As all the elementals bow before Vuvu, Vars nearly smashes one of them to bits. It is finished off by Avoreal's fireball, though, and whatever remained quickly melts. Devin makes divine fire rain onto the northern elementals, but they seem to dodge most of it. Duhwoo steps forward and lunges, but misses.

The elementals keep bowing down to Vuvu, adoring him as the new god of ice cubes!

Since the elementals are still bowing to their god and master, you guys can already take your round 2 actions. Trotter also has his round 1 action but I won't wait for him since he's travelling abroad.

Duhwoo, are you going through the rock wall? You'll need to make a move to get to the closest elemental.

Duhwoo moves to close on the elemental that Vars left almost destroyed, and finished the job.

Also, you can spare yourself rolling for your CAGM attacks since all the elementals are currently bowing to Vuvu, and they need a full-round action to attempt a re-save.

Wrapping up this fight as it's pretty much pointless to continue with elementals that have to roll a nat 20 on their Will saves to be able to act the following round.

The icy cavern extends to the north, but that way proves to be a dead end. Strangely enough, various items of equipment and supplies are stacked neatly on the floor as if someone expected to be returning here soon. Searching the gear reveals the group apparently consists of five individuals, at least one of whom is likely large. The equipment is mundane adventuring gear consisting of ropes, packs, food and water, and other assorted items that could come in handy but were left behind until they were needed. You recognize that some of the equipment is Irriseni in origin.

The eastern cavern is your only other way to go across these caverns. An icy ledge overlooks a rocky cavern filled with foul-smelling smoke. Barely visible through the haze, a jumble of broken stone and debris covers the floor.

The floor is considered difficult terrain due the treacherous rubble underfoot. The smoke obscures all sight beyond 5 feet and provides concealment to all creatures in the room. In addition, creatures who breathe the smoke must attempt a Fortitude save each round (DC 15, +1 per previous check) or spend that round coughing and choking.

Duhwoo has a Necklace of Adaptation on -- no need to include him in the Life Bubble spell.

While going through the packs staged here by a forgotten adventuring group, Duhwoo will eat some of the food -- always hungry!

upon entering the room to the east, Duhwoo follows the north wall; when he gets to the smoke, he just walks into the cloud without hesitation (although slowing down a little to pick his way through the detritus)...

I moved his token into the cloud on the map, but it disappeared under the cloud graphic...

The smoke clears, revealing gear lying on the floor of the cavern. Strangely enough, all of it is made of metal. More smoke appears to come from the eastern wall, where you discern it is coming out of a strange bottle - no doubt an eversmoking bottle. However, the smoke is slow to come back and won't impede your movement or breathing in any meaningful way. A rope is tied to one of the rocks on the ledge, allowing non-flyers to climb up the wall to reach the ledge.

But what draws your attention more than anything is an amorphous blob of violet energy that ripples like a globe of floating liquid. It periodically lashes out with tendrils of blue light, and seems keen on preying on you!

After reading into it a while ago, anything that makes an attack roll benefits from Inspire, just as rays etc benefit from point blank shot.

Vuvu, Vars chose not to tell about the sonic part so I don't see how Vuvu would not add discordant voice, especially since there are so many other elemental resistances. Let's keep metagaming off this game, shall we? The scenario is unchallenging enough for this group anyway, it's not like your survival was at stake.

Avoreal, I would appreciate if you divulged the information you gleaned in an In Character mode, not OOC.

Yes, Inspire adds to all attack rolls (including spells), but the damage bonus doesn't apply to spells, only weapon damage. By the way, Avoreal needs to come closer to the ooze, as she's currently out of range (the spell has a range of close, hence 25+40=65 feet). Keep in mind that every square is 15 feet by 15 feet, and that you have to make Bull Rush attempts after each blast, which might push it further into the room (possibly out of range for blasts #2 and #3). Seeing that Avoreal has superior intelligence, she would probably have thought about that, so please retcon accordingly.

Considering that everyone who uses a weapon, uses a slashing weapon, I can't really see that it is particularly important. So if we add sonic to the slashing, it doesn't change anything. Pretty much if you look at how it is defended, everything that can affect it (except force) will split it.

Sorry but i've have GM's hit me on 2 sentences of explanation saying there's limits to a free action when in combat.. Ill do better next time.. As far as Inspire goes why doesn't it add to damage? Point Blank shot does.. Forgot about the bull rush too actually.

My bad! After some research it appears you're right - rays (and thus the blast as well) do count as weapons. Link. This also means that discordant voice is added, provided that it's within 30 feet of you (as per spell description). Luckily for you, the ooze is further than than.

By the way your GM's right, there are limits to a free action in combat, so you should pick whatever information you choose to share. Succeeding on a Knowledge check doesn't mean you can always share all you know.

The mass of ooze is projected against the far wall by the sheer force of Avoreal's spell! It flies back towards Vars and emits a vibration that attracts Vars's armor and weapons! There aren't any further effects for now, though. However, the ooze fires 1d4 ⇒ 3 plasma rays at Vars, which all hurt him.
