Perhaps Tryko has DR? That's described as damage that heals automatically.
He might but the spear actually went through his throat, and caused him to gush blood. That's usually not how DR is portrayed.
I think it might help some people if either of Damiani's PCs had stats. Neither of them even adhere to the basics outlined in the new player primer that I wrote, which was approved by Lyn.
Honestly, I don't get all the secrecy, as unless revealed in game, nobody knows what powers, abilities, classes, race, etc a person has/is.
Officially, only a small handful of people know for a fact that Ace is greater doppelganger, in game. Out of game I don't care, unless you start to obviously metagame.
Unless of course you haven't chosen such things. I'll keep my thoughts to myself on that.
The lack of ten of my levels gives me the ability to keep everyone guessing... which I like....
So everyone doesn't HAVE to post everything about themselves...
I have been mostly very open with all of my characters stats. what was mentioned as classified is really already known OOC by pretty much everyone.
LAng's stats are basically all there to view for everyone to see. there are some adlib times in gameplay that does not conform to the stats. but they are usually pretty small.
I still have not added all of Lang's fire and earth bending abilities since he cannot do them yet.
However, with zero stats posted, how does anybody know what a PC is capable of? This is rules light, not zero rules entirely. It means I could make a PC that technically can do anything, and only Lyn would be able to reign me in, and that's if I even provided her with a full sheet.
Rena doesn't have stats posted.. neither do Repp, Vare, Ehos only has basic stats, Midori only has basic stats, etc.
Has this ever been a problem before? Not really.
I see it as a non-issue. Lyn knows what the characters are capable of, and it's Dami's choice stylistically not to put it out there.
Okay, I'm going to preface this with two things. One, I haven't read whatever post it was that set this little rant off. Two, I am having a really bad day. So I wasn't in a good mood before I got to this delightful little interlude. </sarcasm>
Tryko'Sam is a bit like Claire on Heroes. Or Wolverine minus the adamantine skeleton and claws and with Nightcrawler's powers instead. Think of it as a racial ability if that makes you feel better. I approved it because I think it works.

And gotten special dispensation to get around other folks 'plot immortality' to do it. The second reason is that this is the third or fourth time you've started something like this during a period of time when I had stated that I was going to be dealing with stressful stuff. WTF, dude?
As far as sharing stats go, not necessary. It goes like this. The person running a scene can ask you for a save or a check, you make it. If they question your modifiers they can ask you to break it down and if you don't want to share because [classified] then you wait for me to make a ruling for one side or the other. If it's about a spell or SLA, please link to the power or at least use its name or something. The person running the scene is not required to disclose to you what their antagonist can do either and should have the option to figure that out. Always remember that other players cannot (usually) read your mind.
Now I'm going to get some more ice and some motrin for the pinched nerve in my back (chiropractic adjustment gone horribly wrong) and dream of chocolate and coffee. :(

This has been tried. The player was politely shown the exit. Technically the only person who needs to know the stats is me. Since I'm always the ref if things have gone that far down the PvP road anyways.
Some players like transparency.
Others like things to be revealed ooc only when they are revealed IC.

1. I have made use of plot armor to prevent outright death. One time. The Wearer of Masks used plot armor to exist only partially in the material plane, giving effects against him (except from vai) a miss chance. I haven't ever used plot immortality...
2. I deliberately avoided using names and pointing fingers because tryko's regen just reminded me of the serious offender who I still haven't named...
3. I am sorry for always having my nitpicky moments always mesh up horribly with your stressful moments.... I guess its because when the game is draggy I start thinking about how my characters don't match up in power with most people's amazing story plot powers....

You have one (possibly two) of the most powerful characters in the game. Honestly. I've seen all the character sheets. It's easy to lose sight of this stuff sometimes because some people seem to be more flashy. It's important to remember that other people's cool doesn't make your cool less cool.
I guess the biggest suggestion I would offer here is to hold off on posting this stuff during lulls. If it's a legit concern it can wait for a bit and then you'll have more time to figure out how to best phrase it. If it's a momentary annoyance then waiting will just make it go away.
Also sorry about the extra crankiness on my part. There's a reason I prefaced my first post by saying that I'm having a really bad day.

Okay. This is a fair concern. I noticed this a lot myself over the weekend as I was catching up on reading posts. I think that what Dami really wants is more description. Folks have been more than a bit sparse with narrative description in some cases, to the point of making meaning difficult to decipher. I can't speak for Dami, but I think there's a good chance he would be more than happy to back off about the rules stuff if others would step up a bit more on the description. That doesn't mean you have to write a book for every post. Just try to be clear about what your characters are doing. I think the suggestion to write as if for a non-player reader is a good one. We've had a couple of those over time.
