Miron Vladimirescu |
"That is a fair point, Milgen. Let us try the beach first before infiltration. The element of surprise could still be useful, whether or not we go in as a single group."
Miron puts down his spear flat on the ground out of sight, and loads his crossbow.
Azalia |
Azalia goes up to check for traps, just in case.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Ha ha. There clearly are none. :)
Milgen |
Milgen looks to the others. "Anyone good at opening doors? I don't have the right spell on me for that right now." Field spells in place, rather than town, since he was on patrol
Anneka Avertin |
At Sandpoint Savories
"Ameiko? In danger?" Anneka runs upstairs to grab her things and explain what happening to mama and Arika. Ignoring what must be their pleas for her to stay, she emerged out onto the street wielding her crossbow, spear, and an assortment of equipment purchased at Milgen's recommendation.
At the Glassworks
Anneka looks out over the ocean, its winds whipping fiercely through her hair. The normally blue waters of the Varisian Sea are gray today, their waves cresting high and falling hard upon the sands. This is a bad omen.
Anneka looks at the doors from a distance, completely oblivious as to how to spot a trap.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"What about the front door?" she asks/signs.
Drazh Anviltamer |
Drazh adjusted his Breastplate as the others talked. ”Are we sure that we want to do this? The town guard should be notified. Yes, she might be in danger. But there are laws for a reason. If this turns out to be nothing, we will be the ones who broke into a business.”
Miron Vladimirescu |
"Normally Drazh, I would agree completely. But the sheriff is elsewhere. I am willing to take the burden of any consequences upon myself, matched against what authority I have and the reasons we think Ameiko might be in danger."
Ferocia Navarro |
To Azalia, Ferocia mutters, "Not at this rate."
Tired of the others bickering, Ferocia stalks up to the front door and bangs loudly. "Open up!"
She listens for sounds from inside the building.
Is it regular business hours right now?
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Milgen |
Milgren sighs. "Why don't we have a six piece band simply follow along behind us, playing at the top of their lungs, it might be quieter."
Azalia has the skills, we just needed to be patient to let the player post, it's not as if a lot of time had actually passed in game, she just finished looking at the lock.
Kevin O'Rourke 440 |
Ferocia can hear high pitched giggles, shrieks, and breaking glass in the distance.
The building would be starting the working day a little while before you arrived.
John Peters, you know the farmer, calls out to Ferocia from a little further down the beech as your group attracts gawkers. "You can't be causing a racket, if you got a problem then get that deputy the sheriff left behind or go speak Lonjiku at his Manor just outside town."
Ferocia Navarro |
"I CAN be causing a racket. You ever hear of the glassworkers shrieking like fools, giggling like maniacs and breaking glass while they work?" With a raised eyebrow and a shake of her head she orders the man, "Go about your business and I'll go about mine."
She walks up to the door that should be open for workers and tries the handle. Is this the same door Azalia knows is locked?
Miron Vladimirescu |
Upon hearing Ferocia's words, Miron says:
"We need to get in straight away."
He looks for the nearest window large enough to allow entry, and with the barest hesitation, smashes it in with his crossbow.
Milgen |
"Well, let's go then." Melgin casts Mage Armor before looking through the now open window that Miron just broke. If there's nothing there, he climbs in. I"m assuming we're going in through a window near the back door, since only Fer ran around to the front
Kevin O'Rourke 440 |
For simplicity sake I assumed ye stayed back at the rear door as half the staff would enter that way anyway.
The sounds of breaking glass are much clearer once you get inside... thankfully it covers the window breaking nicely. The window leads into a long corridor. Behind you the gawkers give out about this heavy handedness not having heard what Ferocia did.
The corridor is long with many doors but one nearby is where the smashing sounds are coming from.
Milgen |
The one by Milgen or the one by Miron?
Anneka Avertin |
"I told mama and Arika," Anneka says/signs quietly from the back. "I didn't think to tell anyone else, I'm sorry. But I'm sure they're trying to find any guards remaining in town..."
Seeing that the others obviously hear something unusual, she follows along, gasping when Miron shatters the window. She can just imagine the scolding she'll receive when the bakery is asked to pay for the damage.
The gravity of the situation dawns on her. Ameiko could really be in danger.
She hurries to window, ready to help the others climb through, then will follow through herself. She stays to the rear, her crossbow at the ready.
Milgen |
Milgen watches the rear, his cross-bow ready and loaded, his eyes flicker from door to door, in case something uses the noise to ambush them from behind.
Drazh Anviltamer |
His hammer lifted, Drazh took point. He headed for the sounds. ”Ferocia. Come with me up front. It looks like we’ve got ranged covered. Ye watch my back, I’ll watch yours.”
Azalia |
Pick Lock: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
You guys can't even wait 3 seconds, can you?
Azalia opens the door.
Freaking idiots. Haven't ever broken into anything in their lives.
Milgen |
Milgen shrugs. "I preferred waiting, the dwarf was not inclined to do so."
Kevin O'Rourke 440 |
A furnace burns along the southeast wall of this room. Marble tables sit in the chamber, used to work raw glass into usable shapes, with nearby wooden tables cluttered with various tools of the trade. The building’s furnace rumbles loudly. The main furnace burns at the northeast end, a large chamber that utilizes alchemically treated wood that burns with a hot blue light.
As the furnace’s stone pipes run southwest, they reach smaller and progressively cooler furnaces used to keep glassworking projects at the proper temperature—glass shatters if it’s allowed to cool too quickly.
When your group arrives, this room is a gruesome display of goblin boredom. The bodies of the eight murdered staff lie in various stages of dismemberment; the goblins have been burning legs and arms in the furnace with glee, and pouring melted glass on the remains. Lord Lonjiku’s body is propped up in a chair in the central alcove and
encased in thick, runny sheets of hardened glass.
The ten goblins are quite distracted and don't notice you before it's too late. Tsuto smiles satisfied while looking down at his father's satisfied corpse.Everyone gets a surprise round on this horror.

