Blink Vala |

Blink shrugged. "A drop of some toxins can kill dozens. The question is more do we have any, or could we make them, and I suspect the answer to that is no. But we might be able to brew something to dim there wits and make them less dangerous?" She looked at the Elf again.

Samnell |

Yridhrennor thinks a wit-dimming poison would be possible, given enough time, but it wouldn't take a lot of brains to run away from the tower and let the chain do its work and such massive beasts would be hard to drug all the same. Given a day or two he could cook something, but he can't promise it would do the job.

Blink Vala |

"Probably not worth it then," Blink shook her head. "I'm out of ideas. I fear this is an 'attack the creatures keepers and hope' situation." The Gods rarely helped out in such, sadly.

Samnell |

Ok then. I've put a map up with all the dispositions you know about. The interiors of the towers aren't visible from outside and the crusaders have reason to believe the officer in charge is inside one of them. If you like, we can just run on in and get cracking but you also have the option for stealth and so forth. Let me know how you'd like to approach.

Theran, Clan Silverlight |

Theran cocks his head. "They are tight in there. I could use a fireball before I get into a battle-frenzy."

Steave Rojerz |

"You can do that? Of course, a fireball would be a great start." Steave replies.

Galin Solatar |

If we have the ability to choose when we attract their attention, Galin would cast Bless on the party then one of his Good blessings and Divine Favor on himself, in that order.

Samnell |

If we have the ability to choose when we attract their attention, Galin would cast Bless on the party then one of his Good blessings and Divine Favor on himself, in that order.
You have some ability to do so, depending on what precautions you take. Simple stealth checks would be a heavy lift for the more clanky among you, but Yridhrennor knows invisibility and can give it to three of you to help with getting into position. Blink probably doesn't need it, so that would be everyone but him covered...and Y probably shouldn't close to begin with. :) Basically I'll let you pre-buff but then there will be rolls to see how close you can approach before the fun begins. Assuming nothing goes badly wrong, you'll have a surprise round.

Galin Solatar |

Sounds good. Galin won't be approaching beyond 30 feet away since he has no need to, so I'll be kind of a buffer between any of the nasties and Y.

Samnell |

Sounds good. Galin won't be approaching beyond 30 feet away since he has no need to, so I'll be kind of a buffer between any of the nasties and Y.
Ok then. The plan looks like:
1) Blink stealths ahead and sets up to murderdeathkill one of the beasts. Does she have a preference as to which one?
2) Y does invisibility on everyone except himself, since he'll be staying back.
3) Galin gets no closer than 30 feet of the fun. He loads the party with bless, uses a Good blessing, and divine favors himself.
5) Y pulls a haste out of his mythic (will not include Blink because of the distance) and Theran throws a fireball into the fun. Steave charges. Blink murderdeathkills. The games begin.
That all about right?

Blink Vala |

I'll MDK the one furthest away. I'll summon up an Elemental while being stealthy so I can Sneak Attack. And hopefully not die.

Theran, Clan Silverlight |

I'll MDK the one furthest away. I'll summon up an Elemental while being stealthy so I can Sneak Attack. And hopefully not die.
Good idea. Even with evasion the stealth-fireball combo sometimes goes badly.

Blink Vala |

Whoops, I failed to specify. Yes, an Air Elemental. Blink gets a bunch of bonuses for doing so.

Steave Rojerz |

Please give us a number of rounds to prepare.
Thanks

Samnell |

Pre-Surprise
Ok. You can theoretically take an infinite number of 'em, but the first big exposure risk would be Blink and her elemental sneaking by. Let's call it 5 rounds. Yridhrennor uses the time to give everyone except Blink (no need) and himself (staying back) invisibility.
The Party is up... for five rounds of buffing while Blink moves. :) Cast 'em if you've got 'em.

Theran, Clan Silverlight |

Theran will throw Shield of Faith and Resist Energy on Blink before she moves out. +3 deflection, resist 10 fire
He'll also do those on himself, Ironskin (+4 natural), and at the last round Divine Favor (+2 luck att/dmg)

Steave Rojerz |

The crusaders set to preparing themselves. One by one, Yridhrennor cast each save Blink into invisibility. She took two spells from Theran and slipped off, darting silently across the bridge to a safe spot where she summoned an air elemental. Steave invoked the Heavens. Galin called on his blessings. Yridhrennor cast a final spell and the crusaders blurred with speed as Blink and her elemental skulked into position...and then the moment came with the whole of the bridge unawares.

Realized as I started this that I already acted for Y, before he was back. Sorry. Yridhrennor's earth elementals pressed the attack, one battering a beast while the other flailed against its hide.

Steave draws his cold iron longsword and steps between the monsters. He slashes one deep, but his backslash glances off the other's hide. Even with just the one strike, he nearly dispatched the roaring beast.
The last tiefling stepped up to Theran and slashed at him, barely scratching his skin. The last beast roared in pain and bolted right into Blink's waiting blade. It died there before pulling its chain tight.
An abyss-touched man flew from inside one of the bridge's towers, glowing with magic and orbited by a floating disk. He spoke the words of a spell and for an instant the spell-speed Yridhrennor granted the party lessened, before reasserting itself. Yridhrennor blew sand at the flying man. His magic carried it straight to the other arcanist's eyes, but the elf felt his spell slide easily off its target.
Galin shuffles forward as he aims his next arrows at the flying man. The last beast was dead already. Forgot to mark it as such on the map. His first arrow fell short, but the other two struck squarely. Magic flashed about where they hit, blunting the hits but visibly spending part of itself in the process.
Bliss looked at the flying man, and his ability to cast two spells, as a major danger. She decided to join Theran in magically hammering the flying creature.
Steave saw a man in the air and knew just what to do. He rushed forward and hurled his shield with all his might. Like Galin's arrows, it struck the warding and spent some of its force before piercing abyss-touched flesh.
The flying man hurled twin gouts of flame that badly burned Blink, then wheeled on Theran and made a rending motion with his hands as he chanted. The bridge beneath the last of Clan Silverlight gave way, plunging him into a deep pit lined with rough rock. At the bottom, he splashed into a pool of searing acid.
