Ducar heads to Ishtar street, and looks in the spots known to engage in slave trade.

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

I agree. You should have the lead in talking to people, since you know this area well. I shall fight if you ask me to.

I hope I am not called on to fight. I am not sure I could contain myself if anyone makes me angry. And if someone is hurting a child, I will probably get very angry. And once my new comrades see me like *that* I wonder what they will think of me.

The district looked lavish, as all districts of this type goes. The obvious thing about the district was the red lanterns on most of the buildings as well as the three temples. The temples were built of marble, but the common public houses were made of plaster and brick. The place was bustling with people of all sizes and races. It was almost hard to tell between one and the other. It seemed as though the place was very busy.

Ducar leads the others to the nearest place that is involved in the slave trade to see if a child of the girl's description has passed though recent stock.

The leader just shakes his head "no, not here."

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

Circe will whisper quietly to the others, What is the meaning of those red lanterns? Do they mean what I suspect?

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

They aren't lying and they aren't hiding something.

Do I feel like there might be other places to check on Ishtar? Otherwise probably will head to the temple district.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Yes. of course! :D

There are 10 places you can check.

Ok Ducar will check all 10 as swiftly as possible. trying to speed this along so the whole party isnt waiting on me

No, no, no, no, YES!, no, no, no, no.

The Yes was the Palace of the Seven Veils, the fifth one you checked.

At the Palace of the Seven Veils, Ducar will inquire more pointedly regarding the missing child.

"Such a girl did pass through here? Might I inquire as to where? I have a special interest in purchasing the child."

"Actually, she was sold an hour ago," said the man at the door. "She was purchased by a wealthy doctor from the Phoenician district an hour ago."

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

Circe is also on the alert for trouble.

In the meantime, she avidly takes in the sights and sounds of all the different areas of the city they've visited.

This is similar to home, but also so different. Traders from every corner of the world-- that is familiar. But the food, the clothing, the animals, the *people*-- that is so different

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

Would you mind describing the good doctor?

Inactive

LifeGiver stares blankly at the man. 'Sold?' He asks himself. 'SurfaceWorlders have such a strange concept of value. A child cannot do much. Not good labourer. Not good warrior. Maybe good spy, but not smart enough yet.' And he somehow knows that that isn't what they have in mind, especially since the one who purchased was a doctor. He was vaguely familiar with the idea, and recognised that the man may, in a way, be a kin to him. They were two who restored life, who helped people. But LifeGiver still did not understand. "What doctor need with child?" He asked aloud.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"He was an alchemist who was very creepy!" he said, shivering. "Had an eye missing but replaced with a bronze eye piece. and the way he spoke, so I sold her quickly."

"Eye piece? As in, his eye was replaced? Or some sort of ornamentation?" Ducar asks of the man.

To LifeGiver, she responds "He may not be a nice kind of doctor. While he may be looking for an apprentice, most likely he is experimenting on purchased slaves, or perhaps he has worse perversions. We must act quickly." she says, stepping towards the door, but still expecting an answer from the man.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"I don't know what it is!" he said.

"Well, let's go. To the Phoenician district."

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

Sold!? You sold... a child... to a creepy alchemist! You are...

Circe take several deep breaths, attempting to cool her blood.

And... who brought you this child?

After receiving any answer she'll follow the others to the Phoenician district.

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

yes could you please tell us who brought you this child for you to sell? she says before the party leave

DM tell me if you need a diplo or intimidate

Silver Crusade

"I don't know their names exactly, but they were a drow and an orc," he said. "I'll need something to help jog my memory."

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

sure thing, how much ?

Inactive

LifeGiver's eyes narrow and he hisses at the mention of a Drow. "Is just like them. Liars and thieves." He spits.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"50 drakma can help me remember more." He says, holding out his hand.

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

for that price i sure hope to have enough info to be able to find them with out taking too much effort. she says putting 5 Stater in the opened hand

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"Ah, now I remember better! The orc's name was Slargbag and the elf's name was Timon Del'Sur."

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

any distinctive physical feature? or place they hang out as name can be just a good lie she says with a smile

Ducar pauses a moment, impressed with Solinas's investigative prowess.

Inactive

Does the name Timon Del'Sur mean anything to me, having had some encounters with the Drow before?

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

Even the drow walk freely here? And purchase human slaves in the daylight?

And did they mention any reason for wanting this particular child?

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8
LifeGiver wrote:

No, Timon Del'Sur isn't that kind of a drow. He's actually from Volcania.

"I might remember more with another drachma." he says, holding out his hand.

Ducar flips the man a drachma, beginning to show signs of anger. "We don't have time for this foolishness, you would be wise to tell us what we want to know and be done with this."

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

Solinas hands out the coin

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"Timon Del'Sur's eyes are pitch black and a head full of red hair, while the Orc is missing one tusk and has salt and pepper hair," he said, catching both coins. "They both work at the inn called the Simply Dressed Tart. It's one of the inns of ill repute in the whole Southwest quadrant."

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

Ha now that is relevant information. Perfect then i am done here. Good day to you gentlemen she says heading off

traveling with her new companions:

Well, if some of you want to teach them a lesson after this, well you know who and where. She says with a grin

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

Alright lets move Solinas will take everyone to Phoenician district. there she will ask directions to the house of the Alchemyst with the bronze eye piece.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Their isn't a bridge connecting the docks on either side, due to how deep the river is. However, the best way across is a ferry at the northern end of the docks. The ferry man is a jolly halfling with a pipe and eyes that are enchanting.

"O-har, O-har, welcome to my ferry!" he says. "Do ye need crossing?"

Hp 16/16 AC 19 (+2 Perc, +4 Init, Fort +3 Ref +4, Will +2) Elven Vision

Indeed we need to. How much for all of us to crosse? she says with a large smile

Female Maenad Wilder/Bard

I'm new here, but I think my compatriots are letting themselves get swindled. They've already spent more seeking information for this job, than I had hoped to earn.

Circe glowers at small man, daring him to overcharge.

Inactive

LifeGiver stares at the wide river in horror, having not seen anything like it before. As the others begin to load onto the ferry, relief starts to sweep over him, though it is quickly dissipated as he feels the boat move under his feet. Without thinking, he wraps his arms around Circe's waist. "Nothing like this in UnderWorld." He mutters embarrassed.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"Oh, three obols should do it," he says.

Ducar produces 3 obols and gets on the boat, suppressing a chuckle at lifegiver's discomfort.
