Casting protection from evil from your wand is no problem if GM Lithrac is OK with it, Rogar.

Hoping that none of the creatures have quick reflexes in combat, Antonella double moves 60’ looking to threaten any spell-casting, create a distracting target and to put herself close to Stag if he needs healing.

“I love a good plan, Rogar. If you can take tie up the yeti, great! A spot where I can reach you if you need healing would be ideal - but watch out for multiple attacks.”

“Cally, PLEASE don’t get too close.”

Kalista is too rattled to identify the birdmen. Seeing her mentor lying there....

Her mind gets lost in thought, meeting Aram Zey, trying tirelessly to prove herself, her skill, her knowledge, finally gaining even some modicum of respect from his staunch stubborn ego...

Yes, my GM star boon was for Aram Zey on her character. Totally forgot I had it until just now, actually... So while I the player would prefer to not use her last 2nd lvl spell, it would make sense.

Filled with grief and rage, she throws her hand forward at the yeti, shooting out a blazing inferno at it to incinerate it where it stands! But her emotions interfere with her aim!

RTA vs Yeti: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 for 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 3) = 11
Really doubt that's gonna connect...

Very well then I'll deal with the yeti while you do the same with the birds and I'll make sure to post planning in character next, but I think it's important to point out how the ooc option is intended for such use

While Stag and Antonella move towards the birdmen Rogar decides to engage the yeti:"Listen to Antonella Kalli! Keep those birds in check but stay out of mr Fuzzy's reach, please!"

Power attack roll: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 30 -> Damage roll: 2d6 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (4, 6) + 16 + 1 = 27

@Rogar: The other players have pretty much nailed it, but I want to insist on the face that I heavily dislike players overthinking a situation and metagaming over it. Your character is in the middle of a fight, with rounds only lasting 6 seconds and limited capacity to talk to his companions (action economy wise), so please abide by the rules and do the talking in character, and act as your character would do, not as the player would. Thanks. Besides, you're already steamrolling this scenario as it is, it's not like you need any extra help.

As for buffing PfE before entering the room, I have no problem with it.

Stag reacts first, closing in on one of the birdmen and slaying him with a single swift strike. Antonella moves after him, taking advantage of the yeti still scratching its backside while groaning at the Pathfinders.

Kalista's reaction is both reckless and unexpected, but it also manages to surprise the yeti! A fiery ray surges from her fingers, incinerating the savage beast with uncanny easiness. It's FF touch AC for a large creature, so it does connect! Rogar delivers yet another mighty blow, almost killing the yeti outright.

The savage beast retaliates, clawing twice at the warrior.
Claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 201d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (3) = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 121d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + (3) = 10
Note that the second d6 is cold damage.

The birdman focuses, then commands Rogar to flee!
Defensive casting DC 17: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
DC 14 Will save or flee for one round.

“But beware of the dark side. Anger, fear, aggression; the dark side of Kama are they.”

With a swift blow, Stag ends the yeti's life! Meantime, Antonella strikes the birdman, almost knocking him unconscious. Seeing that his options are limited and his survivability unlikely, he prefers surrendering!

Out of combat! We'll still resolve the Will save, because it could incur an AoO from the yeti, though.

Once the strange creature - whom you understand comes from within the Tapestry itself and calls itself "Syrinx" - is restrained, you have ample time to enact the ritual described in the late Master of Spells' notes and close the portal. This takes 10 minutes.

However, Kalista's grief is profound as she's able to confirm that Aram Zey is indeed very much dead.

With an uncharacteristic glare, it's clear Kalista is not in any sort of state of mind to practice restraint. She takes a moment to survey his body and turns. "There is some necromantic magic lingering in his body. What diabolical plan had seized the Aspis' crazed imagination?"

She files it away and turns to the tapestry. Holding her hands out, she manipulates the very fibers of the magic within the tapestry together, following her mentor's instructions.

His ridicule and derision were a test to work under duress. He saw I could overcome. I will overcome now. For Zey.

