Like the X-Files, but Pathfinder, but set in the 1830s.
New Year's is over, I'm assuming everyone is going to the hospital to get the game moving.
Sorry if I came over as being bossy there guys, was just thinking as leon made the 1st move to the woman, I think if we all jump in talking to her at once the doctor will freak, so now Leon is there, my thinking is best let him do his stuff.
I hope I have delt with the doctor,
if leon fluffs, old man Tipper cna try his bed side manner as well as he has the skills.
It just occurred to me, what's everyone initiative preference: do you want to do it by-the-book, or first-post basis? I assumed RAW, but I can change that if people want to do something different for the sake of PbP.

I am happy with GM rolling Init or grouo init, or block init or any init. :)

Group init does speed things up a little.
M Human Hedgewitch (Entropic Sage) 5
In my opinion, any of them are fine.
GM rolling initiative speeds things up, which is good.
Once initiatives are sorted out (by GM rolling or PCs rolling), then I find it also speeds things up to block the initiatives together by side.
I'll roll for everyone from now on, then. As an unspoken rule, I always roll groups of the same enemy as a single entity that acts at the same time (I don't like running large groups of enemies, however). Anyway, since this is one enemy, it'll be easy since everyone will fall into either "acts before enemy" or "acts after enemy."

Sorry to leave the group down a member for its first fight. Unfortunately, Felix is wary of civilians, and isn't willing to fight in his social identity in a populated area, even at night. He'll probably be staying in his Crane identity for a while after this, though.
Well post in a few hours at work now
GM just to check we are playing psionic transparency rules where magic and Psionics interact
Male Human Sorcerer 2
I was starting to wonder if we'd have enough offense as a group. Thomas doesn't have much offensive magic until next level unfortunately. Looks like as long as Crane is out we have Harkell and Leon for damage though.
No. Psionics are distinct from magic. What is magic is strictly by-the-book to the best of my understanding and research. If it has a magical aura (spells, items, some creatures, maybe some other things I haven't seen), then it's magic. Otherwise, it's...well, something else. I'd consider changing it, but I've already had to account for it earlier in the game, IIRC, so changing now would make things inconsistent.
Edit: For the sake of game balance, I'll consider magic and psionics the same for combat-purposes, like magical resistances (and conversely, resistance to nonmagical attacks). Otherwise, psionics could potentially be either overpowered or useless.

Understood GM, I may undo that spell and have it some other thing or a scroll. I don't want to brake the game.
If you can do that within the next 2 hours or so, I can edit my GM post in response.
@Harkell: Is there a link that could provide more details on your Adhesive Blast? I assume it's a custom Spheres of Power spell, but what was it created from? I just want to make sure I responded to it correctly.

Ok I have changed her power of dispel psionics with mind hunter, a power of no use here but it would be a power she would take of not dispel.
This round she just tried to see the thing and see what it dose.
KN roll all + 10 I will place that in the Game thread.
See edited GM post for updated response.

Adhesive blast
Also of note on that page is the Admixture talent and the Thorn Blast talent, I am using all 3. Since Thorn and Adhesive both fall under the Plant category, no additional casting time or SP expenditure is needed to Admix them.
I should have been more descriptive, but i did not spend SP on the blast so it is only 3d6. I had planned the character to spend his SP more on non-blast stuff, but if needed pop off a few per day in combat.

I'd like to apologize in advance for the next week. I'm going to be away for a funeral, and I doubt I'll be able to post. Sorry, everyone!
M Humanborn
no need to apologize, it's a funeral, man.
Are Harkell and Alyln not acting this round?
M Human Hedgewitch (Entropic Sage) 5
my bad, i totally missed that it was my turn.

I gave them. It isn't much, but there's only so much you can discern from ectoplasm besides the fact that it's an angry red ghost.

I am confused, so we are not just outside of town, and going back in, we are slap bang in the middle of the mine street and everyone there, IE locals could see everything.
Hummm..
The fight wasn't all that long (less than a minute) and it was at night, so no one was on the streets. And you weren't on main street. Sorry if there was a miscommunication :/ And family is visiting, so I won't have much time to get the game back on track until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Terrible news, all. Myth-Weavers has had a massive loss of data, and among countless others, Felix/Crane's character sheet has been completely wiped. I actually have a lot of characters I'm going to have to remake from the ground up, so I'm not sure how long it'll be before I have everything back to how it was.
Dang, that's like...the biggest bummer all year :/ Fortunately, you do have some stats left on Paizo, so you have a rough idea of how to remake it.

There must have been some real mean hacks of late, D20 was hit and here.
But they had back ups.
Apparently, it was just a mistake cleaning up the database at MythWeavers, and the latest backup was from Summer of last year.
Female Dusk Elf [Native] Telepath L5 | pp 34/40 | HP: 30/30 | AC: 14/18/22 | Touch: 14/18/22 | FF: 14/18/22 | Fort: -1 | Ref: +5 | Will: +6* | Init: +4
OM lady gaga, someone is going to get fired over that one.
Male Human Sorcerer 2
Who has a year between backups?
M Human Hedgewitch (Entropic Sage) 5
exactly. i mean especially a company providing a service
Well Myth-Weavers is free, and I think the guy who did it owned the site, and he seems really sorry about it and so such. It's not like it's Paizo or anything - I think it's really just this one guy and some other staff members. He said he offered to give up the reigns before, so it seems like we were stuck with him because no one else wanted the job? That was just my understanding.
M Human Hedgewitch (Entropic Sage) 5
Ah, i thought they got ad revenue.
Maybe they did, IDK. But it can't be a huge amount of money, and hosting the site costs money too. I guess I just don't see it as a company?
M Human Hedgewitch (Entropic Sage) 5
I mean, if it is one guy, then yeah it is hard to see as a company and i see it more as a guy supplementing his income.
but still, i mean... to not have backups from a year back is pretty egregious. I'm glad that i rarely used mythweavers (didnt really like it/google drive is a thing).
Male Human Sorcerer 2
I get that that's not an easy thing, and that they can't keep it free if they start doing super expensive premium services and whatever, but I'd have failed my first computer multimedia class in middle school if I backed up that rarely. I know it's not bank accounts or anything but if you're going to do it, then do it, you know?

Why where they not hosting with a VM back up, did the Wordpress / homemade platform reverent they seem to be using not have that. See this is way I always go with Liferay. It may cost and be Java but its good with DBs and VM back ups.
It wasn't quite a year, and the problem as I read it was that the guy actually overwrote the database while cleaning it up. IDK if he was backing it up at the same time? And then Amazon didn't have a backup of it more recently than from summer.

Yeah, sorry, I know I haven't gotten my sheet back up-- it's a major slog, and I may or may not have been putting it off due to all the work involved. I'm getting it done now, or at least some of it. I think I got his ability scores right. I found the post with my initial rolls, and I have somewhat of an idea of where I would have put them...
