Tusara Khione
So she had 16 AC and 39 HP, hmmm that could have been nasty had she gotten Darkness off earlier.
Also I suddenly decided I don't want that outfit shes wearing. Its pretty hard to rock "clothing thats falling apart" as a fashion statement.
Rhea Stardust
Yes, I misplayed her. I should have cast that first and THEN the full round spell. You guys would have been crying:D It's okay though, there are plenty more evil creatures in Serpent Skull.
Rhea Stardust
Most definitely! It wears off in 3 minutes. But darkness within circle. MAP UPDATED.
Captain Albrecht
Curse you dead voman! Can anyone see?
Albrecht hops down and pokes at the corpse with his used to be glowing dagger to make sure she is dead. Then he spends a few moments ineffectively trying to relight the dagger.
After making his way back out of the darkness, She is definitely dead or uh more dead but she managed to waves generally at the wall of darkness before she fell.
Merelinda Falvian
"Yes, let us continue. If Ivar has managed to get control of himself, that is." Her brow arches, and the shadow of a smile plays across her lips. Is she teasing, or serious?
She looks to Bayani. "Once again, well done. Your skill with those weapons is quite remarkable."
To Albrecht, "And your panther is no less deadly, sir."
She looks at Tusara lastly, saying nothing, but her smile stretches further, full of promise and desire.
She waits until visible light to do these things, of course.
Merelinda Falvian
The priestess follows the curious sorceress as she reloads her crossbow. Elated at both their relative privacy and the quick and decisive recent victories, the woman stops before the sorceress, emerald green eyes wide with excitement. With a sly look around to ensure no one else is watching, she leans forward, ducking ever-so-slightly to be on level with the shorter woman, locking lips with her for a few moments, eyes remaining open, crinkling in both amusement and pleasure as she watches the sorceress' reaction.
After a few seconds, she parts with her, stepping in front of her down the new corridor. "For luck, of course." She grins back at the woman before focusing her attention down the narrow corridor.
Taking liberties...feel free to push away, smack, etc.
Bayani Nishou
"Come, Albrecht, Ivar, let us keep with the ladies. We will return here to search our defeated foe when her spell fades."
Bayani now has four chakrams, and two sharpened, assuming he picked up one he used to kill a festrog earlier. Two of them are in the bubble of darkness for now.
Tusara Khione
Tusara's eyes widen, caught by surprise and pulls back, attempting to make light of the situation "So...do I have to kiss Bartimaeus now?"
Worth noting actually that Merelinda has a better chance at converting Tusara to a Calistrian faith than actually seducing her I think. Tusara is still pretty shy.
Merelinda Falvian
She looks back over her shoulder, chuckling. "Hmmm...it's noteworthy that out of all our other comrades, the panther leapt first to your lips when mentioning a kissing candidate. It either speaks volumes about our companions, or to a very odd and possibly exciting fetish." Her eyes glint, her tone obviously teasing at the end.
Leaning in closer, conspiratorially, she continues. "I was high born...stuck with all the principles and rules that are associated with it. I would flinch at a passing touch, avert my gaze to displays of affection, stammer when talking to a man. Then I found Her, and am free of those restraints. Those shackles of the 'better life' are now broken, and I am free to explore the world, talk with whom interests me, take my carnal pleasures as I see fit, go delving into mysteries that would curl my parents' toes", she glances around at the cavern, smiling, "end up shipwrecked with an odd yet effective group of companions on a mystery isle. Let go, I say. Be who you want, not what you think is required or expected of you." She glances behind the sorceress at the approaching footfalls. "It seems our companions have sorted things out. Think on this, I ask."
With that, the priestess winks at the sorceress, allowing Ivar and Bayani to take the lead, scratching the panther behind the ears before getting her crossbow ready.
Bayani Nishou
She looks to Bayani. "Once again, well done. Your skill with those weapons is quite remarkable."
