He is also invisible.

Can i assume Devin hit my Contingency with a Heal Spell and that he cast Hero's Feast? Last time he prayed for spells he got 2 heals and a feast so its safe to say he would have that again right?
Special Abilities, Resistances, Weaknesses?
Before moving forwards Avoreal casts:
Extended Foresight(6 hours)
Extended Mass Fly(6 hours each for everyone)
Extended Communal Resist Energy(Fire 30)(1 hour, 12 mins each)
Extended Communal Resist Energy(Cold 30)(1 hour, 12 mins each)
Extended Heroism(6 hours)
Extended Mirror Image(36 mins) 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 8 images, 9 of her total.
Extended Shield(36 mins)
Before entering the Kurgan she casts Extended True Seeing(36 mins)

having had a blast flying around all day, but being leary of flying around at night, Duhwoo doffs the wings and switches back to his cloak when the sun sets.

at the entrance to the kurgan, Duhwoo pops out his wand o' Summon Monster II, and conjures a small elemental that will last 3 rounds. In Auran-ese, he tells it to fly ahead 100', then come back and tell him what it saw.

What you really need to do is make up some prop fairy wings he can strap on when you cast the group fly spell so he can feel authentic. I think monarch butterfly would suit him.

Avoreal is able to tell a few things about Wendigo. Mainly that it is capable of haunting your dreams and corrupt your thoughts by doing so, to howl to frighten creatures, and walk on winds. It is also the bearer of a curse named Wendigo's psychosis, which ails the mental sanity of its prey. As for elemental resistances, a Wendigo has none, but it is known to be vulnerable to fire.
Assuming you had heroes' feast and cast long-term buffs when you landed on the freezing steppes from Grandmother Cauldron, more than 24 hours have passed and most (if not all) buffs are long gone. Moreover, you are fatigued from your sleepless night.
As Vars inspects the entrance of the cave and the elemental is inside the cave (it won't come back, by the way), you hear the sound of heavy footsteps coming near you. Massive creatures armed with bows -taiga giants by the look of it- are mounted on dinosaur-like creatures of cyclopean dimensions. They attack from either side of the Kurgan.

I intended for Trotter to cast see invisibility as we were entering the kurgan so presumably that hasn't worn off. And detect scrying lasts for 24 hours so he puts it up again as soon as it runs out; I'll say he spent another spell recasting that one.
Trotter's luck kicks in as he thinks about the creatures.

After calling out what he knows, Trotter casts greater invisibility and takes out his pistol as he hides near the entrance to get out of the way of any trampling megafauna.

Vars will move to interpose himself between the cleric and the giants to the east, readying an action to attack one if it gets within his reach.

Vuvu begins his performance and Turns to the two attacks to the west and casts his new favorite spell.

Trotter tells his companions that there's little to know about the mounts, except that these giant Baluchitheriums, as they are called, are able to trample smaller creatures. As for the taiga giants, he quickly warns Vuvu that they are immune to Enchantment and Illusion spells. There is nothing else significant enough to be mentioned.
Vuvu can retcon if he so wishes.
Vars, you can already make an attack roll under a Ready Action spoiler, if you wish.

as a free action at the end of his round, he'll rage, activating Lunge, Power Attack, Reckless Abandon, Dazing Assault, and "Come and Get Me"...
if any of these creeps should happen to come in range and attack:

of course, that 4th AoO -- with a fabulous 19/20 combo -- will only occur if both mounted save vs the Vuvu-god, both foes charge, and both rider and mount attack -- then the 2nd mount will get a solid crit!

Yep, the short-term buffs are still there. As well as long-term buffs that you were able/willing to recast when the Kurgan came into view.
Trotter reveals what he knows and turns invisible.
Vars and Duhwoo position themselves in order to intercept any potential chargers.
Vuvu starts summoning another tribe of monkeys.
Avoreal casts a spell to slow the eastern giants and their mounts, but is too far from them for his spell to take effect. Slow has a range of close (65 feet for you), whereas the closest giant/mount is 100 feet away from you.

