Freyja* |

Freyja studies the three items from the captain's quarters, casting Detect Magic, and then using her knowledge of spellcraft.
Spellcraft katana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Spellcraft Arrow Gauntlet: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Spellcraft blue bow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

Eleanis Riasky |

Eleanis removes the headband and places it back on Siri's brow.
What she wears and her weapons should stay with her. she says firmly. But then in a conciliatory tone Her items I think can be removed from her person.
Then as Teleron seems to be more knowledgeable on how to depose of kobold and sylph remains, assists him in making funeral arragnements.
With very little land about I would guess that people would do more 'sky burials' or cremaations?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_burial
Larger farming islands would probably still do burials to keep the soil nourished. Just throwing out world building ideas here

Tessara - Conjurer |

"Very well, Eleanis. We should keep her items locked up, just in case we can get around to finding her family. I think she'd prefer the freedom of not having clothes, don't you?" She walks over to Freyja, "If you're having any trouble identifying anything, let me take a look. I can assure you I'm the most skilled person here for the job."
Waiting for Freyja to respond, she casts Minor Image, making a pirate hat, or whatever hat the kobold captain had, appear within Hal's view.

Masha. |

If no one else cares, may I look at the katana?
It seems we will have to duel for it
Off: Can I recommend Mikal to use [b] [/_b] for what he say, normal text for what he does, and [i][/i_] for what he thinks?, it is like the standard

Hal the Sky Stalker |

Hal suddenly turns, spotting a hint of black felt, and smiles widely as he pulls a tricorn hat from an alcove. He places it carefully upon his head, adjusting it carefully for an excessive amount of time.

Freyja* |

I welcome you assistance sister. I can assure you that we are better together than either of us are alone.

Tessara - Conjurer |

"Okay, let me see that."
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Now that I am focused on this, Hal has 12 or so seconds before he loses his hat.

Freyja* |

I have to note that on the second item Freyja beat you by 7, proving her point that we are stronger together. :P We might could even assist each other, Not sure about assisting spellcraft.

Masha. |

So 36, 29, and 29? I guess we are better together. Although, I think that if I took 20 (which I think I can), then it'd be 36 all around :)
You can't take 20
"When using detect magic or identify to learn the properties of magic items, you can only attempt to ascertain the properties of an individual item once per day. Additional attempts reveal the same results.

Mikal Dusk |

For those that actually care, since masha brought it up, I use the bold and italics for my actions and discriptions, I use the small italics for my speech because Mikal is soft spoken. And all thought and ooc or comments to the group or DM are not modified in any way.

Masha. |

As a player I have no problem with Mikal taking the katana, Masha would fight for it however, and I think it could be fun. If you agree of course, if not, then the Katana is yours

** spoiler omitted **
That goes a little against convention. Italics are used for thought and not spoken word on the boards. Bolded text is appropriate for speech. Use small bolded when you are speaking softly if you wish to follow conversion.

Arioch the swift |

Arioch came stand near Eleanis and looked at Siri.
He spoke in a low voice.
"It saddens me. She was so happy to go on this adventure."
He grasped the small symbol around his neck and continued.
"May Gozreh guide her up into the wind and sky."

Hal the Sky Stalker |

Hal attempts to calm down Freyja and Tessara in order to avoid an argument. Ladies, you can both cast detect magic as many times as you want, it's no waste of resources if you both wish to identify items.
As he says this, his hat disappears. He bats his hands around above his head in confusion, Hey, where'd it go? Who took my hat? This isn't funny!

Freyja* |

"I'm just saying we should prioritize. You're more suited for battle and buffing our allies, and I'm a bookworm, conjurer, illusionist, and utility wizard."
So, if you step up to identify items I will not have to. Freyja summarizes. But if I wish to keep my skills sharp, I am sure you would be pleased to give me pointers in Spellcraft, right? Turning to Shien she says quite coldly We do not operate that way crewman. Grabbing something while its being evaluated is both rude and dangerous. Loot shall be divided fairly and not by who can grab things first. Kindly return the glove.
To be fair, the items should be identified by now.

Mikal Dusk |

Mikal holds the sword and feels a faint pull from his chest, through his arm, and out his palm. A worried look shines from his eyes. He doesn't feel any pain from it. He only feels the strange sensation of something being sucked from his body.
What is this that I'm feeling? Frejya, can you tell what is happening from your detect magic? Any idea what might be causing this feeling?

Arioch the swift |

First bit of loot and they're already bickering ... We're off to a good start ...
Arioch looked at everyone gathered around the shiny new items.

Tessara - Conjurer |

"Okay, it's like 2 AM or something, and I am sooooo not arguing over how much more skilled I am than you at 2 AM. And Hal, don't be so condescending." Tessara looks over at Mikal, "That thing is brimming with necromancy. I wouldn't touch it if I were you."

Eleanis Riasky |

There are many things on this ship that feel... evil. I would say that we burn it all. Take some token to prove that we destroyed it in case there is some bounty. I am sure there would be for such an evil crew who has done such evil things

Tessara - Conjurer |

Tessara motions to the pile of decapitated heads, "If you need a token... But for real, we keep all of it, Eleanis. If it's evil, we sell it. We're pirates, remember?" She grins with genuine joy at being a pirate.

Arioch the swift |

"Figurehead would most likely be the easiest way to identify the ship. That and a name plaque if it has any."

Eleanis Riasky |

Eleanis nods at Tessara, a bit discomforted that evil things weren't being destroyed. But she did sign up to be on a pirate ship. Eliminating the evil crew and their hostile acts was a wonderfully good act in and of itself.

Hal the Sky Stalker |

Hal frowns I had no intention of being condescending, I was merely attempting to avoid an argument, I apologize if my words were misinterpreted. I'm inclined to agree with you on the topic of selling things, as that is what pirates do, but we should bear in mind that items that are obviously evil will probably not sell all that well in town, and will give us a bad reputation.

Mikal Dusk |

Mikal nods in Frejya's direction. A silent thank you for letting him know what he was dealing with holding this dark katana in his hand. He removes one of his katana from it's home on his back over his right shoulder and replaces it with the dark one. He slides his old katana through his belt above his wakizashi. He looks around the deck and finds what he is searching for, a large hat once worn by an evil Kobold pirate. He walks over and picks it up, dusting it off. He walk over to Hal and hands the hat off. His eyes light up for a brief moment and a smile can be detected from behind his mask.
Here, try on the real thing.

Hal the Sky Stalker |

Hal takes the hat, staring suspiciously at it. He waves it vigorously in the air, waiting for it to disappear before, finally convinced that he's found the real thing, he places it carefully upon his head. When it doesn't vanish, he tilts it to a slightly absurd angle, nods in satisfaction, and claps Mikal on the shoulder, You have my thanks!