Let me know if a check is needed. Didn't see one at a glance, and my table hasn't made it here yet.

"Necromancy you say? Weren't the serpents inside the Mausoleum doing some research on how to trap souls and the like? I'm by no means an expert on the matter but maybe they didn't just kill Zey... maybe they stole his very soul!" says Rogar after coming back from the staircase and giving Kalli a sad look.

Then considering how sad his companion looks he continues:"No matter. By the end of this day he'll be avenged, Kalli. And I'm sure the Ten will do whatever they can in order to bring him back from Pharasma's cold embrace! So maybe not everything is lost yet!"

Kalista:
There isn't one, but Kalista certainly understands that a powerful ritual has taken place here, and that the Master's soul is nowhere to be seen as a result.

Finally, you reach the hall where the Sky Key is supposedly held. This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock against the eastern wall ticks each passing second as its hands move erratically.

A ghostly image of a Pathfinder appears in the center of the room, where his likeness eerily begins to slide through the display case. His voice echoes as he speaks to an unseen party. “Oh no, they’ve stolen the Sky Key. It also appears they disrupted the auxiliary stabilizer, too.” He pauses before continuing. “Do you feel that? I feel kind of sick all of a sudden. I hope they didn’t try to disassemble it—or worse, bring it too close to the tapestry. Wasn’t that why Zey kept them so far—” The figure’s words go unfinished as he begins to scream and dissolve, fading from view in a matter of seconds. Three ghostlike creatures appear out of nowhere and seem bound to attack you.

According to the map Rogar is alone against one of the soulslivers so his bonus to damage and AC should apply

Twice. Down to 10 HP I think?

You're right, Stag! My count from last round was obviously wrong. Retcon is necessary then: the green one is slain from Stag's critical hit, then Kalista's arrow is aimed at the blue one.
Damage vs Tuna & Stag, Ref DC 12 halves: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Kalista's arrow hits? 1 is real: 1d5 ⇒ 2
Kalista's round 2 arrow hits the wrong one and pops an image. Also, Tuna disregard both attacks from the green on in my last post, please.

Round 3
Kalista shoots again at the sole survivor among the soulslivers, and finds the right image!
1 is real: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Antonella closes in and strikes once, popping an image.

Rogar swings, but his blow only manages to take one image off.
1 is real: 1d3 ⇒ 3

The sole sliver shifts slightly to fight with his back against the wall, striking Antonella twice.
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

"I bet you'll run out of images before I run out of swings..." Rogar laughs and slashes again but this time he fails to connect.

Weird. I posted via Wayfinder but it didn't take. Oh well, we got all of the Es to Green, so that is good.

Stag rushes over to take down the last soulsliver as an alert goes out that the Floating Tower has been cleared for exploration. "Let's wrap it up now!" he bellows as Rogar takes a swing.

Stag avoids the shower of glass with ease, taking only minor cuts from the explosion.

GM Lithrac:

As Antonella didn’t take any more damage last round, is it OK if we retcon she didn’t use her Lay on Hands as well?

Reflex DC 12: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Antonella shrugs off most of the flying glass, holding her ground to give the soulsliver a little sisterly advice.

“Safety first, dude. You should totally have a ‘Fragile: Treat like Eggs’ label on your forehead.”

Act IV post to come.

After recovering from your wounds (feel free to use your healing supplies in your next post if you so wish), your steps lead you to Arliss Hall. There, Kreighton Shaine finishes giving instructions to one team before sending them into Arliss Hall and turning to greet the new arrivals. “Ah, you received my message?” he asks eagerly while pulling out a small notepad and making a single tally mark. “Excellent, I was uncertain whether recent events might block communication as well. We have a theory that the northwest tower’s new floating status may be the result of the Sky Key and Hao Jin Tapestry coming too close to one another, much like two extradimensional spaces placed inside one another. Thus far, all of our more conventional attempts to reach the tower have been repelled, and admittedly the whole thing could just rocket into the Irorium any minute.” He squints to the north before adding, “That would be unfortunate, as there’s a rather big match over there today. Best we take control of the tower before it misbehaves further.

