I agree. You should have the lead in talking to people, since you know this area well. I shall fight if you ask me to.
I hope I am not called on to fight. I am not sure I could contain myself if anyone makes me angry. And if someone is hurting a child, I will probably get very angry. And once my new comrades see me like *that* I wonder what they will think of me.

The district looked lavish, as all districts of this type goes. The obvious thing about the district was the red lanterns on most of the buildings as well as the three temples. The temples were built of marble, but the common public houses were made of plaster and brick. The place was bustling with people of all sizes and races. It was almost hard to tell between one and the other. It seemed as though the place was very busy.

No, no, no, no, YES!, no, no, no, no.
The Yes was the Palace of the Seven Veils, the fifth one you checked.

Circe is also on the alert for trouble.
In the meantime, she avidly takes in the sights and sounds of all the different areas of the city they've visited.
This is similar to home, but also so different. Traders from every corner of the world-- that is familiar. But the food, the clothing, the animals, the *people*-- that is so different

LifeGiver stares blankly at the man. 'Sold?' He asks himself. 'SurfaceWorlders have such a strange concept of value. A child cannot do much. Not good labourer. Not good warrior. Maybe good spy, but not smart enough yet.' And he somehow knows that that isn't what they have in mind, especially since the one who purchased was a doctor. He was vaguely familiar with the idea, and recognised that the man may, in a way, be a kin to him. They were two who restored life, who helped people. But LifeGiver still did not understand. "What doctor need with child?" He asked aloud.
| Ducar |
"Eye piece? As in, his eye was replaced? Or some sort of ornamentation?" Ducar asks of the man.
To LifeGiver, she responds "He may not be a nice kind of doctor. While he may be looking for an apprentice, most likely he is experimenting on purchased slaves, or perhaps he has worse perversions. We must act quickly." she says, stepping towards the door, but still expecting an answer from the man.

"Timon Del'Sur's eyes are pitch black and a head full of red hair, while the Orc is missing one tusk and has salt and pepper hair," he said, catching both coins. "They both work at the inn called the Simply Dressed Tart. It's one of the inns of ill repute in the whole Southwest quadrant."

Their isn't a bridge connecting the docks on either side, due to how deep the river is. However, the best way across is a ferry at the northern end of the docks. The ferry man is a jolly halfling with a pipe and eyes that are enchanting.
"O-har, O-har, welcome to my ferry!" he says. "Do ye need crossing?"
| LifeGiver |
LifeGiver stares at the wide river in horror, having not seen anything like it before. As the others begin to load onto the ferry, relief starts to sweep over him, though it is quickly dissipated as he feels the boat move under his feet. Without thinking, he wraps his arms around Circe's waist. "Nothing like this in UnderWorld." He mutters embarrassed.
