So the screen on my laptop is mostly a black void and sometimes taunts me by working at random intervals. I am back but there is no guarantee it will last so if I do not post feel free to bot me as needed. Hopefully I will get it fixed over the weekend.

I will be leaving on a family vacation tomorrow to Lake Geneva, WI, the birthplace of D&D! While I will have internet access for the five days of the trip, posting will most likely be phone-based and therefore sporadic and laconic.

This is where Book 1 ends, and given my decreasing ability to post reliably, this is also where I'm closing this game. Thanks for sticking it out with me this far, and apologies I seemed to run out of steam near the end there.
I'll be writing an epilogue post, so if there's anything you want for your characters, post her eto let me know.
Do we want to perhaps see if we can find a new GM to take up after you?

Thanks for bringing us to the end of Book 1, DM Default. If there is an appetite for the party to continue, I'd be glad to try and do so.
We are waiting to see if Cherry is interested. Syeira hasn't posted since October.
Apparently there is some nasty weather coming and my state tends to shut down when that happens. If I do not post at some point in the next few days it means I probably lost power.
I don't mind if you all would like to stay together and find another GM. Not sure how the transfer process would work, or if you'd just start a new campaign thread, but I'd be glad to see folks who enjoy playing together continue to do so. And thank you for your understanding.
I believe there's a process that can transfer ownership of the campaign to a new GM. I think we could just make a post in this campaign's recruitment thread, if that's OK.

You can contact Paizo support and ask to take over a campaign from a prior GM - I've done this in the past.

We could always retcon her as taking over the Goblin and "retiring" since our adventures are gonna take us out of Riddleport, possibly never to return.

Hey folks -
If Syeira doesn't return, I'd like to offer Meghan's services if you're interested. She's a bard (street entertainer) who retrained a bit and became a fledgling priestess of Calistria when Saul Vancaskerkin betrayed her trust in DM Default's other Second Darkness game. She's more of a support character (with her healing and inspire courage) than a blaster and isn't the strongest combatant, though she tries to chip in.
Our game ended pretty much as yours did: A raid on the Gold Goblin but no sign of Saul.
