A 7ft-tall Half-Orc stomps over to the newest addition to Market Street. "I'm fine with competition, but setting up shop two stalls down is a bit much. At least go around the corner or something."
;-)

![]() |

The giant Half-Orc glares at Adanel and stomps away, tossing a small rock over his shoulder. When it hits the ground, it explodes with a loud BANG!
Thunderstones are fun. ;-)

Riggar |

Riggar calmly walks up to the commotion going on a few stalls down as he hears a loud and a human screamign at the top of his lungs. He views the hulking half-orc, [i]still as primal and dumb as ever. I guess centuries can't fix everything. The human seems okay...for now. So many people think they can outcraft a DWARF...I will show them the power of the forge and make my clan proud.
So, oh bulky one, what do you think you can craft so well?, looking up to the half-orc. Clearly not intimidated by his size.

![]() |

The Half-Orc gives a slightly sheepish grin. In a surprisingly cultured voice, he explains, "I'm sorry you had to witness that. Just some lowlife intruding on my turn. The name's 'HEY YOU'. I run the Alchemical Emporium a few stalls down. Cheapest prices in town!"

Riggar |

Cheapest in town huh, so they're free than? he says with a deep bass voice. Well, the name is Riggar, I am a smith. Whether you want armor, weapons, even alchemical goods, I can make it. I am a 3rd generation Forgemaster. I look forward to making my mark in this town.
Perhaps I was wrong about 'this' person, but as a whole the half-breeds I meet are less than cultured and down right rude.
Just remember, payback is a b~%%$, so you better watch yourself, as another deep laugh bursts out.
Riggar than heads back to his pitched tent.
I have a beautiful Four-Mirror Armor and Kikko Armor for sale. I learned how to crafts these from a man from the Tian Xia lands to the east. Took some convincing on my part but it was well worth it. The Four-Mirror is on sale for 40 gold coins and the Kikko is a steal at only for 25 gold pieces. I can also make anything you would like commissioned. Cost depends on what you want made. Discounts on bulk orders available..
I have +13 in craft arms/armor & +11 in craft alchemy. Will make items at 90% market value. (ie: if book lists cost at 100gp, you pay me 90 to get it)

Bob Slasher |

Bob stops by at Bartlebies shop after their latest adventure.
"Hey there kid. Good times we had back there eh? So, how much would 2 masterwork wakizashi blades, like the ones I have, but only better, cost your good old friend Bob?"

Bartleby Nutmeg |

"Hi Bob, great to see you. Unfortunately I have only honed my skills on crafting armor, not weaponry. I would check with Riggar down the street there. In due time I will be able to enchant those weapons, I just need a few more notches on my belt before I can harness the power required to enchant arms and armor."

Riggar |

Riggar is polishing his Four-Mirror Armor to a nice sheen. He hears steps near his tent and looks up with a smile, and in a deep voice,
Well how do you do sir? Ah well let me take a look at them, as he holds one in his hand. He flips it over, checks the edge, weight of the blade and other intricacies. After a few moments he looks back at the potential client, Nice blades you got here, and you want some nicer ones? I can do that for ya, give me a couple weeks and they will be fine crafted steel and sharper than a halfling's wit. The cost for materials by itself is 222 gold pieces. For the whole thing, I will charge 575 gold pieces. A great deal if you ask me, another might charge full price of near 700 gold piece for the pair. So, we have a deal?

Bartleby Nutmeg |

Riggar |

I can certainly agree to that, it will be half payment now and half upon completion. So one fine blade will cost ya 287 gold and 5 silver, he says extending his hand to confirm with a hearty shake.
presuming agreed upon...after materials cost that is 176.5 profit if I did my math right
Riggar, takes the down payment, and gets right to work. He fires up his bellows, starts to smelt the iron, and relishes in the smell of the forge. He pounds away at the metal, folding it over upon itself it seems like countless times. He takes special care in how he works the metal to give it a supremely sharp edge. After a weeks time, the blade is done, and he marvels at his craftsmanship. He adds a finishing touch of his makers mark, stamped at the base of the blade where it meets the leather hilt he had given it for better grip.
Its the small details that will set me apart from the others.
He awaits the mans return, waiting in both anticipation and anxiety for his thoughts.

Bob Slasher |

Bob returns and observes the blade, from tip to the hilt, noticing the stamp on the base. An evil-looking grin across his face.
"Yes, heh, very nice indeed, dwarf. Can't wait to try this baby. Here's 300 gold, I like the personalized look, heh. We'll keep in touch"
He leaves the money sack on the table, and as Riggar picks it up, when his look is raised again to where Bob was standing, there is no one there anymore.
Call me batman. 300 in total I gave u then, a little extra for the effort ;)

Leena Almadill |

Leena wanders around seeing if any other fellow studious spell casters who wouldnt mind sharing their spell knowledge. Suddenly some man muttering incoherently drops a sword. Leena picks it up and hears inside her headMy previous master did not want to play. We shall kill your enemies. It will be fun.

