Round 5

1. Enemies

The Ettin is totally enraged!

"Stand still so that I can smash you like your friend!! Arghhhhh!!"

He tries to strike Zarek and can really punch him in the face lightly.

Flail: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Confirm Flail: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

2. ALL PCs -> GO!

Constitution to Stabilize: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12

Made it exactly.

The Ettin needs to get a little closer to hit me. Most likely provoking AOO from Anthelea

I dont think that whips or scorpion whips allow AoO.

Liberty's Edge

I double checked, I dont see anything against it, at least from what I can tell

Seeing the damage that the creature is doing with the ax, the warpriesstess will attempt to disarm the creature
1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 1 + 5 = 25 to hit

I am not sure how the AoO would work since she is out of the range of the monster

Liberty's Edge

nit +5; Senses low-light vision; Perception +6 ————— Defense ————— AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 15 (+4 armor, +1 Dex, +1 shield) hp 14 Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +5; +2 vs. enchantments Immune sleep

Disarm

If your attack is successful, your target drops one item it is carrying of your choice (even if the item is wielded with two hands). If your attack exceeds the CMD of the target by 10 or more, the target drops the items it is carrying in both hands (maximum two items if the target has more than two hands). If your attack fails by 10 or more, you drop the weapon that you were using to attempt the disarm. If you successfully disarm your opponent without using a weapon, you may automatically pick up the item dropped.

The elven warpriest uses the momentum and disarms the Ettin when he wildly approaches Zarek.

Scorpion whips do lethal damage but still don’t threaten.

Liberty's Edge

nit +5; Senses low-light vision; Perception +6 ————— Defense ————— AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 15 (+4 armor, +1 Dex, +1 shield) hp 14 Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +5; +2 vs. enchantments Immune sleep

would her scorpion whip do damage

The Concordance

Male Human psychic 1

It would not both do damage and disarm.

Lem is correct. But Lem is also up! ;-)

Silver Crusade

Male LG Angel-blooded aasimar (angelkin) warpriest (champion of the faith) of Ragathiel 1 | HP 9/9 | AC 20 T 12 FF 18 | CMB +3, CMD 15 | F: +3, R: +2, W: +4 | Init: +2 | Perc: +2, SM: +2 | Speed 20ft | Blessings: 3/3 | Corruption Resistance 1/1| Active conditions:

Do not forget Zarek. He did not act yet. I was waiting to what happened. I am assuming that he did his damage and then got disarmed.

Seeing that the Ettin is now in the cross fire, Zarek steps into the beast and attack.Five foot step and then attack

attack+IC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Miss anyway

Male Halfling Bard 1 | AC 15 | T 13 | FF 13| HP:11/11 | CMD 10 | Fort +3 | Ref +5 | Will +3, +2 vs. fear, | Init +2 | Perception +2

Wrong icon. Sorry.

Lem keeps up the performance and the barrage of stones, stepping back again.

Sling: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 1 = 181d4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 + 1 = 3

Lem’s bullet hit the left head and it seems as if it went unconscious.

Round 6

1. Enemies

"I ... I will smash!! Arghhhhh!!"

He tries to strike Zarek with his arms!!

Unarmed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

AoO from Zarek. If you hit and he is dead no damage as AOO is resolved before. Otherwise damage as seen above.

2. ALL PCs -> GO!

I doubt that hit

stabilization, DC 10: 1d20 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 1 = 10 Oh, at least I am stable

Zarek uses the opportunity and strikes the Ettin's head off!!!

You only hear a ...

"Erghhhh .... ahrghhrrhhrhh ..." from the remaining head and the large giant drops to the ground like a stone.

Clinging to the foul skin of the Ettin you find a beautiful, glittering golden pendant in the shape of dragon's head which was smeared with blood. You can easily search the rest of the cavern, finding nothing but filth.

Kn(arcana) DC 15:

The markings which were cut into the skin of the Ettin are diabolic runes which could be used to protect giants from draconic beings with the right focus. And the amulet could serve as exactly that focus. Essentially, you assume that Aureliax would not have been able to protect the town as it would not have been able to harm this Ettin.

The woman that the Ettin dropped is probably Gilda Korgren, the mother of the Tiefling, and she also seems to have the runes carved all over her body and it looks as if she died from these injuries and not through the hands of the Ettin.

