"I could dance. If I wanted, that is. But I'm not feeling ground dance."

The small copper dragon does an 'aerial' dance that involves a few loops and flips to indicate her very own methods that are clearly the superior dragon-dancing method.

Fly(Take 10): 20 + 10 = 30

Be AMAZED, minions. Such aerial finesse and glory is your privilege for working for a true dragon! That is, if I really wanted to make a fuss about it.

"Of course, given the dancing review, has anyone stopped to consider more important financial factors like growing our wealth?"

Petrahk stops for a moment to remember WHO she's talking to.

"Dost thou takest the phattest of lewts from ye non-dancing frogings?"

Too formal, they probably won't understand that.

"Have we increased the size of the hoard today?"

After a moment or two to allow for any responses to the More important question, the copper dragon(ette) will glance to the quickling guide that has joined the party.

"And who might our new friend be? Are they going to require dental insurance too? Not that I mind paying that or anything, of course."

"Petrahk! We were just talking about how it would be a shame to face an evil fungus dragon, of all things, without our own dragon ally with us. Your timing is perfect.

"Well, unless you wanted to see some unsplattered froghemoths." He shakes his head at two 8-ton piles of disemboweled frog-goo. "In that case, your timing was a little off.

"They were a site to behold...now mostly just a mess. I don't know that something as dumb as they are would have loot to get excited about...but maybe we'll get lucky and they collect shiny things? Or piles of gear from the erstwhile frogslayers that came before us? Can't hurt to check, I'm sure.

"Anyway, this is Wendel. Wendel, this is Petrahk. She's a good dragon. (Who might look surprisingly like a kobold, but don't let that confuse you.)", Yvra adds with a wink.

"Wendel has suffered tragedy, at the hands of this dragon, who itself serves Arlantia, the corrupt fey who rules this blighted forest. He is leading us to the dragon so that we may avenge his family...and get one step closer to finding Arlantia herself, so that we can hopefully free Gendowyn (who used to rule the Accressiel Court wisely, or so we are told, before being deposed by Arlantia).

"And speaking of the dragon...after we rut around for loot, I suspect it's close enough to Dragon Time that you might as well cast your Mass Resist Acid, Velvunk.

"Which reminds me, sorry to tell you but I strongly suspect this dragon will be immune to your acid, Petrahk, as well as anything eiher a dragon OR a plant might be immune to: from mind-affecting magics, poison, paralysis, stunning. You name it. Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has both it's original acidic breath and some poison powers of some sort."

After we loot (as Petrahk suggests), I suggest:
- Velvunk casts Mass Resist Acid
- Then I resume flying/scouting, slightly ahead of the group.
Sound good?

"While some copper-hued dragons are specialists, this one is definitely not. One may totally rest assured that there are other resources I can bring to bear upon an opponent if they are indeed resistant to such things as acid." Petrahk notes in response as she considers.

"What those things are isn't important right now, of course, it is very good to meet you, Wendel, and I'm sure we'll be able to help you with your plight -- who knows, it might even be a promotion for you if that's important to you."

Yes, yes, tell the minions they have advancement opportunities and they'll work even harder for you! Unless they don't, of course, but what's a little betrayal and pranking between friends... NOT that we'd do that, of course.

If Velvunk gets one Communal Resist Energy type, then Petrahk could hit another one without impairing her output, just need to know which one we want to consider there. When we get a bit closer she's probably gonna hit True Seeing and Greater Invisibility barring objection, remaining in contact via Message

sorry for no posts since Monday - I checked in daily and got no notice of any recent posts ... maybe my addon is broken

Kwiazy searches around for a froggymouth lair or two, not knowing what one would look like though... or anything in and among the remaining froggymouth flesh lying about. If he finds something, he'll show it to the group for identification and assignment to who best might use it.

When everyone is ready to move on, after spells are cast or at least decided on, he'll start moving onward, blade at the ready in hand, in case of surprise attack.

"Im ready- let's move on, find this icky dragon-thing and deal with it so we can find the real evil power here... Azlantia or whatever her name is."

Venture Lieutenant, Play by Post (online)

A careful search does not turn up anything of interest.

You move on, and combining Wendel's knowledge with what those who scout are able to figure out, you find your way to what you believe is Naphexi's lair.

pausing for any last minute prep...

last chance before I assume you don't do any prep...

kwiazy will be ready for a fight (ie, weapon in hand and ready to call out a battle cry, remembering that dragons can have a fear aura).

battle cry: Benefit: A number of times per day equal to your Charisma bonus, you can let out a battle cry as a swift action. When you do, allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear. This effect lasts for 1 minute.

If an ally is under the effect of this feat and fails a saving throw, she can choose to end the battle cry’s effect on her to reroll the failed save against a fear effect. The ally must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s lower. Each ally can use this effect only once per use of this feat.

and since this area, and maybe this dragon along with it, might be first world related, he'll use one of his weapon blanches to make his rapier cold iron

OK, time to push forward. I don't see any particularly good buffs on Velvunk's sheet, and this is still the same day you arrived in this area, so no chance for new spells based on what you've learned.

please place yourselves in the red box on the map.
