I'm not sure which one is better I guess if your going for toughness you could always do barbarian. And judging by mine and Aurora's cats...rage certainly fits I've currently got a pretty bad cut on my arm from where one decided to flip.
Cassian Vespertine |
O snap! Uhhhhhhhh... I'm game for whatever! Let me know if/how I should modify Cassian's character sheet :-)
Cassian Vespertine |
Hey! Just so we're all on the same page: I totally aware of how ludicrous the question is going be; I fully and completely understand that. With that said!
Are we going gestalt in Wrath? I just thought of how funny it would be to make Kieran barbarian/monk and use enemies as his preferred weapon. There's so many cool grapple options that I could use the body bludgeon and hurling talents with to make it work. Besides, the image in my head of this giant dude flipping out and just grabbing people and bowling through crowds with them made me laugh for shamefully long time a second ago. I had to ask :-)
Cassian Vespertine |
O! I'd probably gestalt Cassian with SGG's talented monk or machinesmith.
I'd also like to ask if I could swap a couple feats during the redraw. If we're making a change.
Cassian Vespertine |
True, Mir, but smiles are priceless. I'm enjoying myself regardless of any changes planned or just considered.
Aurora Cross |
What's some good bard spells for a character like Aurora? Most bard spells are either A: flashy or b: mind effecting which doesn't help in this campaign where mos of our enemies seem to be constructs or undead?
Or crazy thought should I choose something like the Vanguard as my gestalt same spell progression as bard but it's the sorceror/wizard list and gives me some arcane oomph. So I could be our semi arcane character when we need one?
Cassian Vespertine |
That's a pretty good question. To rephrase it: should we build our characters as gestalt (two different classes) or gestalt (two different classes) + SGG archetype.
I would also assume that we're sticking with the heroic distinctions, regardless.
I just want to be sure that I'm going by the same rules as everyone else.
DM Corerue |
I'm not worried about the addition og the SGG archetype. Things are going to be a bit more crazy from here on out so you best come at me with your best shot.
As I said the conversition process didn't go as I intended and some of these enemies are way tougher then I thought. However to dummy them down nmakes them near pointless. Because a lot of their strengths come from what they are. So no problems and contiune on. :)
Cassian Vespertine |
Cool beans! I'm super excited but I should probably be terrified.

Currently flying home, hopefully going to get myself a little reorganized. My whole left shin is a single bruise at the moment and hurts like hell when I walk. No fun. May be a couple of days as we are trying to sell our house and trying to get a new one built.
Custom-1 The house we are trying to get numbers on and built...
I am hoping it won't kill our budget but as I told the wife this will be the one and done home. From here I am going to work on getting apartment buildings and start going the residential route. I am hoping it isn't higher than 300k but we will see...
This company also builds four (single) plexes. Quite literally four houses on a semi small plot that are capable of being rented out as four separate apartments. It costs are 500K but if you look at renting them for 1k-1.3k each you easily make money off of the huge investment. But this will be a few years from now.
I also am trying to get into a production gig, where I will be on the ground floor when it kicks off. Which will be awesome. Don't know what the pay is but a lot of things are going on right now. Too many to describe.

So I finished all my gestalt for Leon...then found out that RGG is finally about to release the Shadow Warrior...so I may re gestalt into that in a week or two or how ever long it takes.
Leon Cross |
I'm thinking katana and unarmed strikes as off hand. Fight like Kadaj from FF7 Advent Children. Sword held reversed and interspace with kicks and strikes. Going so far as using a double bladed sword like his. And yes I just finished rewatching that movie.
Any opinions?

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
apologies for the silence, waiting for you too finish Gestalting and one some players to post in the Wrath of the Righteous game.
My wife did her first baking gig for a wedding today and so far it went extremely well. First time doing a wedding and she had to make 388 cupcakes and a 4 piece Cheesecake-style wedding cake. lol. THat was a lot of stuff to transport...

Gestalt is powerful but more on the side of I have more abilities. Rawr.
However initially the hp boost isnt significant enough to make you super tough. A couple lucky hits and you drop just as easily as before.
But I see Gestalt as a way to build the character you envision.
A miguivere like investigator, who is also a cracks shot with a pistol?
GUNSLINGER/ROGUE
A powerful mystic warrior who's divine connection gives him then might to crushbevil?
Paladin/Magus.
The tribal fighter who uses their hard learned survival skills coupled with the unbridled Rage of natures fury?
Miri. ... ;)
Yo u guys get the point. So far that's how I see Gestalt. Powerful but more one way then another. Just gives you more options and fun times to be had!
Leon Cross |
I just really want to get the drop on some poor sap and garrote their ass...granted you apparently have to hold the grapple for like 5 years because of how odd the suffocation rules are. But still it'll be cool as hell :)
Cassian Vespertine |
Alright. Think I'm mostly done with rehashing my character sheet. Just have to choose a new Distinction for level 4 as I won't be using armor anymore.
DM - Anything special you want us to do with our equipment? I have enchanted armor and a cloak of resistance from the original character drafts that have been replaced by distinctions. Do we get a rebate or should we hold onto them until we find a shopkeeper? No biggie, either way. Just curious.
Hats off to your wife, Cori! I'm happy to hear that you didn't flip the car while delivering all those tasty treats ;-)
All
Feel free to give me a peer review on my character sheet. Gestalt takes a lot of bookkeeping so I'm sure I missed something along the way. Thanks!

Same here anyone want to look it over and any questions about the shadow warrior abilities I'll gladly explain...now that I think about it I should probably seperate those out better....
