back at Dave and appears curious at his words, which clearly she's not completely familiar with.

"You have a means to sail, among the stars? I would be very grateful to know how this is done- or how travel between the suns is possible."

"Very slow, its like looking at things made of wax moving, so very slow, I have to talk slow ornooneknowswhatIamsayingsee That can be a real pain some times.

She zips around looking over Anahita's dress.

"I like you clothing o what classes are you taking I'm taking
Advanced Autohypnosis, History of Temporal Mechanics that's one on one with Salis of Bletherad who ever that is, then P.E. they say a Robot dos that, what ever that is, and flying class like I need it but they said I had to, and cooking cus I like making cakes"

With all these people gathering at the late seems overwhelming to Lang.

with a bow to everyone and then a second bow to Morrivan
If you will excuse me I have some things I need to do. Master Morrivan I hope to meet you later today to begin the lessons

Lang then walks back to his Willow tree where Sun is waiting to begin his meditations.

"yes, I have what's known as a spell-jamming vessel, it's the fastest way I know of, bar interplanetary teleport, to travel among the stars, unfortunately my ship is badly damaged, though I'm working on it, it'll probably take a few months now that I have the proper tools and references, the way it is done in the case of spell-jamming vessel, is that a caster, usually a wizard sits on this magic chair and all of the magic energy he has is converted into motive force propelling them through the stars at a tremendous speed" dave looks slightly wistful at this

She gives a warm smile at that, clearly thinking it was somewhat wise and meaningful.

"I for one, prefer what is natural, and would urge you to not hide behind any potential illusions in this life."

She glances around, then says off to the side, perhaps to Star Light, "Your speed is astonishing, Star Light. I wonder what the world appears like in your eyes. Perhaps you will share that, one day."

"sometimes the predator hides, not to better hunt his prey but because he does not want to be the predator all the time"

AS lang does his morning meditations Sun goes and situates himself to watch the group forming at the lakeside but not to distant attempting to hear conversations going on but not involving himself.

I am curious, now that another is knowledgable of the truth, I wonder what direction the conversation will turn, if at all He muses to himself.

Sun seems particularly interested in hearing the comments and views about hiding of true natures and true forms.

Ardiente listens and pays attention as David makes his display. He is encouraged by the presence of fire and smiles broadly. "Yes, I would enjoy putting on aerial displays for the students." he replies to David, and attempts to pay attention to the conversation... but soon it loses him. Everyone knows there are only two suns of any import. And there was something bothering him about the elf boy in the mask... but he couldn't quite place it. So instead he turns to Raelle. "Hey 'Smokes," he begins casually, "I'm glad there's another firebird here. I was worried that I wouldn't meet one."

He didn't care if he sounded insensitive or any of the sort; he just wanted to get the day over with already. "How about you make yourself useful and just tell me what I may need to do right now. Surely we're supposed to do something after orientation. I wasn't told jack while in that room."

"Well, if you still need to register for classes, there are several staff members in the entrance hall who are handling that. You'll be able to get registered. I hope you'll think on what I said..." Tyrrin stops walking, and a dangerous glint appears in her eye. "And Mr. Krisilanni... you don't want me as an enemy." she finishes, before turning around and walking away, leaving the kitsune alone in the hallway.

Ardiente:
Her name tells you a lot about her position in society compared to you. Del Sol is one of the noble houses, so she should be well above socially speaking, but since she's a genetic anomaly she's considered to be below pretty much every other firebird, socially speaking.

"And there are lots of firebirds here. Most of them came back with my parents several months ago."

Edit: Not Arcane Sight. I cannot remember the name of the spell, but is there anyone near the registration table that can evaluate the power or potential caster level of other creatures.

Sorchan's mouth twitches with a suppressed smile as he reads the paper.

"So, Kezzin, what exactly are you interested in studying here?"

Watching Star Light do her 'zipping' around while talking, she smiles at the compliment at her desert clothing, shrugging at a glance down to it, voicing "I have had this outfit only fairly recently- I suppose I may need something new, at some point, once this one serves it's purpose no longer."

"As for classes," she takes a moment and says in response to Star Light, "Conjuration in order to learn more of all the various beings here and apparently elsewhere, the History of Agartha to become familiar with this world, Mechanics- I am curious as to this technology everyone is so familiar with. P.E. since it is required and Sketching in order to learn something new to do with my hands. Plus it will hopefully allow me to immortalize the beauty I see around me."

Once hearing Dave speak of Spell-jamming through the stars, Anahita considers that information for a few moments, while looking sky ward. Then, once he speaks of the predator hiding, she makes a bit of a face and looks off as Raelle and Ardiente have their interaction.

With Ace walking over, and starting to talk, she considers him, glancing over his features and gear, then walks off back closer to Ehos. She gives the sudden deference of Ardiente another glance, before considering the conversation of the two alpha males have.

She peers around, though, looking over the lake and it's features, a calmness on her face taking in the scenery.

"When does the first class actually commence? How much time do we have until then?" She asks no one in particular, leaving it hanging in the air for anyone to reply to.

Firebirds. Peh. Arrogant bastards, the lot. Ehos looks back to Anahita, the peace on her face in the midst of such tension reminds him of the forest after a storm. As he makes his rounds, Fei notices a new "medic" in the infirmary. Phaezeriel spends a portion of the morning attending to one patient recovering from a traumatic head injury who had yet to regain consciousness.

