He brv, back Here we found a breastplate, was it Master Work? I started looking at Elathras' equipment to see if we can get the numbers for disable device up.
edit: Also, what supplies do we need to kill the undead guy that cast greater darkness?
brvheart
The Spork is +1. Where did you find the breastplate so I can look it up?
Elathras Narcinal
hear in the room with all the undead and Kaz's armor. Also how much will we get for the spork?
brvheart
The breastplate is not masterwork. The spork is worth 1150 GP. Note, it is a magical weapon so make sure everyone has one before selling.

True, Ok folks who wants the spork?
Elathras Narcinal
Can not afford anything worth while at this moment. Maybe next time...
hey Trakas, Elathras won't be purchasing anything, he likes using stuff he finds, so you can use Elathras' share, and it looks like were going to have another 1,150 for the spork.
Dolgrin Brightlaughter
Random item musing. I think dolgrin's wishlist is something like:
Full plate
Enchant the falchion
A knight inheritors ring with Note instead of iomadae.
Haversack
Cha headband
Str/con belt
Clear spindle ioun stone
Wayfinder
None of that looks like it's on offer at the moment.
Party probably wants a bag of holding
Always at least 2 clw wands (more is fine but 2 prevents the lost our only healing wand problem, while I doubt we'll need more than 100d8+100 healing in between trips to the wand shop.)
A breath of life scroll? Maybe just a gentle repose scroll till we have a better shot at casting BoL.
Adamantine mining pick/sledge
Anyways, the only thing on that list that seems maybe critical is the bag of holding for carrying rope and mounds of loot
Elathras Narcinal
So this is where we were:
take a look at the list so far, purchases two more crossbows, since everyone can fire them, and cold iron and alchemical silver weapons everyone can use, will calculate the weight later, may have to put the ponies to work. added a couple of items: MW lock picks, sledge. hammer for pitons and compass. any other ideas?
6 gp. 60 lbs. = 300 ft of rope

look what I found from July 11, 2015, I spent a couple of hours going over game threads and discussion threads, ahhh good times.
We split this list into three packs, and had Elathras Dolgrin and Virgil, that’s right guys, Virgil carrying it.So this is what were carrying now.