Riggar |

Riggar can't help but smile when the man seems pleased with the work. He happily takes the coin pouch, turns around to safely secure it away. He turns around, and the man is gone, like the wind.
Hmph, that was strange. I feel worried that a man can just disappear like that, oh well. He paid me above and beyond, I guess I can do this. Just gotta keep producing items like this.

Aeron Stillwater |

The Stillwater Fletchery
"If you seek the perfection that can only be found within the taut pull of a bowstring, then seek no further my friend. I can craft any standard bow you require, or for those of greater strength, I can also craft a composite bow with a heavier pull. My bows are of good make and cheaper than the other shops! If it is arrows you need, you will find no straighter arrow than mine.
Come see for yourself, I promise you will not be disappointed."
I can craft any standard bow or any Composite Bow with a +1 Strength rating without issue. I can attempt MW or higher strength rating bows with Craft rolls without too much issue! Also, all prices are 10% cheaper than standard prices. (Or less if you're a good negotiator...)

Hank Miller |

In a stupor, Hank strolls up to Adanel's shoppe. [b]"I'll take 3," he slurs setting down a purse heavy with Gold.
Adanel, I'd like to buy a potion of Magic Weapon (if you can make it) and a pair of random Potions. If you can't make Magic Weapon, I'll take 3 potions of the PCs choosing.

Hank Miller |

You can't. I'm more than happy to pay the extra for you to get a scroll and add the spell to your familiar.

Adanel |

Unfortunately Magic Weapon is not a Witch spell so Adanel would be unable to create such a thing. Although, I admit it is tempting to switch him over to Wizard now that I know that. Last I knew, we were allowed to switch anything up till the point that we play our second game. So give me a moment to access my options and I might go ahead and switch over.
Edit: Only tweaks after the first game so Witch it is. Kind of unfortunate to limit him as such, but it is what it is. He does have access to more spells now though so if you see something you want, I would be happy to add it to my list. Otherwise, I might go ahead and start up my second character than and make him a Universalist Wizard.

Riggar |

Special limited time offer. Buy 1 item at fair market value, get 2nd like item at 50% off. * Buy 2 items, get 3rd item free, minus materials cost and free item is least value item. **
* like item means weapon, armor/shield, alchemical; and cheaper of 2 items is 50% off ** means you pay materials cost for all 3 items, but the cheaper of all 3 is free
if my wording is confusing please let me know I will clarify. This sake goes on until I post otherwise, so get it while it lasts :)

Erlic Rondelmeyer |

Elric wanders into the Street with all the shops, til he finds a clear area on the sidewalk. There he lays out a blanket and a single pair of shiny bracers.
" Heya all you magic using types!!! Got some enchanted bracers here! Defensive bracers for the caster types who cannot wear armor
!!!"
Bracers of armor +1 800gp....OBO

Bubo Sraga |

A ratfolk clad in gear with a plague doctor's mask on his face approaches Bartleby's stall, somewhat amused by the colorful banners. He greets the owner before moving on to business.
"Bartleby, good to see you. I see you can create wondrous items. I'd like to have some Sleeves of Many Garments and a Traveler's Any-Tool made. It would make my work much easier. We can negotiate the prices later, yes?"
Disguise Self, one of the spells required to craft the sleeves, doesn't seem to be on the Cleric spell list. I doubt you have Major Creation for the Traveler's Any-Tool also. Still hoping you can make it though. :P

Bartleby Nutmeg |

"Indeed I can. These should be trivial for me to craft. I can have them done in a few days.
Not having the spell on my list only increases the DC by 5. Taking 10 I can make the items easily.

Jack, the Smith's son |

Jack wanders through the marketplace admiring everyone wares.
"Anyone good with making Armor? I'm learning myself but not too good yet.. I'm looking for a lightweight Chain Shirt and a nice new Buckler"
Looking for a Mithril Chain Shirt and a masterwork buckler. Jack is also willing to craft weapons for anyone he's adventured with at 75% of standard price. Taking 10 I now auto-succeed on making masterwork weapons

Riggar |

Weapon and armor are mah speciality lad. Lest my own da give me a swift kick in the arse. , I can make that for ya no problem, so long ye got the money for it course. Riggar mulls over the cost of materials and looks the man up and down. in case you hadn't heard I be running a special. You buy the special chain shirt at full price, you only pay half for the buckler, minus material cost of course. If acceptable to you, I will get started right away, I will even teach you a thing or two bout the forge if interested?
materials cost for a mithril chainshirt + buckler = 1100+155=1255/3= 418gp, 3sp on my end. You would pay a total of 1175 for both items if my math is correct

