I wont be firing at it unless I see the amulet dangling from it's maw.

I'll post tonight but definitely letting it go.

Not an AOO in the mechanical sense since she’s at range but Kesni’s action will go off on her turn if she can still reach the bear after it flees.

You mean I can NOT fight it and let it run away? I'm a WHOLE LOT less likely to die that way . . ..

So I wanted to apologize for my lack of activity. I've been working lots of 12 hour days and I haven't had a day off in two weeks. I think I'll be able to get things settled down soon, but for now, please bot me as needed.

I will try to post as I can.

Aok! We shall.

Unless there's anything else you'd like to do in the clearing, I gather from what you're saying, the Party is heading back to town?

Here and happy. Rast would not be the one to try and make a deal on the bear though.

Something similar here, happy to keep going.

Excellent, I'm glad to hear that. Check Azorius and Rast. Just making sure Kesni, Gudada and Rogar are still in.

I know the story has been a little slower, I can pace it up a bit if you'd guys would like. Other than my average of 1 post monday - friday.

Here and fine. Just don't see a reason to negotiate the bear's harvesting. Not something we were looking to have or particularly wanted.

Want to check in make sure Kesni and Rogar are still on board.

So I've sent PM's to both Kesni and Rogar. No response. How long would you like to wait?

How are you three feeling? We would need to refill to continue. 4-player is how I was hoping to run everything. I could look to fill 3 spots and we get back up to 6?

I certainly hope it wasn't the pacing, I'm certainly open to feedback as to how you're feeling, what you're thinking and such.

Personally I am a fan of four if the group is balanced for an IRL game. For online, as long as everyone is committed, its great though I seem to end up with five just to make sure things keep moving.

For pacing, I think it is important that everyone really try to post once a day. The only exception being if we are waiting for initiative order in combat. To help with this I will tweak Rast's personality a bit to be more assertive.

Human HP: 35/35 AC: 22, FF21, Touch 11. Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +7. Initiative +1. CMD 17, CMB +6. Bleeding Touch 7/7 Day Rebuke Death 7/7 Day Channel Positive Energy 3/5

The pacing could go a bit faster. After a certain point you just need to bot a player if in combat or if out of it just move on. I know it feels a bit rough botting someone but if a new round was started two weekdays ago its just holding up the game waiting for them... but I am more disposed towards a fast pace.

I appreciate the feedback, and as a first time PbP GM, i'll do what I can to pick up the pace so we can move along a faster and get things going. After Gudada weighs in, I'm leaning towards opening recruitment and taking on an additional 2-3.

One bit of advice when I started GMing PbP just over a year ago was that the GM in PbP needs to drive the pace. Generally, and this was from a seasoned GM, the players would respond to the pace set by the GM.

I think bring in a few more makes sense.

Mostly what they said, but every now and again real life interferes without warning. Like when I bought avocados that were too green to use on Monday, so I ended up having to shop after work on Tuesday, make the guacamole and deviled eggs for me to take to work for the office picnic on Wednesday and go to the Boy Scout Troop meeting. I was up past midnight, and never touched my computer. My alarm goes off at 5 AM.

Then, after the picnic on Wednesday, when I got home, I collapsed on the bed and woke up when my alarm went off this morning.

Hopefully that kind of thing isn't common, but it happens.

Pace is important, and waiting on somebody doing that sort of thing breaks the pace.

I'm not sure whether we should aim at 5 or 6 with a character reload, but we need at least 5.

Somehow it always comes down to avocados. Not just this, I mean everything in life.

All feedback is appreciated.

I'm going to look to re-recruit shortly and open it back up. I'm just a little bogged under a few things that happened unexpectedly this weekend.

I'll be able to post within the next day or two.

Hey guys,

I know I've been MIA for 10 days, things have just been ridiculous. My father had a heart attack last weekend, and I've been handling everything needed for him.

In short he's just gotten out of the hospital this past weekend, and things are starting to get back to normal.

I need a few days to finalize sorting everything out. Between work, sleep and hospital it's been a hectic little while.

Wanted to touch base. I've not disappeared entirely.

That is way more important. These games take a long time so no worries but thank you for the update.

Hello.

Common message for all the games I was participating in:

I know I vanished without warning. Trust me, it wasn't planned. My wife had a new medical condition flare up, and I've been going to work, doing my job, coming home, doing bothe her chores and mine, taking care of her because she's had extermely limited mobility, taking care of her service animal, covering chunks of time that she had pledged towards watching our grand-daughter, and then still trying to keep up with my existing Scouting obligations.

I was suddenly very busy.

She's been better the last couple of days, so I've built the time to craft this message and distribute it. Today she started having a reaction to the medication that was helping her be better, so that bodes poorly. She also has a procedure tomorrow that is part fo the continuum of care for her problem (as required by insurance companies), but her doctor doesn't think is actually going to address her cause. He said tha's another 3 procedures down the list, but the insurance won't approve him skipping down the list or trying multiple things in quick succession.

I want to apologize to everyone for the impact my real-life has had on your entertainment. You at least deserved to hear from me sooner, honestly.

Now you know why I vanished. And why I don't know if my availability is actually going to get any better in the short term or not.

Dare I say it? In this case the timing may not have proven to be a problem, for bad reasons, I know. But this is one of the two or three games I've really been enjoying. I'm kinda nervous about pushing for others to see how my time goes, but it might work out better because of the other medical problems.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going though. You certainly do not need to apologize when something like that is going on in your real life.

All I can say is I hope you wife recovers well despite the insurance companies presenting the usual hoops and hardships. I think everyone can understand this sort of thing happens in these games and all I can offer is to keep you and your wife in my thoughts as you work though this stuff.

I just want to apologize to you as my players, for the game falling apart in May.

With some very hectic family things (due to illness and death) I had just let this go.

I'll be closing the campaign shortly.

Thank you for the time you did put into it.