Gruk add the +1 dagger, that you gave Beltin, back on to your list.
When we purchased items we were concerned with silver and coldiron Items. Mitleid is the only person with coldiron. While he, Elathras and Dolgrin have silver weapons.
Elathras was carrying about a third of the gear when he dumped it in the crypt. Let’s assume a few things before we go shopping.
First assumption: we still have two thirds of the items we purchased. So we still have two of the coldiron morningstars, two alchemical silver sickles. Two of the light crossbows some 60 arrows and 30 crossbow quarrels, 4 flask holy water 4 flask alchemical fire and 9 flask acid (troll killers).
Second assumptions: that Elathras was carrying most of the spelunking gear so we need to replace it.
Third assumption: that we ate the food.
So here is my proposed purchase lists, one mundane, one magical. The other good news is that several of the magical items shed light so we do not need as many light sources, though a few more magical ones would be nice.
6 gp. 60 lbs. = 300 ft of rope
2 gp. 10 lbs. = 20 pitons
.50 gp. 2lbs. = hammer
1 gp. 4 lbs. = Grappling hook
1 gp. 10 lbs. = Sledge hammer
100 gp. 200 lbs. = 200 days rations split
10 gp. .5 lbs. = compass
2 gp. 16 lbs. = Folding ladder
.20 gp. 10 jbs, = Folding pole
122.70 gp.
and yes I borrowed some ideas from Dolgrin
bag of holding: 2.500 gp.
2 clw wands: 1,500
A breath of life scroll: 1,125 gp.
A gentle repose scroll: 150 gp.
Everburning torch: 110 gp.
Travelers any tool: 250 gp.
5,635 gp.
Total recommended expenditure: 5,757.7 gp. If we drop the bag of holding it would be 3,257.7 gp. If we drop the breath of life scroll it would be 2,132.7 gp.
Gruk said the total cash was 13, 522 gp, we can take the 5,757,7 from that leaving 7,764.3 gp. To split up ten ways,
The split is one part every character so eight, one part the fort, one part group expenditures, I guess we could actually split the 7.7 k nine ways since all of this is group expenditures
Any opinions about what to get or a different split?
Dolgrin Brightlaughter
Looks good, thanks for doing adventuring accounting!
Elathras Narcinal
If that's too steep even dropping the bag of holding would still put over a 1,000 gp. in each of our pockets.
I just want to sort out what we are doing so we can get back at it.
We haven't posted in game all week. When we started this game we were each posting three or four times a day.
Every time we come to town we bog down, so I was just trying to get us back on track.
Irenicus
Let's just go with that. If someone needed the original 2k gold to buy something elathras and I can lend it from our share and take it out of next loot split. But get bag of holding for the team. We need that if we find a lot of loot.
With no party split it's 855gp 5sp 5cp each.
Kaztor Strongforge
Sounds like a plan. I'll write down the 855.55 on my sheet. I'll scribe a few scrolls out of that.
Irenicus
855.55gp
If you need more money to buy something I'm sure those of us not buying anything could lend it to you until next split. I'm buying a few spells and crafting some but should have leftovers.
Wdrozgrúk
@ Irenicus:
Was that 855.55 gp after our spending spree on stuff and healing?
I wasn't quite paying attention to the details with some RL distractions.
Per my swag spreadsheet, I figured the income (before expenses) was thus:
• 2,107 gp for each of 8 party members
• 2,107 gp to the "commons" (party's collective pot)
• 2,108.93 gp to the Castle Funds
I just wanted to update the Commons and Castle Funds (correctly).
Ta!
Trakas Aeramirdal
OK now that I have been with you guys for a few weeks, could someone explain the maps and where we are on each of them...I am seeing several maps that I have no idea what they are for...
Thanks
Elathras Narcinal
Hey Gruk, I read the "Party bling/swag value of 13,522 gp. and assumed we were dividing that by 10. Which certainly doesn't equal 2,107 gp. I like you number more, where did it come from?
@ Trakas, there are four regional maps, and then roll 20, obviously we do combat on roll 20. As for the other maps, we are in 'Zelkors Ferry' and headed to a fort we found and are rebuilding north-west of there. I believe the fort is the red "X" on the 'Zelkor's Ferry area map.' Of course the 'you are here' is Zelkor's Ferry.
Irenicus
The 855 is based off elathras number, minus expenses for bag and clw etc, then divided by 9 (party fund gets 0). If there is more than elathras had then it would be more.
I also forgot if we had something in the party fund. If we do, then we can subtract expenses from that first, then divide the leftover by 9. Since those are party expenses anyway :)
(Total loot value - (expenses - party fund, min 0))/9, party fund gets 0
If party fund could pay for at least half (or all) of the expenses, then just do:
Total loot value/10, party fund gets a share (after subtracting expenses).
Hopefully that wasn't confusing lol. Or just do whatever so we can leave town lol.
brvheart

The other three maps are area maps from the area where you are in.