If you remain to watch:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (18) + 28 = 46.

As Phaezeriel bent over the patient a thin stream of silver liquid trails from one corner of Phaezeriel's eye. A rippling in the air, as of a heat shimmer, seems to connect Phaezeriel and the young boy. After several minutes, a piercingly pure tone sounds, there is a sensation of pressure in Fei's head that seems to come from the room, and the shimmer vanishes. Phaezeriel sags and nods to the attending nurse, then he climbs off the bed with the movements of someone with very sore and stiff muscles. He looks up and nods to Fei, exiting the patient's room as the boy stirs and opens his eyes.

Lang makes his way to the cafeteria, the stage for enough teen drama it could be its own daytime soap opera.

luckily he had arrived before the usual cast of characters arrived as they were most likely still busy expanding thier stage.

Lang is able to get first dibs on some of the prime selections this time finding a small bag with Sun's name on it.
Lang looked at it curiously then took a look inside it was a collection of fruits and greens, all the favorite for a baboon.

Lang looks about to find a bran muffin to add to the bag. as well who may have been responsible for the gift, but no clues seem apparent.

Lang grabs a bowl of noodles and takes one last look for any "guilty gift givers" but finds none

Thank you! he shouts For the gift bag for Sun

Lang heads out as some other early lunch goers start to wander in.

Lang greets then in passing keeping his positive outlook on the day.

He stops by the bulletin board on the way out and sees the notice from yesterday about SIM use.

I will have to see this Miss Rosa after lunch, she may be able to help me with what I am looking for he says quietly to himself, and then continues out to the Willow Tree to meet Sun.

Here ya go, a bag just for you he says as he hands Sun the gift left for him.

Actually Kuros is experiencing a boom lately. Lots of new arrivals. Jiminy employs a lot of people.

And thats why I say my reasons for low balling the money. So I can be given a heads up if I'm wrong. So lots of cloths form Rin.

"As you deem fit then. Clearly my words do not inspire." She gives Dave a little shrug, a light smile, apparently done with the matter. Her black hair shifting and resettling after the motion.

Her attention returns to Ehos, and his notepad, if anything more is being shared, eyeing the location they were at previously a short distance away near the lake.

"there was nothing wrong with the words themselves, it is more the situation, I will concider them, and make my decision later, I thank you for your incite and your time," he gives a small bow and walks over to Raelle the other firebird and Ace, concidering his conversation done.

As he makes his rounds, Fei notices a new "medic" in the infirmary. Phaezeriel spends a portion of the morning attending to one patient recovering from a traumatic head injury who had yet to regain consciousness. ** spoiler omitted **

Fei tilts his head slightly at the sensation, then bows to Phaezeriel as he passes by.

"I am somewhat...concerned with the toll your healing seems to take on you, Phaezeriel. Does that occur with every healing power you have, or just your most potent ones?"

"My name is Raelle del Sol," she said, her grey eyes watching him warily.

"And there are lots of firebirds here. Most of them came back with my parents several months ago."

Ardiente goes sheet white at the mention of Raelle's name. He instantly snaps to attention, suddenly all business. The cool, flaky, flamboyant boy is gone, replaced with military formality. He stops just short of saluting. "Uh.. Pardon me Miss. I hadn't realized there were any of the del Sol here. A thousand apologies." A very strange display for the non-firebirds, who might not pick up on the cultural trappings.

Raelle:
Ah crap. Alright. Stick with the del Sol retainer then. He serves Raelle's grandparents.

"Hmm. What do you think Dara?"

Dara clings to Sadie, peering around from behind her and gives a small nod.

Sadie smiled. "I guess that's a yes."

Vai nodded back and smiled reassuringly as she knelt in front of Sadie, looking at Dara (though taking care not to stare). "It'll be a little scary at first, but I promise you'll be safe and that it's really fun, okay?"

Dara looks nervous, giving another small nod and retreating more behind his sister.

"So when did you have in mind?" Sadie asked, reaching behind her to give Dara a reassuring pat on the back.

"So, Kezzin, what exactly are you interested in studying here?"

Kezzin sounds resigned and a bit resentful, Does it particularly matter? It seems I have no facility with magic, despite my nature, other than that, I do not particularly care. I have some skill with making traps, I am physically capable, and I collect information. Do with that as you will.

"Okay. PE, History of Warfare, Basic Mechanics, History of Agartha, Religion, and if Professor Blackscales thinks that it's warranted possibly and independent study with him. I'd like you to go and speak with him later this afternoon. I'll make an appointment for you. He's indisposed until after lunch though."

"Does that schedule work for you?"

"Oh, I get it," she said, noticing the symbol on his uniform. "You work for my grandparents. So you have to be polite to me."

"So, uh, how did you not know that there were del Sol here? My parents are teachers here and they brought a whole bunch of young firebirds back with them about four months ago. It seems strange for one of my grandparent's retainers to not know that," she said, eying him quizzically.

Ardiente's composure wavers only momentarily. "With all due respect Mistress Raelle, I am a cadet. I only get told what to do. In this case, I was told to come to Avalon and stay until called for." The young firebird looked nervous for a moment, as if trying to decide something difficult. "Permission to speak freely Mistress?"