“The good news is that we have a permanent portal to that section of the tower. Since the link is between two objects—a pair of full-length mirrors—it should be stable and safe to use. The only catch is that one of the mirrors is inside Arliss Hall. The hall has several extradimensional properties, and with so many visitors, it’s been changing its internal layout constantly. Rather than waste time sending you to figure out a puzzle, I’ll lead you to the portal myself. We venture-captains are fairly used to it.”

As Pathfinders, you know some basic information about Arliss Hall. Its passageways are known to shift in strange ways, and it often seems larger inside that it should from the outside. The majority of the rooms inside are modest but tasteful apartments that venture-captains (and maybe even the Decemvirate) use as personal apartments. Kreighton Shaine opens the door for you and follows you inside; however, when you turn around, the elf has disappeared.

“Of all the luck,” the Master of Scrolls voice echoes from thin air. “We must have exceeded some capacity limit for this version of the hall and it moved me over to another… iteration of itself. I’ll try to find my way over to you, but look for the mirror! It is in a private room that is reserved. We call it the Lost Room. The chamber will be hidden in plain sight but there’s always some sort of trick to find it. Hurry and I’ll try to join you soon! One last thing—rarely can anyone find the Lost Room alone, so work together!”

Since this part is a puzzle, I'll obviously ask those who have read the scenario to refrain from helping solve it.

After a search in the main hall:
There is a guest registry near the entrance, identifying which rooms are available. Currently the registry lists nine rooms, including both room 8 and “room 8A”, even though no such room appears to exist. Room 8 is currently registered to the Pathfinder agent Osprey, while Room 8A is marked “Reserved— do not use.” At the top of the page are words written in delicate penmanship and red ink. “Arliss Hall values your privacy. Simply lock your door and we will see to it that you are not disturbed.”

I have read the scenario, so Stag will provide witty banter!

Stag leaps onto the over-stuffed sofa near the fire place, basking in the warmth from the crackling logs. "Ah... A perfect place for a nap. Is it the Guild-mandated break time, yet?" he asks of Tuna. "The old fogey has disappeared. Must mean Arliss Hall wanted us to rest for the big, upcoming battle that is surely to be told about in epics for millenia." Stag says with a smile as he reclines.

Kalista (with an Int score so high she knows all about what's about to happen =P ) bats Stag's boots off the recliner. "Aram Zey is dead. The Aspis have the Sky Key AND the Tapestry. The bloody tower is floating! And you want to rest?!" Her tone calms significantly. "Is this why it takes so long to collect on your bounties?"

Silver Crusade

“Paladins don’t do ‘Guild-mandated break times’ even when there’s NO work to do, Stag.”

Antonella frowns. “I seem to remember a certain Bounty Hunter whining about how slack a number of his fellow agents were earlier.”

“With your two left feet, don’t make me challenge you to a Dance Off, Bold Strider.”

EDIT: Forgot the Reflex Save ...

Reflex DC 12: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

So it’s just you and me solving the problem, Rogar? Excellent. I wouldn’t want it any other way : þ

Initial thoughts are a mirror placed along a wall of one of the apartments, reflecting a real room to create an illusory room somehow. Need to give this some thought …

Yep Antonella... Rogar has a perfectly average QI so he's qualified to solve any kind of complicated puzzles... RIGHT??? -___-'' ;P

Reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Knowing what happens when he smashes the mirrorman Rogar is able to avoid the worst of the shard's explosion, receiving only a couple of minor cuts, later healed by Antonella. And he makes sure to thank his companion profusely:"Dear Antonella, once again I'm in your debt... If you are in need of something and it's in my power to provide it, just say it and I'll make sure to satisfy your wish!" says the taldan warrior.

Once inside Arliss Hall Rogar doesn't seem particularly keen on the task at hand but tries to give the others his insight anyway:"Weeeeell... I suspect the key of the enigma lies in finding where this room 8A is..."

Any checks we can try to improve our situation?
