The elevator continues it's noisy decent. Looking down you can see the floor beneath at about 20' away.
The Guardian slowly responds "There are many dangers below including various manner of beast and monsters to test your mettle. Your greatest enemy may be the other parties for as you should know there are four groups of you and only three exits."

Kahva taps his fingers on his knee for a moment before chuckling to himself and bowing to the guardian,

"There once was a man dressed in egg yolk,
quite difficult, it seemed, to provoke,
when we poked and we prodded,
he just glared and he nodded,
and missed out that he was the joke."

He looks around at the others, expecting a laugh, but not really surprised to see them all shaking their head at his stupid rhyme.

Kahva retrieves his wand and looks at the other, "who needs some topping off?" He bops Ohfok on the nose, "boop."

"Huh? you think so Kahva? I guess we still have a question remaining. Might as well use it. Hey Overseer! What does the chime signify?"
Ohfok sighs a sigh of relief as he feels the healing energy from Kahva's wand.
"Ahh that feels much better. Guess we better prepare more for whats ahead."

Troq still couldn't shake the uneasy feeling he had in the elevator shaft, but the healing power of the wand helped a bit. "Thanks for that."

He draws his weapon to prepare for whatever lied ahead.

The cage continues it's decent, almost to the bottom.

Acknowledging the question the Guardian responds "The chime signifies someone has activated a platform within the trials."

Getting impatient, Katarina draws her weapons and jumps off the cage.

"Ouch"


Jumping down Katarina lands poorly bouncing on her rear. Surprisingly it bounces her back upright as she lands in the dark room slightly illuminated by the torch from above.
Only fall prone on lethal damage. Katarina still has some movement as well as a move/standard action


As Katarina jumps down the Guardian also drops the remaining 10' and moves to a corner of the large rectangular room.
Two metallic doors lead from the room on opposite sides, each with a metal plaque above it with words etched in an ancient tongue. Beside each door is a circular pillar with a light blue glow emanating from it, what the overseer called an activation stone.

Four wooden doors line the back wall of the room, one with a triangle carved into it, another a diamond, the third is blank and the fourth has hastily scrawled Thassilonian that reads DO NOT OPEN!.

A five foot circular golden platform shimmers from the light of two lit braziers which flank it. A brass etched plate is located on the wall behind the platform and another three foot high circular stone pillar emitting a soft blue light sits in front of the circular platform, similar to the one that you used in the courtyard above. You can help decipher the purpose of the golden platform with a Spellcraft, UMD or K:Arcana check. Each successful check from the three types will grant a specific piece of information, with up to three pieces of information being provided when all three categories have been met successfully.

The overseer drops from above, landing in a crouch near the elevator. Standing, it moves over and stands in the corner and continues to observe you.

Kahva follows the guardian to the ground, landing lightly beside it. He looks around at the doors, reading the metal plates quickly. "Looks like we have some options. Door #1 is the easy path and door #2 is more challenging. Higher risk has a higher reward, of course." he eyes the wooden doors but the golden platform draws his attention away. He approaches it and peers closely at the blue light, "wonder what this one does, the plaque says 'Recovery'."

Kahva examines the platform and is able to recall some knowledge of the devices. Tinkering with it slightly he figures out another method of activating the device. There seems to be a 3rd use of the device but he's unable to determine with it is without activating and using it.

Mechanics:
A character may use the adjacent activation stone while standing on the restoration platform to choose one of many possible restoration effects which are applied immediately. Using the activation stone consume a move action.

K:Arcana: Restore 1 exhausted Class/Special ability OR remove 1 negative affliction (Poison/Disease).
UMD: Restore HP: (Either 2d8 to a single person or +1d6 channel to all in room) OR remove 2 points of ability damage.

Kahva steps back in wonder, "fascinating. I hope we won't need this device but it will do exactly what it says ... recover." The implications make him smile and he turns to Ohfok, laughing loudly, "Ohfok! Next time you get frisky with a donkey and catch the Pulsing Puffs or Red Drip, this thing can help!!!" He doubles over in laughter, reaching out a hand to point at Ohfok as he looks to the guardian, "did you hear that Mellow Yellow? I said he sleeps with donkeys!"

"Oh F@ck! What did you say?!?!?" Impatient OhFok leaps down safely to join his allies on the ground. Speaking to Kahva, "That cage was taking forever! It moves slower than your libido on ladies night!"

Taking a further look around the room. "you said we had 2 options, but I see 6 doors. Just like Troq cant keep a proper tempo, you apparently can't coun't."

