Kishara waves her hand in mock salute and moves carefully into the hall to check the door to the room adjacent to this one.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Trapped? Locked?

![]() |

Kish makes it across the hall. The first thing she notes is that a number of arrows are sticking out of things and a few loose on the floor.
Obviously they have been fired down the hall, but no enemy are evident.
The opposing door gives little away, it appears to be locked but not trapped. Kish realises there is no cover where she is, and thus will be exposed if any enemy pass by...

![]() |

Kishara's senses her luck is running out in the hall and zips back to the first room.
"I think trying to head down the hall will leave us open to ranged attack. Let's gather what we can here and then head back to the yard. If that door is locked, I'll be better able to work on it." She then turns her attention to the goblin bodies and searches them for potions they might use, or possibly more keys.

![]() |

I missed the part about iron bars across the hallway...that does kind of make it difficult to charge down the hall to take out any archers.
Grim notes the arrows at the end of the hall and the iron portcullises that would prevent him from reaching the likely location of the snipers. He quickly re-evaluates his plan and nods at Kishara's proposal to enter through the courtyard and perhaps avoid becoming targets.

![]() |

Would we have a chance of lifting these, if two or more people lifted? maybe we can rig a rope or something before the lift to stop it from coming down again, or at least allow for many more of us to help. Kaneko flexes a small but very firm bicep.

![]() |

Kishara readies to cross the hall back to the courtyard. "I could provide cover fire with the bow, or pop off another of these?" She twiddles another smokestick between her fingers, and looks at the others questioningly.
Held Attack w/ Shortbow?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Kishara opts to slink instead of dash in the hopes of not alerting the goblins to the parade of targets about to come rushing down the hall. Once she makes it to the courtyard, she holds the door open to provide some cover for the next person coming behind her and then observes the door they plan to enter next
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

I'm guessing the scorpion didn't have any treasure, but did we forget any goodies in this area?

![]() |

Kish - Didn't get the general order to search the area in any great detail earlier no, but there is a fair amount of refuse and rubbish about.
5d20 ⇒ (2, 2, 12, 19, 19) = 54
Kish breaches the door and slides in first.
This large room was recently cleaned—piles of trash are swept into the corners, the six tables and dozen benches here are spotless, and the majority of the spider webs and vermin nests were cleaned from the corners. A set of sturdy double doors sit in the south wall, another is set in the west wall, and a single door in the northwest corner leads north into what is likely to be a small kitchen.
Kisharas eyes adjust quickly, and she notices two shapes laying in wait, and they have noticed Kishara!

Kishara calls out to those behind her, "Two of them, flanking the door!" and then moves out of the doorway to make way for her comrades and closes on the female. Not wanting to be caught between them, she vaults over the dining table and lands to her side, though without her usual cat-like grace.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Move to G,8, hoping for AOO's if she casts. Now watch the roguish dude be the caster, lol!

Claws spring from the womans fingertips as she slashes for Kishara, 1d20 ⇒ 8, but Kishara is much slipperier than the woman believed.
Charging from the corner the shady man rushes with a bloodcurdling cry and slashes...

Kishara stabs with her Rapier at the woman.

I thought charging was a full round action? And we were in surprise?
You can charge as a standard action when limited to taking only a standard action, such as in a surprise round, but you can only move up to your speed (instead of twice) - link - but what I learnt (the hard way) about two days ago is you can't draw during it

Assuming Mandrak moves to F6, Grim will move to G6 and attack the guy on F7. If he is already dead because of Mandrak's awesome attack (which I guess Shifty is rolling for you...) then Grim will occupy F7 and attack the other baddie =)
Just like in training, the party quickly enters the room, one right after the other, assessing the threat and moving to eliminate it. Grimaldus moves to the sound of melee and swings his greatsword at the enemy!

Kishara eyes bulge with shock and pain as the woman shreds her with vicious claws she had not expected her to have. Knowing she could not survive a second onslaught, she tumbles backward, planting her hand behind her and performing a graceful one handed cartwheel away from her reach and weaves around the tables, drawing a potion of Cure Light Wounds from her vest and drinks it.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 Potion of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

I really need to let Grimmy go first sometime, huh? >_<

Grimaldus snarls his battle-oath and strikes at the bandit again.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Hopefully everyone else kills him...my rolls are $#!*!
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 3) + 9 = 13
He then moves to I7 to block the enemy from following Kishara.

![]() |

Wow. Mate you've had some unlucky rolls :( On a side note, how did you want to move away from combat without provoking an AOO? You are going to have to move action out - or you could chance the shots I suppose :p I suspect Lucky Dragon is about to run into that spot and gap fill anyhow... so you might wish to hang in place.

![]() |

Grim is counting on the others kill the one bandit before he moves...but willing to take an AoO if necessary. His acrobatics skill takes a big hit because of the armor, and with my rolls it's not even worth it. =/ Of course, if someone before me moves there, he'll stay and slug it out.

Yhen moves inside (I-7), as a swift actio, Yhen will pull out her wand of ill-omen and uses it on the other enemy (the one that is not cursed with Evil Eye).
Is there anyone else that needs healing? If yes then Yhen can just pull out her CLW wand instead of doing the ill omen.

Kishara shimmies away.