"Thank you, priestess. My father once told me that these chakram are the best missiles to use against the fleshy undead. They seem to have served us well so far."
Captain Albrecht
Albrecht follows Bayani, riding next to Ivar.
She fell to our combined assault. Zee sorceress blasted it with magic while our priestess shot it and Bayani here gestures pelted it with zose um... circles? I believe he dealt zee killing blow. I found none of my spells were of particular use he stops for a second and frowns in thought/concern so I charged in vith Bartimaeus he ruffles the panther's ears.
Sense motive to gauge how well I think Albrecht would understand Ivar's thoughts.
Sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 7
I am sensing the human is the hungry emotion.
She managed to create zee darkness right at zee end. I imagine vee vill go back and investigate ven it has faded.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar listens to Captain Albrecht intently, as he nears the party he states what he hopes is obvious
It was the magic, she must have cast a spell on me
though the thoughts seemed to be my own...what are we doing down here
Ivar smile to Bayani and points at the chakrams
I knew I as right on the boat. You must show me how to throw those, so when we return to civilization I can buy some. They are very effective; much better than a javelin
as he walks past he points to the pond and asks
are we interested in the coins in the water?
Ivar takes the front again and continues down the corridor that the girls were talking in.
Rhea Stardust
Okay Ivaaar! I've got something fun for YOU to do meow.
MAP UPDATED.
As Ivar on point reaches the end of the tunnel he notices something: although it appears to be solid stone, the centuries have worn this wall away right here at the end. A tiny crack has recently feathered it's way from the floor almost to the ceiling.
The wall has AC5 the crack is NOT an automatic hit. Too small, hardness 6, HP30.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar, about to turn back notices the crack, points at it and says glad there was not perception check :)
There’s a crack in the wall, let me take a whack at it and see if it goes any where
Ivar sets down his beloved axe and shouldering his shield, with both hands he uses one of the baboons clubs and whales away at the

That was exactly right Ivar. Nice post:) I like it when players put in the effort.
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda looks upon Ivar's effort with mild amusement, struggling not to tap her foot as he hits at the wall for what seems like ages. Finally, when she is about to protest the stoppage, the walls rumble and rocks start to fall upon her from a small collapse!
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
The priestess tries to duck away from the falling rocks, but manages to turn right into a small stone that hits her forehead, leaving her seeing stars. As the rumble quickly fades away and her eyes come back into focus, she glares at Ivar, then look around to see who might be hurt.
Merelinda Falvian
Haha, you bang on rocks in real life for a minute and a half and tell me if you have a headache afterwards. :P
"Besides for this goose egg about to sprout on my forehead, I'm fine, I suppose." The priestess gives him a sour look, but still accepts the help up, peering into the newly opened chamber.

MAP UPDATED
V22. TEMPLE oF YDERSIUs
This long chamber evokes the feel of an ancient, hideous cathedral. To the north (leading to V23), an immense carving of a snake's head looms, an ash-caked door clenched in its jaws, while to the south rises a horrific mound of bones and partially decayed bodies in an eight-foot-tall heap arranged almost as if to evoke the imagery of a coiled snake made of corpses.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
so is rooting through a pile of bones something that only a "murder-hobo" would do? Or would a Viking do that also? I know "Oh Ivar" don't sat it like that, say it like...Ivar.
Ivar walks about the room looking at all there is to see. He finds the stacked bones interesting, in a sort of anal retentive way. Not really interested in architecture or religious symbols. after several minutes of looking, giving the rest of the team plenty of time to at least get in the room Ivar eventually ends on the north section of the room and "checks out the giant snake head door".
Edit: "I'm doing this", that's what you said right, can't say Ivar doesn't follow directions, eventually :)
Bayani Nishou
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
"Ow! Gorum's balls! That hurt!" Bayani exclaims as a chunk of rock lands on his foot, making him hop around in pain.
"Maybe a little healing, Miss Merelinda?"
Taking 10 on both Knowledge checks.