Vars, you're mistaken. One of the attacks hit you for 27 damage (natural 20).
Vuvu's herd of monkey races and swarms the first giant and hit gigantic mount. The latter attacks it as it moves within its threatened area.
AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 312d10 + 19 ⇒ (4, 10) + 19 = 33 Half damage because it's a swarm of tiny creatures, so 16 damage.
Fort (giant): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35 The giant isn't distracted!
Fort (mount): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25 Neither is his mount.
The monkeys fail at wresting the bow from the giant's hand.
Using the fervor to run faster, Vuvu reaches Duhwoo and teleports him a bit futher away. Duhwoo moves the remaning distance, incurring the two mounts' attack as he does so. Vuvu's spell teleported you 30 feet, so you need to move within range to attack. Since Cleave is a standard action, no problem with that. It's actually beneficial for you since you provoke from the mounts and can get those CAGM AoOs off.
AoO miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 45 Miss! The first baluchitherium (curse the scientist who didn't call them 'Bob' for simplicity's sake!) tries to stomp Duhwoo with his massive hooves, but the hillbilly has blinked away! That doesn't prevent him from striking back though.

The hillbilly tries to counterattack, but his timing is off and the blade blinks away before it reaches the primitive animal.
Trotter's pea shooter finds its mark twice! 28 damage taken.
Avoreal conjures a serpent made of sheer flames that incinerate the westward ambushers.

The westward giants aim their bows and shoot, the first at Avoreal, the second at Duhwoo. Thanks to his lunge reach, that one can reach the toes of the giants! ... and thus make his AoOs. They're on gargantuan-sized mounts, so reaching them seems dubious at best, but let's roll with it. Since your crit won't kill either giant in one blow, I'll let you pick which giant (or the westmost mount) you want to apply the AoO to.

With one perfectly-aimed blow, Vars brings down one of the giants! His mount remains there, angry at the warrior for killing its master.
Duhwoo, the second attack's confirmation roll should be at +26, not 36. Not that it changes anything, but still.
Duhwoo's first attack decapitates the giant that he had just impaled, then turns his wrath towards the other giant, whom he brings down in two strikes. One swing misses due to his blinking, but the last attack severs an artery of the westward giant's mount, which died moments later.
West: 2 giants killed, 1 mount killed, the last one already took 109 damage.
East: 1 giant killed, his mount barely scrateched, the other giant/mount pristine.
Initiative - round 3 - bold may act!
1. Devin (D), Avoreal, Duhwoo, Trotter, Vars, Vuvu
2. Taiga Giants

Trotter casts greater heroism and remains hidden, invisible.

I tend to forget that Duhwoo has <Cleaving Finish>, so he should get an extra attack when he fells a foe:
first AoO, with Dazing Assualt: 1d20 + 31 - 5 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 31 - 5 + 4 = 33
20% miss chance due to blinking: 1d100 ⇒ 34
if AC 33 hits, then 2d4 + 36 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 36 + 4 + (1) = 46 points of damage -- and another DC 26 Fort save...
since I only just found out I dropped any foes, I would like to apply the extra attack from Cleaving Finish after the beast gets chopped -- so the remaining beast might get some additional damage and Fort save...

Vuvu continues his performance and hits one with a Ki Shout DC 26 for half and no stun
not sure which one is down...but pick one that is wounded.

All four creatures on the west side of the battlefield are already dead Duhwoo, but that's good to know for next time.
Like for Avoreal, please check your spells and range. The spell has a range of close and you're 130 feet away from your closest enemy, whereas your spell's reach amounts to 65 feet. As for who's dead and who's alive, that's what the commentaries on the map are for. I expect you to know your spells at this level (I would allow a retcon at a lower level because you're still learning to play your character then), and to take at least enough time to post correctly. At this level of play, resolving one round's worth of actions takes me 1 hour to 1 hour and a half, so I don't think it's too much to ask to have you check the range, check the map, and move accordingly.
Vuvu aims a shout at the nearest target alive - the giantless mount. Unfortunately the newly-appointed god has made a mistake in appreciating the distance between him and his target, and the spell has no effect.
The giantless mount tries to trample Vars, rendered uncontrollable by its rider's untimely demise! Moving 40 feet toward the group and trampling Vars.
Vars, you can either make a DC 27 Reflex save for half damage, or take full damage and take an AoO against the mount, your choice.
Trample damage: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (6, 2) + 16 = 24
The last giant alive orders his mount to step back, then fires a volley at Vars.
Bow: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 122d6 + 18 ⇒ (2, 6) + 18 = 26
Bow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 192d6 + 18 ⇒ (6, 2) + 18 = 26
Bow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 182d6 + 18 ⇒ (5, 3) + 18 = 26
His mount stomps at Vars.
Hooves, PA: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 252d10 + 19 ⇒ (5, 3) + 19 = 27
Hooves, PA: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 322d10 + 19 ⇒ (9, 10) + 19 = 38
All misses!
Vars, you've taken 27+30+24=81 damage in this fight, please update your header.
Initiative - round 3 - bold may act!
1. Devin , Avoreal, Duhwoo, Trotter, Vars, Vuvu
2. Taiga Giants

