dotting - GM note that Lore should be 2nd lvl for this mod... I think

![]() |

dotting.
Lore, I think that you will be leveling up after this encounter with the rest of us.
Excited to play. Thanks for taking control of the group GM.

GM Beman |

Oh no....
Lore it looks like you ran Frostfur Captives before starting the First Steps series...that puts you at 2nd level and unable to play this scenario as Lorelendral. You're a great player and fun to have around; so I'm hoping you'll either create another character or run a pregenerated character and apply the credit to one of your future characters.

oh... my bad, it takes 3 mods to level up, not 2... it's a rather sticky situation - when brayden said he wasn't going to continue this, I started playing in frostfur captives. then you took over here, leaving me playing in 2 scenarios at the same time, both at 1st lvl. We haven't finished frostfur captives, so technically Lore is still 1st lvl. I guess that mean if I play in this game, she should have been 2nd lvl in Frostfur captives. Should I just go ahead and play her as 1st lvl here and consider frostfur as happening after? I know this is confusing, but it all happened very quickly and playing in 2 at once was not intentional.
If you want me to make a new character I can. Or I can just finish this one with Lore at 1st lvl and let her level up in Frostfur after this.

If you want me to make a new character, it will take me a day or so, as I have a face to face pf game tomorrow and probably won't be able to finish up a new character until tomorrow late night.

Sitting in her chair on the set, legs crossed, Shilyn bounces one fuzzy bunny slippered foot while looking over her lines for the next scene. Taking a bite of doughnut and a sip of coffee, she looks up. "I'm here," she mumbles as she stuffs the rest of the doughnut into her mouth and licks her fingers.
She reaches for yet another one, drawing the scowls and mutters from the human cast members. Shilyn pays them little mind but nods her head in their direction. "They're just jealous of my half-elven metabolism."

Lore, I would just see if your gm in frostfur will allow you to apply that to a brand new generic character. The gm shouldn't have a problem once you explain you accidentally double booked, and would like to level with your regular group,as it has now resumed in play again.
Unless he/she is a jerk. Lol.

![]() |

You don't actually need to play through the first steps first anyways. So a new character would be able to walk right into frostfur if they wanted.

![]() |

well, we are well into frostfur but I will talk to the gm about it, see what he says.

Amnur strolls the the refreshment table, and lifts an entire platter of pastries, putting a few other items onto it for good measure, and moves near to Shilyn. He begins inserting items into his mouth, removing his helmet so as to have better access. Looking up towards his half-elf friend, "Methabolthithum?" he asks curiously while crumbs fly freely, his lips having a hard time forming the words around a mouthful of pastry.

I kept a fairly brisk pace to finish part 2 simply because we had been there since mid-July and I was anxious to simply get us the heck out of there. That said I would like to see at the very least one post per day from each player. Anything slower than that and games go on much too long and people start to lose interest.
In Part 3 there are five major encounters with a few minor ones in between. It is my hope to spend no more than one week per encounter which, combined with the expected holiday downtime, should have us finishing up in early to mid January.

![]() |

I know I had a busy stint at work which disrupted me for a couple weeks, but I think (knocking on wood here) I'm back to multiple postings per day. Does the pace feel off on the adventure or your own personal pace? Just clarifying :)

![]() |

Work for me is sending me all over the place, and the end-of-year holiday parties, musicals, kids programs, and such are keeping me busy. I will try to improve my overall posting, though. This is a good, active group.

![]() |

I am good for at least a post a day. This is the busiest time of the year for me, but i am pretty committed to not being the one slowing the group down, since I already did my fair share of that...

![]() |

I'll be out of town Tues - Friday. Not sure if I'll be able to post or not. Please feel free to DNPC :)
In the immortal words of Arnie.. "I'll be back!"

GM Beman, while I much prefer playing than GMing an adventure, I do enjoy both roles. If you want to play instead of GM in a module like we've been doing I'd be happy to GM something for the group. I'm not familiar enough with PFS to know what that adventure might be, but I'm betting someone around here knows or we could find out.
If you'd rather keep the reins that's 100% OK with me, but I wanted to let you know I'm willing to do some switching around if you'd like.

Sorry everyone.
I have been working, "sick," and sick of working. Lol.
Sorry for the long delay. Had some back issues I had to get worked out. I ws getting daily migraines. I'm all caught up now.

GM Beman |

That last battle is typically more chaotic but with the gillmen so low in initiative order combined with Mylvwara picking the Pathfinder artifact up prior to combat it made things a lot easier.
And that's all she wrote for First Steps....you've all graduated to 2nd level agents. I'll report the event and post character sheets before this weekend; and as alluded to in my last Gameplay post I will also hand out the Crystalhue Holiday boon that was just released yesterday. Needless to say your characters will be more than prepared for your next adventure!
And speaking of holidays...I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the Holiday Season; be merry and stay safe!
Until next time...

Praise the servers! I don't know about you guys but I've been locked out since yesterday. Phew. Glad that's over and hopefully it stays over!
Happy holidays everyone!

Happy Holidays everyone - Merry Christmas, Joyous Solstice, Happy Kwanzaa, and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year !!!

Brayden Green |

Orion doesn't remember the festival. All he knows is that he woke up with a hammering headache, next to a snoring woman that must be some kind of mix between troll and human, and running for the door faster than you can say "venereal disease."

![]() |

lmao... Happy New Year everyone!

Brayden Green |

Should I make a note of that condition on your chronicle sheet? LOL!!!
Happy New Year one and all!
Nope, he made his fort save, and had a higher INIT than the trollish woman. that combined with his higher movement rate sealed the escape.
Now if he could just make a Will save against the nearest bar, THAT would be something!

Day Job Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
In between trips to the bar Orion somehow manages to sober up enough to string a few guard duty jobs together, netting himself 5 gp in the process. (profession soldier)

Orion was told to be at the crossway of "Penney's Road" and "Farley Way" at midnight to receive a package for the Sczarni.
As he puts the flask back in his pocket, a shadowy figure approaches.
"Read the letter, but not until I'm gone." says the shadow
Orion reads the letter:
You have done me well so far, young finder. Hopefully this will keep you intact so that we can continue to do business for each other.
- Regards,
G.
Inside he finds what looks like a stick. Now... why in the hell would they want to give me a stick? he wonders holding it up in the pale moonlight. I'll have to ask Mylvie about it, she probably knows what to do with it.