Captain Albrecht
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Bart Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
A rock bounces off Albrecht's noggin just before the panther leaps deftly back. Ow! Blast zis cavern!
Albrecht looks around the room, avoiding the corpses, not spending much time near what he has no knowledge of he quickly arrives at the door. Stopping next to Ivar, So vat do you sink? I imagine vatever is beyond von't be unoccupied. just open it and see vat happens? Kick it in to give zem a nice surprise? A big surprise. He grins up at Ivar as he says this. After zee others are done of course.
Is the door large enough for large Ivar to fit through?
Edit: Ahh I guess since it is 5ft wide probably not.
Rhea Stardust
As Ivar and Albrecht appraoch the door they notice a few things.
Rhea Stardust
haha! Mabe Merelinda can roll a 10 and add +2 aiding another...
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda comes up behind Tusara, placing a hand on her back while pointing at a character with her other hand. "Did you notice that glyph right there...I thought you might have missed it..." It was too bad she was pointing at a dust bunny on the floor.

Bayani Nishou
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Bayani shrugs, "Maybe someone was brewing something here and had a blowup? Strange place for it here, though."
Rhea Stardust
holy cowballz! The dice are EVIL! how will I ever get the story across lol!
Captain Albrecht
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
I concur zis is a door zat vas uhh on fire... he finishes lamely.
Rhea Stardust
Guys this is looking like a complicated room. I will post it later on tonight.
Ivar survives! The door opens. Creeeaaak.
Rhea Stardust
Okay, some roleplay fodder for youz guyz. You know you can do anything, not just the things I suggest right? Just trying to make the environment interactive and exciting.
A low stone altar carved to resemble a yawning viper's maw, sits in the center of this room. The walls of the chamber are carved with images of some race of ancient serpentfolk using strange, pointed megaliths of stone to work great feats of magic.
Tusara Khione
Tusra files in after Ivar and starts looking around. Glancing up at the imagines of the North Wall, Tusara attempts to assert whether the carvings are real.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Bored, Tusara examines the carvings on the West wall, trying to read them.
Rhea Stardust
I like Ivar! The character and the player, haha!
Tusara, int check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 with your cursory attempt you arn't able to get much does anyone have linguistics?: To command...tides...invoke the lord's sacred name.... Because you speak ancient Azlanti you could probably decipher the rest (taking 20) but you estimate it will basically take about 6 hours.
As for Ivar...you found some interesting stuff.
1. splashing blood on curved runes carved on upright stones before a red mountain, and then
2. holding venomous snakes against the blood that they might lick the stones,
3. pouring water onto a pyramid-shaped block of red stone from a bowl, and
4. standing before the pyramid of stone with arms upraised and mouths agape as if shouting to the heavens as 5. bolt of lightning arcs up from the stones into the sky.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar looks carefully at what he believes is some kind of visual record of a spell
Hey, folks, I don’t know much about magic but does this look like a spell to you?
As the magically savvy people gather round he points out the images of the serpent folk splashing blood on curved runes carved on upright stones before a red mountain, and then holding venomous snakes against the blood that they might lick the stones, pouring water onto a pyramid-shaped block of red stone from a bowl, and standing before the pyramid of stone with arms upraised and mouths agape as if shouting to the heavens as bolt of lightning arcs up from the stones into the sky.
not sure when or where this happened or if it can happen again but it doesn’t look good
Bayani Nishou
Bayani uses his comprehend languages spell to understand the carvings.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Rhea Stardust
well i for one and now glad you chose that spell Bayani!
Bayani reads this
Rhea Stardust
Yes, you can reasonably see the similarities. The red mountain in the images as the volcanoe on the Island.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar looks intently at the illustration of the red mountain.
well that certainly looks like the volcano we saw, when do you think that spell took place, does any of this make sense to anyone?
Ivar shakes his head realizing this puzzle was beyond him, he heads back to the doorway, finding a large rock to sit on and waits for the rest of the party.