Yea its no biggie I normally do count but i glanced at the map and figured it was good. I forgot they were huge critters not large..
Avoreal saves her spells as the other giants will not last much longer. She will delay to see if anything shows up to the fight.. If it doesn't she will pass her turn.

Vars will take the AOO instead of saving.
power attack, dazing assault
to hit: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (11) + 31 = 42 damage: 1d8 + 36 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 36 + (1) = 45 Needs a DC 27 fortitude save or be dazed for a round. I rather wonder if they would prevent the trample altogether if the save is failed.
He will step 5' east and attack the other giant.
power attack, dazing assault, staggering critical, blessing of fervor for extra attack

I don't understand the commentary dm. I looked at it and couldn't figure out who was standing and who wasn't. That is why I asked. I am looking at it now and there is no commentary showing up. Maybe that is because I am on a phone, I don't know. Fair enough on doing poor math and not being able to get there with a 40 foot move.

i have been playing with it on a computer for bit, I think i understand what comment is related to what...but honestly it was very confusing. Not me trying to ignore your work
Vuvu turns in visible again and moves toward the other end of the map

Trotter hops closer to the living mount and casts abundant ammunition on his pistol.

the hillbilly will drop out of rage, and start resting up, in case something comes out of the opening where his elemental didn't...
he'll also pull out his wand o' Cure Serious Wounds:
Cure Serious Wounds: 3d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) + 7 = 18
"Go get'em, Vars!"

![]() |

It's too bad that you can't see the commentaries on your phone, because they are updated with each creature's status, damage taken, etc. Nonetheless, the giant was way too far from you. No offense taken, just stating things in order for everyone to bring their A-game! ;)
Fort vs Dazing Assault: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 The baluchitherium resists Vars's dazing blow, and crushes him fiercely, but taking a hit in the process.
With four well-aimed swings, Vars kills the last taiga giant!
Devin flies closer to Vars, incurring the wrath of the gigantic animal. Based on RAW you should get an AoO coming your way Devin, but that would be utterly ridiculous and no making sense. These creatures actually don't have a bite attack, so their only attacks are hooves, and quite frankly I don't see how a diplodocus-like creature could hit something flying higher than it with its hooves.
The two remaining baluchitheriums trample the human that slew their masters... Vars!
Trample: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (1, 7) + 16 = 24
Trample: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (4, 10) + 16 = 30
As before, you can either take an AoO, or a DC 27 Ref save.
Initiative - round 4 - bold may act!
1. Devin , Avoreal, Duhwoo, Trotter, Vars, Vuvu
2. Two Baluchitherium mounts remaining

Vars will AOO again on the wounded one and dodge the other (he only gets one AOO). He's just not a passive sort.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 17 + 2 = 29
and then he will start with the wounded critter and transition to the other when it goes down (assuming the AOO didn't stop it).
power attack, dazing assault, inspire courage, heroism, BoF for extra attack
to hit: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (2) + 33 = 35 damage: 1d8 + 36 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 36 + (2) = 45

to hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (7) + 23 = 30 damage: 1d8 + 36 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 36 + (4) = 47

I took either 39 or 42 this round depending on which trample was which.

Vars, I'll consider that you AoOed the first one, then dodged the second one. You actually take 24+15=39 damage.
Vars strikes the first baluchitherium, but fails to daze it. Vars strikes it once more, and it falls to the ground, struck dead.
Vuvu shouts again, this time successfully.
Fort: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27 34 damage, no stun.
Trotter shoots at the last remaining mount, successfully hitting it twice. 31 damage

Was looking at the map wrong, imagined I was adjacent to both, but that's Devin. I will move to the other since I only got in one attack to drop it.