I apparently used a different total than Gruk did. Gruk what was the total before we divided it?
Irenicus
That swag sheet is pretty handy. Not sure how it's split in net worth and bling but check out the other tabs elathras. Maybe if Gruk gives you edit rights and explains it you could both update it as needed. Swag tab looks like over 20k value.... Anyway I say we continue and hammer out the loot details as we go.
Wdrozgrúk
The link is here. You don't need any special permission to edit with that link.
I put the relevant post numbers where we found stuff in the "swag" sheet.
I talked everyone long time ago into the extra Commons and Castle funds
so we all have something to fall back on as a group.
I marked items as not for sale. And there were only two of those. The
spiffy bow Mitleid has, and the spell book that lunatic barbarian had.
Most of the items we'd found can be resold at full value, as either art or cash.
What I have added up on that sheet (if I got everything right), is:
• Total cash value: 21,022.93 gp
• Each (of us 8) party members gets 2,102.00 GP
• The Commons (party funds) also gets 2,102.00 GP
• The Castle fund gets 2,102.93 GP
I set it so the Castle fund gets any loose change (silver and copper) left over.
Since we have 8 party members, this works out to a convenient 10-way split of the cash numbers.
Irenicus
So 21022.93gp - 5,757.7 gp recommended expenditures = 15,265.23gp. with 10 way split is 1526.5gp each including party fund and castle. With .23gp leftover and put into castle lol. So nothing subtracted this time from party fund, but it gets an additional 1526.5gp.
Everyone good with that, yes? Good :)
Each person = +1526.5gp
Party fund = +1526.5gp
Castle fund = +1526.73gp
Let's go!
Wdrozgrúk
Those numbers are almost spot on.
• Prize (haul) of 21,022.93 gp
• Expenses of 5,757.7 gp (to heal our injuries, mostly)
• Leaving 15,265.23 gp in total
• 15,265.23 gp ÷ 10 (ignoring fractions) = 1,526.00 gp each share
• So, 1,526.00 gp per member and party Commons
• That leaves 5.23 gp in loose change from ignoring fractions
• The castle funds share therefore is 1,531.23 gp
I realized I didn't quite have the formulae right for dropping fractions
of GP in the divvying up of cash. So, I updated the "Share Calc"
sheet to properly show the spare change that goes to the castle funds.
That extra spare change, of course, can go to buying the castle staff a
bit more grog! (oooo, ahhh!)
We'll still be better off, financially, at the end of the day.
And more than a little, I figure.
Elathras Narcinal
ok, we've gotten to the castle. frankly it's been so long since we've been here I have forgotten what we were doing ie. there are no gates.
We were originally coming back to drop of Dolgrin, but since he is back and active he will be staying with us.
So what do we need to do? So we can get back at. If anyone wants to RP at the fort lets do it now.
Irenicus, I love the idea of you taking a couple of days using magic to fix a few things, would you run that with brv while any of the rest of us RP?
Kaztor Strongforge
Didn't we have a goblin crafter of arms and armor that we left basically in charge here?
brvheart
There is a week’s worth of work in cleaning the castle and washing away the mess left by its previous occupants, but the party should be free to hire labor (skilled and otherwise) from any nearby towns (such as Zelkor’s Ferry, or one of the GMs devising).
• 400 gp worth of repairs and a stableboy would see the stables operational again, taking care of the PC’s horses while they’re off adventuring.
• A cleric could re-sanctify the temple, and be available to tend to sick or injured characters, perhaps later picking up the ability to cast useful spells such as lesser restoration.
• 1,200 gp would see the gatehouse and drawbridge repaired, making the castle far more defensible against attack.
Your guards have done a lot of the cleaning and some minor repairs to the stables. You can actually enter the front doors and most the first floor rooms are cleaner anyway.
Dolgrin Brightlaughter
If we have enough to repair the gatehouse/drawbridge I vote we do that.
I don't know where we could find a cleric follower to sit in the chapel just yet, but it's worth remembering.
Kaztor Strongforge
I agree that the 1200 would be my first investment. I've got 1500 gold or so. And a good Magic Weapon. So how about I pay 1000 of the bill and the rest of you kick in a total of 200 to get that work done.
Wdrozgrúk
Well, according to the swag spreadsheet, we should have:
• 1,889.87 GP for the castle-specific funds, and
• 2,171.50 GP for the general party funds.
So, between the two, we've got lots of cash for castle upgrading.
Maybe two or three of us should go back to town?
To negotiate, hire skilled staff and buy more stuff (especially for the doors and such).
