seeing the nice Vashti lady get hit really angered the felinerai to the oint he growled and half hunched over grabbing the guards ankles and suddenly yanking him up trying to hurtle him to the ground.

Im hoping a 23 beats his combat manuver defense, I dont have any sort of cool trip feat so he gets an AoO and of course if he hits its a penalty to my attack roll, so heres hoping he ends up on his back and everyone gets that tasty +4 to hit on him, (and he gets that nice -4 to hit)

Focus for as long as needed with detect magic on the vats, the icicle, and the pool where the hot tub elemental was.
Take 10 on both Spellcraft and knowledge Arcana, for a total of 20 on both.


Q4 - Privies
Running water flows through the latrines of these privies, carrying wastewater out of the tower. The eastern doors lead to stairs leading to the battlements on the outer wall.

Q5 - Ice Crystal Teleporters
A glassy pattern of striated, crystalline ice covers the tiled floor in these open alcoves, illuminated by a soft, blue light.

Q6+7 - Barracks
A total of 17 double bunkbeds fill these two rooms. Besides some weapons racks and trunks containing personal effects, there's nothing of interest.

Zes:
The teleporters are activated by a spoken phrase - or with the icicle key. Each teleporter can transport one person at a time. The process takes one full round, during which time, the character is encased in ice, dematerializes, and reappears at a specific location. During this process, the character has the paralyzed condition but can act normally the following round.

Eredhaias:
Those blue tiles let you transport between floors. The Captains should have the keys. be careful, though. Radosek's rather paranoid and has probably been using the mirrors to scry on everyone. He'll be ready for you.

Before anyone can convince her otherwise, she strides over to the teleporter and uses the key. Ice envelops her and her charred arms scream in agony. The heat pouring from them at all times does nothing against the magical ice.

Percy and Neverhome enter the teleporters, are rapidly encased in ice, and disappear. At the same time, Zes realizes that the teleporters only permit travel in one direction at a time. Unless there are more keys upstairs, they're in for a one-way trip. (Please begin posting in combat rounds. We're not actually in combat, but it'll make it easier for me to track the split party)

Percy/Neverhome:
Upon activating the teleporters, you are rapidly encased in ice, and your key vanishes. Seconds later, your frigid covering melts away, and you find yourself in a new location. A crescent-shaped dining table occupies this Y-shaped chamber, while two large mirrors on the north and south walls create the illusion of a much larger space. Twenty feet overhead, a massive chandelier of ice crystals hangs from the ceiling. To the east, rounded steps access a short hallway, flanked by twin ice sculptures of dryads holding ice-carved tree limbs, creating an elaborate archway. Translucent double doors are set in the hall's north and south walls. To the west, two alcoves stand between three windows providing an amazing view of the wintry landscape outside the tower.

You also quickly realize that the teleporters won't function without a key. Unless you can find more, you're stranded on this level. On the plus side, your ice-covered transport proved quite invigorating, and you feel strangely refreshed. (Please begin posting in combat rounds. She is more than relieved to not find instant death waiting for her, but is also very aware that she may have just killed herself. She steps out of the teleporter and looks around. When she spots Never home she quietly runs over to him and attaches herself to his leg. Oh Neverhome! What have I done! She whispers.

Sigrun and Hobbes enter the teleporters, are rapidly encased in ice, and disappear. (Please keep posting in combat rounds. We're not actually in combat, but it'll make it easier for me to track the split party)

Percy/Neverhome:
Neither of you sense any immediate threats. A few seconds later, Neverhome's intuition tells him to step off his teleporter pad. As soon as he does this, Hobbes materializes inside a rapidly-melting block of ice. Simultaneously, Sigrun appears on the southern pad.

Hobbes/Sigrun:
Upon activating the teleporters, you are rapidly encased in ice, and your key vanishes. Seconds later, your frigid covering melts away, and you find yourself in a new location. A crescent-shaped dining table occupies this Y-shaped chamber, while two large mirrors on the north and south walls create the illusion of a much larger space. Twenty feet overhead, a massive chandelier of ice crystals hangs from the ceiling. To the east, rounded steps access a short hallway, flanked by twin ice sculptures of dryads holding ice-carved tree limbs, creating an elaborate archway. Translucent double doors are set in the hall's north and south walls. To the west, two alcoves stand between three windows providing an amazing view of the wintry landscape outside the tower. Percy and Neverhome are standing nearby with weapons drawn.

You also quickly realize that the teleporters won't function without a key. Unless you can find more, you're stranded on this level. On the plus side, your ice-covered transport proved quite invigorating, and you feel strangely refreshed. (Please keep posting in combat rounds. She catapults off Lyosha's leg and tackles Hobbes in his first hug. An instant later she notices Sigrun and dashes off to attach herself to the other barbarian's leg. Thank goodness we aren't stuck here alone!
