A Renaissance Strange Aeons adventure path in Golarion.



This is a Renaissance Strange Aeons pbp game.

Character Generation Instructions:

20 point buy.
No stat lower than 9 before racial mods.
Use the background skill rules (background skill link to pfsrd)
Core races only.
Core and Occult adventures classes. If you have another one in mind, ask.
Open to archetypes, but I am certainly not familiar with them all; if you want to use one, let me know about it.
Standard money per each class.
Two traits
Max HP first level; avg hp thereafter.

Adventure path specific rules.

The game is set in the Golarion Renaissance. A time of burgeoning technological development, but the world is still a magic heavy place.

No heavy armor (firearms have killed the knights)
All weapons are allowed.
Firearms are a simple weapon. Yes, all can use them, including the mage.
Muzzle loader firearms are the only available guns
Cannons exist but are rare and are NOT known to be field pieces. They are used in fortifications, or cast on location to assist with sieges.
Rule of Law is increasing; most cities do not allow heavy weapons to be carried by the general population. A heavy weapon is any two handed weapon (including rifles). This doesn’t mean you can’t own them or move them into your hovel; it means you generally don’t go shopping with a pike or a double barrel muzzle loader. One handed weapons are fine to be worn in such locations (if there is an exception it will be part of the RP and you will know about it ahead of time).
We will need to pay attention to some encumbrance rules, so the spindly armed magician doesn’t have 42 pistols on his belt.

This is a closed campaign at this time; I may have to open it up as I don't have commitment from all my players yet...stay tuned if interested.

Giles is from a family of retainers to the XXXX family. He, in particular, is in service to YYYYY. He served time in the military in place of his Master, and, upon his return, fulfills the duty of a manservant.

The manservant profession allows one to properly serve a Master. One knows about wines, ales, how to sew a button back on and make minor clothing repairs, clean clothes, prepare and serve food, set up a tent, polish shoes, obtain domestic supplies, etc.

I am looking for one more player for the Renaissance Strange Aeons game we are forming.

We have Mssr. St. Onge, who can be viewed, as it were, under the discussion tab.

We also have a player running a Swashbuckler - probably a Mysterious Avenger, possibly a Mouser or Musketeer.

There is also a shared character, Mr. Giles, the manservant of Mssr. St. Onge. Mr. Giles comes well equipped with a mule.

I was told this would be for pfs credit, if that's so, I'm definitely interested! I will start work on a character tomorrow.


I don't see any chronicle sheets for the first two books in the AP, so probably not on the PFS credit.