Male Halfling Bard 1 | AC 15 | T 13 | FF 13| HP:11/11 | CMD 10 | Fort +3 | Ref +5 | Will +3, +2 vs. fear, | Init +2 | Perception +2

Let retrieves the amulet. He already made that knowledge roll. Best we take the woman's body back. he recommends.

We need to get our mighty champion up. she states.

Grand Lodge

Both of us. I believe Lem might have items since he is just a pre-gen, otherwise use my stuff.

She can use healing items but doenst have any with her. She has used her 1st level spells for the day and she is not high enough level to channel.

You'll find a way to heal Oded! ;-) Assume Lem used his resources.

You do not find anything else in the caves.

After you have defeated the ettin and recovered the golden pendant, you emerge from the cave to find yourselves ... face to face with Aurelliax in her true form (picture in the slide deck).

She is a magnificent mature adult gold dragon whose presence dwarfs your own.

Male Halfling Bard 1 | AC 15 | T 13 | FF 13| HP:11/11 | CMD 10 | Fort +3 | Ref +5 | Will +3, +2 vs. fear, | Init +2 | Perception +2

Lem is honored and humbled and horrified all at once. Great one, we have defeated an abomination that sought to protect itself against your defense of this land and its people and have recovered your token that was being used in a perverse and negative way. We now plan to take these wayward children back to town. Perhaps you can help us show them wisdom and provide them guidance into adulthood?

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Liberty's Edge

nit +5; Senses low-light vision; Perception +6 ————— Defense ————— AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 15 (+4 armor, +1 Dex, +1 shield) hp 14 Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +5; +2 vs. enchantments Immune sleep

She is amazed at the sight of the dragon.

The dragon raises an eyebrow when hearing Lem ... silence follows for several seconds.

”Thank you, travelers, for protecting the people of Highdelve, and for recovering my amulet. Truly, you are the heroes these people needed. Let me commend you, as well, for sparing the lives of those children that belong to this town ... I will take care that they are loved and brought back to this community!“

You see the golden pendant levitating from Lem's hands in the golden dragon’s direction and it vanishes when touching her scales.

She looks at you for a while.

”Please accept these as a token of my appreciation.“

Four statuettes of gold dragons with diamonds for eyes appear out of thin air and levitate to your hands.

Liberty's Edge

I shall treasure these always she says accepting the gift.

Grand Lodge

m human (kelshite) cleric/2 [HP: 16/16] [init: 2; perc: 3] [AC: 15/12/13] [saves: 3/2/5] [CMB: 2; CMD: 14(12)] [channels used: 0/6; DC=13] [restorative touch used: 0/6]

"Us members of the Pathfinder Society humbly thank you for your gift and look forward to helping in the future if needed." says Oded, bowing deeply to the Great Dragon.

You can see that she is content to see you appreciate the present which truly look identical to her perfect form.

”Now,” she says, unfurling her magnificent wings. ”would you care to ride on my back as I carry the cart of brightblooms, along with the children, back to Highdelve?”

Male Halfling Bard 1 | AC 15 | T 13 | FF 13| HP:11/11 | CMD 10 | Fort +3 | Ref +5 | Will +3, +2 vs. fear, | Init +2 | Perception +2

Would I? Wow. Lem says as he pockets the statuette and clambers up onto the dragon's back.

That would be a new sensation. she exclaims, If you would have me Revered One she says.

Grand Lodge

"It would be the greatest of honors for this humble servant of good."

Wow, I honestly thought that was going to be a miss

Zarek wipes the blade on the flesh of the Ettin to remove a majority of the blood. "I will have to clean my blade when we get back"

***************

"Thank you for the statuettes" Zarek says placing it carefully in his back pack.

"As long as it is not too much. I do not wish to burden you"

After the ride of your life you land in Highdelve and can finally enjoy the jubilee!
What you do with the rest of your time ... only you can tell! ;-)

Liberty's Edge

nit +5; Senses low-light vision; Perception +6 ————— Defense ————— AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 15 (+4 armor, +1 Dex, +1 shield) hp 14 Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +5; +2 vs. enchantments Immune sleep