Milgen fires his crossbow at the orange goblin, and then drops the bow and draws his new morningstar.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Miron Vladimirescu |
Miron sees the scene before him. The cackling, anarchic monsters - and the even worse figure of Tsuto.
There must be punishment for this crime.
He shoots at a goblin while shouting:
"TSUTO! SURRENDER!"
Shoots at light blue goblin, I believe Point Blank Shot is in play.
Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 1 = 18

Drazh Anviltamer |
Surprise round vs Orange flat footed: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
Its the only goblin Khaz can reach right now in the surprise round. As he beat Milgen in initiative, he’ll kill it first so the 5 damage can go into a different goblin
Round 1 vs Red, flat footed: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
Moving quickly, Drazh took a five foot step and caved the first goblin’s chest in. Moving quickly, against the next flat footed goblin, he drove his ancestral weapon right into it’s face. If it had been quicker to react, the blow likely would have went wide. As it was, nothing was left save for bits of bone, teeth, and brains.
It had been under ten seconds and already two goblins were dead. It was a good start.
Anneka Avertin |
There is something all too familiar about the scene for Anneka, for it bears a resemblance to things long past, dark deeds of shadowed hearts that should now be forgotten. Things that her wheel has spoken of, had she the courage to accept them.
But there is still time for courage, oh yes. She will be brave for Ameiko.
A cloud passes over the sun, casting its shadow upon the Glassworks and all those within it.
Casting bless.
Azalia |
Since you are using Google slides, you can actually add slides and keep all the maps for one game in once place if you want.
Azalia shoots at Yellow
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
She wasn't expecting quite as dramatic of a scene and fumbles her shot.
Ferocia Navarro |
Surprise Round:
Ferocia lets out a deep growl as thick, black fur sprouts from her arms, and her fingers transform into long bear claws. She steps forward and slashes at the yellow goblin with her claws, splattering goblin blood across the table.
"You'll pay for this!"
Swift action to sprout her claws. Free five foot step. Standard to attack the yellow goblin once.
Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Claw Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
"You'll ALL PAY!"

Just need a first round action from Azalia.
Azalia wasn't expecting quite as dramatic of a scene and fumbles her shot.
Moving quickly, Drazh moves forward and caves the first goblin’s chest in.

Missing again. Maybe her bow is bent?
Kevin O'Rourke 440 |
Azalia shoots at another goblin taking the hat off it's head.
Drazh moves forward and kills another goblin.
One of the goblins picks up a glassblowing tool with a glob of molten glass on the end and starts moving towards Drazh while snickering.
Another goblin moves forward and tries to grab Ferocia. It ducks under her claw attack and starts tugging on her belt cackling enthusiastically about the entire thing but not really inconveniencing her.

Ferocia Navarro |

Covered in the brain matter of the goblin Drazh just killed the other goblin smiles and makes placating gestures as it carefully backs off. Two more surviving goblins run out a door at the back of the room leaving the door open.
Tsuto looks annoyed at his goblin allies routing. Firing off a half hearted shot towards Miron he begins to move back in the direction of the same door the goblins are moving through.