"Har har, and what's that supposed to - " Troq gets caught on the bars of the cage and falls with a thud. "Oof, OK I get it now." He bends down and picks up the weapon he dropped on his way down.

The rest of the group drops down and examines the door labeled 'DO NOT OPEN'. The closed wooden door appears to be unlocked.

Kahva hops from foot to foot and he looks at the doors, "What's behind the Do Not Open door Lemonade? And what about the others?" His feet pick up the pace until he's doing a quick jig. The palms of his hands tap his knees as he moves around the room until he stomps on the floor and slaps the challenging door activation stone, bellowing, "LET's DO THIS!!"

Inspire Courage: +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

Kahva looks over at the guardian, "Hear any more chimes Mellow Yellow?" He glares at the others as his feet come to a rest, hands outstretched and fingers wiggling, "jazz hands! That was the sign for all of you to get your butts over here and put your hand on the stone!" He continues muttering under his breath.

"Yar friend! We are wasting too much time here. Lets f@cking go maaaan." Ohfok grabs Troq by the arm and leads him to the circular pillar next to the door marked "Difficult". He then force places Trow's hand on the pillar, followed by his own.

"Let F@cking go Kahva, and bring your wench with you!"

"I don't belong to anyone. Do well to remember that" Shooting daggers at Ohfok. Katarina walks over and put's her hands on the pillar.

Kahva laughs as he swishes his rapier up through the air, posing with a flourish as his (other) hand comes down on the stone again. "You're coming with us, right Bananaman? Do you have any questions for our little band? We have stories! Like the time Troq tried to wrestle a stuffed boar's head!" He points at Troq with his rapier, "AND LOST!! hahahahahahaha Good times!"


As the three members touch to platform it glows briefly and the door slides open awaiting the group to go through.

The overseer stirs into motion.
"I am not following you, but I am observing you. You should know that the key that admitted you to this trial serves an additional purpose. While in the Gauntlet, it will automatically identify up to ten items of your choice. When you physically touch the item in question to the key you will know instantly comprehend the details of the item."

It turns to look over each of you in the room as it begins to speak in a deep measured tone, "I will rejoin you later."

One of you has an amulet that will allow you to identify items by touching it to the item

Kahva watches Ohfok fumbling with the torch and casts Dancing Lights. 4 wisps shoot out of his hand and spin furiously around Katarina's head before settling a few feet away from her. "They dance like Shelly when he sat on that Army Ant swarm!"

The lights appear out of thin air surrounding the human.

Kahva moves in, holding his rapier before him.


Scarlet columns line every wall around this room. Three quarters of the way towards the exit lays the activation stone with a light blue glow emanating from its base. Behind the stone stands a huge intricately carved stone dragon that stands blocking the door to the south. A large scorch mark is centered on the floor of the room in front of the statue. Several bookcases sit empty to the north and numerous scarlet-topped pillars line the walls of the room. A small circular table is located behind the dragon’s wing, a diamond shaped brass key resting on top of it.

“Greetings, travelers. I am the guardian here, tasked with judging those who would travel down the Challenging Path. Those who do not impress me should not press forward. Doing so will earn them their doom.”

OhFok steps into the room, just shy of the scorch marks on the floor.
"Wut?? Hrm large scorch marks on the floor in front of this giant dragon statue? Thats probably just coincidence right?" Ohfok's sarcasm is not difficult to detect in the slightest as he points to the dragon statue.

"Now what exactly is it you are looking for? We did not bring our gig gear."


"You must think of something to impress me. I will not move until I feel impressed" The stone dragon fully blocks the path forward.

Ohfok's eye go wide with excitement. "F%%& yeah! Lets do it boyz!!!!" .... "Oh, and lady"

Ohfok reaches into his pack and pulls out the next best thing he can to his normal tom tom, a cooking pot. "Troq, quick, grab my silk rope. I know with your skills you can make impressive sounds with even just one silk rope. "

Kahva bows deeply before the dragon, "We hope you find our performance impressive. May I ask your name?" He begins to cast Prestidigitation and a crude replica of the room begins to take form in his hands. On one side is what appears to be a dragon, but it's hard to tell yet. And in the other hand, the four dancing lights settle in a line.

Prestidigitation:
If it's ok, planning to cast it this round and use as prop next round. If I need to cast twice to get that many characters, I'll only create the dragon and not us. Using the dancing lights intead.

The group moves in getting various things out to impress the dragon. His stony glare at the party does not seem impressed so far as he waits.

Kahva uses a foot to sweep aside some dust on the floor and sets the dragon statue down before he begins to dance. It involves lots of stomping and intermittently thrusting his hands up in the air and down at the statue while he chants,