Riggar |

Never worked with cold iron before, it will be fun I think he says with a hearty laugh. So the masterwork cold iron cutlass + masterwork breastplate will cost ya a total of 875 gold pieces. Another might charge full price of nearly 1000 gold pieces for that special weapon and armor you're wanting. So, what say ye?
that assumes I did my math right, 630 for weapon + 350 fir armor? Mat cost =326.6gp so my net profit is 548.4

Kale "Seascum" |

If that's correct, I cannot afford it. But I'm pretty sure it's not correct. I think the cost for the weapon is (Cold Iron Cutlass) + Masterwork, not Cold Iron (MWK Cutlass). So 330 for weapon, 350 for armor. Mat cost = 226.67, which is about half what I have to spend. To maintain the same profit ratio you'd have to make 380.61, charging me 607.28, which I also cannot afford. I could afford just over 500gp. I may have to wait for another time.
Although if you can cut me a deal on the breastplate I might be able to afford the cutlass from Jack.
I'm leaning towards instead picking up some various potions and items others are selling instead of buying a MWK Breastplate.

Riggar |

Well, could I interest you in a suit of fine crafted four-mirror armor. It is just as good as breastplate, and cheaper ta boot
Four-mirror armor is 6/2/-5/45 lbs & 45gp----breastplate is 6/3/-4/30 lbs & 200gp for the basic stuff
You seem short on find there lad, so I tell ya what. I will make ya the special cutlass you're askin for, 200gp, but any lower than that and I am doing it for free. I would just love the chance to work with such a metal. So what ye say lad? as he extends his hand hoping to close the deal.
so mat cost for cutlass is 110, so 90 profit on my end, leaving you 300ish gp for other shopping?

Kale "Seascum" |

I did look at the Four-mirror armor. Looking to cut my ACP for Acrobatics.
Kale's lumpy face breaks into a grin. That's an offer I just can't refuse. He reaches into his belt pouch and counts out the gold. Here. Just let me know when to come and pick it up. Kale begins to walk away, but then stops. Say, I'm also looking for some more mundane items--10 Chakrams and a Guisarme. How much more would you ask if I paid you to make them instead of looking somewhere else?
--
I also want to buy 2 Potions of Cure Light Wounds from Adanel, and 1 Potion of Shield of Faith from the OP. We can roleplay all of that after I'm done with Riggar if you like.

Riggar |

Riggar, shakes hands with Kale and sets out to inquire about where to obtain cold iron, as well as how to properly smith with it. After a few days of tracking down a source, he calculates how much he would need, and buys a little extra just in case. Always be prepared he thought to himself.
He spent the next two-and-a-half months working carefully and diligently with the material. He took every precaution, and worked slow to ensure everything came out perfect. He shaped the blade to perfect edge, one Kale could be proud of. After refining the blade, he made sure the edge was sharp, sharp enough to cut through rigging or enemies. The last step was to create a hilt, worthy to hold the blade.
He found some semi-soft, but very durable leather from a stall a few down from his. After attaching it to the blade, and riveting it in place to ensure it was secure, he wondered if there were any small flourishes he might add to such an exquisite blade, then it hit him.
He search through his trunk, and found a sea foam green emerald, one of decent size that could be shaped to fit the bottom of the hilt. He took out his jewel cutting machine and hit to work, cutting a flawless cut emerald and he then affixed it to the bottom of the hilt.
------------
After sharpening the blade one last time, and applying his makers mark to the blade in his usual spot; right above the hilt and blade intersection, he sheathed the fine blade and searched out Kale.
Ah there you are lad, just finished a few moments ago. Here is yer finished product. It took extra, didn't want to flub nothin up. Even added a nice sea foam green accent to 'er, free o charge. Hopefully it meats yer expectations

Riggar |

Riggar shakes hands with Jack, takes half down for materials. He gets to work, by first finding mithril. After using the few contacts he has, and greasing a few palms for information, he finally finds a source of suitable mithril to use for the chain shirt. He fires up his forge, and starts smelting the necessary materials for the chain.
He asks around, how to work with the mithril. He spends nearly seven months working, forming, and shaping the mithril in small batches, into small rings. He then interlocks all the rings, and stamps his makers mark on the inside, near the bottom. He then steps back to marvel at the craftsmanship.
Well I'll be damned, it took forever...but I think I nearly outdid myself. I wonder if I will be able to work with anything else special or exotic? I wonder if I will get to work with adamantite one day, that was always my fathers dream?
After completed, Riggar will search around for Jack.
Aye boy, just finished yer fancy armor. It may have took some time, but well worth it if ya ask me. Here is the shield you commissioned as well

Yūrei |

Yurei enters Riggar's shop.
"I am in need of modifications to my equipment. I would like a shortbow designed to take advantage of my strength, and a chain shirt made of mithral. Can you do this? If so, what is the cost?"
Looking for a composite (+2) shortbow, and a standard mithral shirt
