Its been a slow weekend for all my games this weekend, holiday in the states, first week back in school for many.
I was back in school 3 Weeks ago.
Next week is my first week.
Is anyone waiting on my characters? Just want to make sure I'm not the one holding things up. :)

Yeah, I was gonna wait on Lyn for that one, but if she wants me to, I will narrate the group arriving. After this weekend things should calm down until thursday when school starts.. and even then, my semester should be pretty easy this time - only three courses.
I'm not really sure who our little group is waiting on.
I believe Repp had the last post Lewis, which means Michael, I think.

Apologies for the continued silence on my part. I am running around like crazy taking care of last minute must be done before school stuff...I should be able to get a few posts up later this afternoon. Now to go take the kidlet backpack shopping.
I've had my north face pack for 6 fish years and it still works great. Bit pricey at first but worth it. :)

He's little and his interests change every year...might try and convince him to get a more generic long term backpack next year when he starts middle school. I ordered a pacific rim backpack for him but its not here yet and may not get here for another month. So in the meantime he picked out a red wings backpack . And I am posting from my phone while he looks at Legos...letting him look at Legos is my bribe to get good behavior while we shop for less fun stuff :P

We used to buy backpacks from LL BEAN. They seemed to really last

My second year of college, we came back to campus on a Wed, and classes started the very next day. I refused to go to class that Thurs and Fri, as I was protesting such a shitty schedule.
Classes almost always start on Wednesday here. I don't see why that's so bad?
Because, we had to arrive at the school on Wed, and then had to go to class the next day. It was silly, not giving us any time to unpack and settle in.

Lenient school. At the schools I've gone to, not showing up on your first day of classes would get you dropped from everything. No protest is worth going through registration twice. :)

yeash yeah, registration sucked, hours of standing in line and I didn't even get to ride on a roller coaster
@Lyn: That's crazy. None of my professors even take attendance unless they're the fresh-faced, just got their PhD kind. Y'know, the ones who haven't had trheir spirit broken yet.
@Foul: You guys don't have online registration yet? Ouch, that must really suck. Only pain about my registration was the fact that I waited so long to do so I had to try to fit together a schedule from the scraps. Lazyness bit me in the ass this time. ;D

we had it, but only if you did it in advanced, we somehow didn't get several emails one of which (we are assured) would have told us how to do that

They only take attendance on the first day. It has to do with financial aid requirements. Might be a state thing. No idea.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 'financial aid' just a fancy (and somewhat fallacious) term for student loans? Seems a odd requirement. All you have to do here to get a student loan is present proof of registration (usually just a print off from the website or similar). Of course, I don't really know how it works down there - do you guys get loans directly from the school? Up here you either have to go to a bank or the government.

I now have 2 out of 3 kids in college.
financial aid? what's that? .... sarcasim there... I make to much to qualify but to little to really afford it.
