So I notice that Operation Hard Lemonade are putting their in-game stuff in a spoiler. Do you want us to do that, to keep things hidden? I haven't been reading their spoiler-ed information to keep things hidden from the player and character for the moment.
I just started doing it because some of the posts were getting a little long. Then it became a habit, like breathing or studying historical atrocities. :)

It's not necessary. If I really want to keep something secret, I will send it via a PM.

Ack, sorry folks, I fell asleep in the middle of typing out responses. They should be up in a few minutes.
:-)
I passed out early as well last night!

My plan to have Brick Arm disarm the man, then grab him and turn him toward Mairead and Pádraic to be summarily be punched into unconsciousness has failed thanks to the intervention of the dice gods :/.
Also! If you took armor back at the safehouse, it is up to you if you took either reinforced clothing (+1 to soak) or a kevlar vest (+3 soak, -1 to all Dex rolls). In any event, if you shift to any form other than Homid or Glabro, you lose it.

Hey, no worries!
Usually in PbP, we post in block initiative - Characters with higher Init than monsters, monsters, characters with lower initiative than monsters, or the second option, comparing the average init of both monsters and PCs, and then one acts before the other.
Don't know if that works for ST system, or whether the initiative is more important here than anywhere else, so that's just my observations!
I'll choose to go with the reinforced clothing, since I like my Dex rolls, and already made the stealth check without a penalty.
How do we spend XP? After (inbetween) scenes, I'd imagine, or when there'd be reasonable to have enough time to train? At any rate, Mairy's first purchase will be Gnosis from 1 to 2, which would cost 2 points.
I'll re-figure out how combat works, and post, so you don't have to double post!
EDIT:
Punching people is her speciality, so I think 10's counted double, so that makes it 8 DoS. 6 if I'm wrong! Not sure if 10's double on damage, I'm assuming not. So that's 7 damage, or 6 if 10's don't count double on the brawl, which would be enough to send someone unconscious, usually. Although you could argue such an attack could be lethal, so that Mairy has to live with killing a man.
She'd use another rage point for another attack if he's still conscious, so you could roll for that. I think that hit could've knocked her out in a single hit, so I'd assume the guard is out, although this guy is ferociously competent.
Also, regarding spoilers, I try to put my ramblings in those, so I don't clutter up the thread - everyone's free to read them, of course!

Regarding EXP, you can spend it anytime, even in the middle of a scene, with two caveats:
You're spending it on a skill you already have at least 1 dot in.
You're spending it on an ability.
For new skills, we don't have to RP you learning it, but I would like EXP spent to buy first dots in them to come only between scenes.
Learning new Gifts or Rites will require roleplaying the sidequest to track down someone to teach you it.

Oh man, my WW PCs are about to fight a pack of higher ranked Dancers... well, I DID try to warn them I/C ;-)

Tabletop or here on the boards?
Here on the boards.

Hey all, sorry for lack of posting. I don't have a good excuse, was feeling a bit uninspired. Will have something up within the hour.
No worries, sometimes DM/STing is a tough job, been having a hard time myself lately!
Danny Greedy
I am going to spend 4 XP on the second dot of Dexterity.
Mairead Kavanagh
I think I've got the Rage expenditure alright this time, Mairy had 8 (5 Starting, 3 from Moon), and now should be left with 2.
I'll probably purchase Gnosis. I'm also very much looking forward to the moment combat's quieted down and she can panic about breaching the Veil, murder, and security cameras. Also supernatural beasts. And general panic.

Hey everyone, I think there may be some confusion regarding regeneration and soaking.
Regeneration happens only once, on your "turn" in combat. It is a reflexive action which is WoD speak for a free action (mostly). You get back one, the most recent, health level on your turn. If that health level is lethal damage, in order to regenerate it, you need to roll your stamina and score at least one 8 and no 1's. If you botch this roll (at least one 1 with no 8's), your regeneration shuts off for the rest of the scene. Aggravated damage cannot be regenerated in combat, so if you have a point of aggravated damage on a health level, your regeneration skips it and moves to the next most recently damaged health level that is not aggravated.
Soaking happens immediately when you are damaged. Against pretty much everything except silver, you immediately roll your Stamina. Any 6's that come up cancel one level of damage done to you from the damage roll your soak was opposing. You can't botch this roll and 1's do not detract from successes (I was incorrect about this in earlier posts but thankfully Danny corrected me).
If you are in breed form (the form you were born in), you soak silver according to the type of weapon that it is and the damage that it does (for most cases, this will be lethal). Outside of your breed form, damage from silver weapons cannot be soaked, and because it will deal aggravated damage to you, it cannot be regenerated either.
The exception to this are Metis, who because they are born in Crinos form, take unsoakable aggravated damage from silver in all of their forms.
I apologize if I was unclear in any of my previous explanations. Let me know if I am still not explaining things sufficiently.
It is a bit late, and my air conditioning is broken, so I feel like a human swamp. I promise I will post in the IC thread tomorrow, have most of it planned out at the moment.

I was confused. :) I read it that we got a standard regeneration roll every round, then a second one as sort of second chance retroactive soak. I also may have been tired when I did the reading.
So...
2 bursts the first round, 2 damage and 4 damage.
P soaked the first entirely and ate all of the second. 4 damage net.
Round 2: 2 damage and 2 damage.
P soaks 0 and 0. Total 8 damage. That'll kill him.
But regeneration. Ignoring the rolls I made for each hit, I got zero heals. If I could backdate the first regen roll to the first round and take my first mistaken immediate one as the roll of round 2, that would fix me up 2 health levels. 6 still puts me at crippled and -5 to dice pools. Or dead if that retcon isn't ok.
Can I blow willpower to get autosuccesses on regeneration or soak, or is that only for deliberate actions?
Raconteur Orgon
I'm not sure of the official rules on this, but if it is not the case, I will houserule that you can spend willpower to gain automatic successes on regeneration and soak roles. If it will keep you from dying, I'm fine with people deciding to spend these willpower points after soak and regeneration rolls have been made.
Also, I'm in the process of writing up my post. Should be ready in about an hour. Padraic, I am going to assume you spend enough willpower to survive.
Also, I forgot one thing, you can't regenerate if you are in your breed form (except for Metis).

I'm very fine with that. Nothing wrong with a boy getting cut down to size a bit in his first outing, but actually dead would be a bummer. :)

ST, I don't have the book in front of me, do I need to make a roll to enter the Umbra and track down a spirit to learn the gift or can we assume that I did that over Downtime?
That would cost me another 3 XP as it is within my Breed.
Danny Greedy
You can learn it during your downtime if you like. Since you have a few days, no roll is necessary to enter the Umbra.
Great, I'll mark off the XP and add it to my sheet. Considering spending my last 2 XP on Athletics, will let you know by the weekend if I will or not.

Hey everyone.
This past week I've had a killer case of writer's block. I've sat down every day to make a post and just stared at the screen. I think I'm over it and should have something up in an hour or two.
Understood completely.
Danny Greedy
I will hold onto my last 2 XP.

Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.
To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.
My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!
Mairead Kavanagh
Hey guys! Quick update, I mentioned I will be scarcely posting this week, as I'm just about wrapping up with university, period.
In addition, my laptop had honorably passed away, luckily the day after I handed in my final report. I'll be looking into getting it fixed, but for now I'll be posting scarcely, if I find somewhere to do it from. I'd ask you to bot me, if possible, and I'll try and get on with the game ASAP.
Cheers, and sorry!
