Sweet!
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 8
I don't wear shoes!

GM Ilmakis |

Ananta sees a pale, magical light, radiating from the air itself, that shines throughout a pillared hall. A balustraded walkway surrounds the upper floor of the two-story area. Passages lead from either side on both the upper and lower levels, as well as from entranceways at each end of the hall.
No one seems present.

![]() |

Quarr comes in behind Anata. A sharp whistle emanates from his mouth. "This just got fancy. Should we try this first hallway?"

![]() |

"This suits Drax, small one," Drax says in answer to Quarr. The big man strides alongside the gnome, glaring up at the second story as if expecting enemies to appear at any second.
"They are probably hiding like the cowards they are! More archers maybe. DRAX DOES NOT FEAR YOU. Come and die on Drax's blade with SOME honor!"

GM Ilmakis |

As soon as Quarr and Drax moves in, several figures appears from the shadows !

AC 23 with raging/defensive flurry

GM Ilmakis |

You only have one action (move or standard) as it's a surprise round. May be for this round you prefer not to enter rage?

![]() |

My bad, missed the surprise. Alright, reasonable suggestion, won't enter rage and will just take the first/single attack, which would only be an 18 to hit. The AC will wash the same, no defensive flurry but no rage either.

GM Ilmakis |

Drax moves toward the closest ennemy and in one mighty swing almost cut in half the man !
The wounded ennemy take a 5ft. step behind a pillar and draw a potion while his comrades jump to attack Drax and Quarr or moves to be in position to do so.

I will try to update the game ASAP but goblins continues to eat my post or stop me to post when I could...

GM Ilmakis |

Again, sorry for the delay. It seems the forum are better now :)
Hope: 8d20 ⇒ (7, 1, 5, 1, 18, 2, 6, 17) = 57
After of few seconds of fury, most of the defending monks lay dead or bleeding to death. For the sake of PbP I shortened this fight
Round 5 (bold may act)
Drax
Ananta -15HP
Quarr -1HP
Conrad
Ennemies
The two remaining monk flew toward the central corridor.
All the other monks on the map are dead or bleeding only the two on the back are still alive

![]() |

"COWARDS! Drax roars at the fleeing monks. "Do we go after them? We have the scroll of fly if you will make me fly, Konrad!"
Welcome back. Just double-checking, by 'the monks flew' you mean they are actually flying in air, or is that just 'retreating'? I might have Drax switch to ranged, or he might try to jump if they're under a certain altitude. With haste up he's pretty good at jumping. So are they flying off the ground, and if so, how high?

![]() |

Hey, that's what I double-checked! In that case:
Drax realizes his foes are actually still on the ground. Laughing uproariously, the big man gives chase-- he is fleet of foot normally (base move 45'), and with the haste up, he has no trouble reaching the slower of the two monks. He lashes out with a single kukri.
"Running will not save you! You have hunted others like cowards in the dark! Now Drax hunts you!"
Kukri, rage, haste: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 2 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19

GM Ilmakis |

This time, the monk is quicker than Drax and he dodges the blow that could have killed him !
Dalavei be blessed! he says in a quick prayer.
Round 5 (bold may act)
Drax
Ananta -15HP
Quarr -1HP
Conrad
Ennemies

![]() |

Quarr's wings unfold and he takes to the air after Drax. "Wait for us big guy! They could be leading you into a trap!"
Fly and move.

![]() |

With haste up and a free charge lane, Konrad can charge to the enemies
"AHA! Save some for me, Drax!"
Konrad bounds down the hallway, charging straight for the retreating foe.
Charge Attack with +1 Adamantine Earthbreaker (haste, symbol of pain): 1d20 + 12 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 12 + 1 - 4 = 23

Round 6 (bold may act)
Drax
Ananta -4HP
Quarr -1HP

I will update the map tonight (european time)

![]() |

Flapping his wings Quarr follow the monk with a fiery red bomb in his hand.
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37
Catching up with the monk he hurls the bomb down on the man.
Explosive Bomb Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 26
damage: 5d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 5, 5) + 5 + 1 = 25

GM Ilmakis |

@Quarr you know that the monk have deflect arrows and can avoid a direct hit.
@Drax & all, your character can follow Quarr

![]() |

Would the splash still get him though?

![]() |

"If the cowards run, let us stop and proceed like we are smart and not stupid," Drax grunts, coming to a stop and becoming surprisingly calm.
Suggest we regroup, consider hit points, etc. I have a potion of invisibility if we want me, or maybe Quarr, to try and scout?

![]() |

Quarr stops in midair before slowly floating back to Drax. He has a confused look on his face. "You alright big guy? We could have got him!"

![]() |

Ananta, hustling behind the faster members of the group, finally catches up. "Doessss anyone need healing? Otherwise, if we mussst press on, I sssstill have ssssome abilitiess, posssssibly enough for one minor fight, but I worry about a major one."

![]() |

"I think we are alright. Let's move on before they set up another ambush." Quarr suggests.

![]() |

"I did not wish to leave Ananta behind us," Drax points out, nodding at the snake-man's words. "Also this is tiring work, chasing cowards."
If no one objects I'd spend a minute waiting out post-rage fatigue, but if we want to keep going without that minute, works for me.

![]() |

I totally agree with Drax
"Ve should be careful. They may be trying to lure us into a trap."

![]() |

Sounds fine!

GM Ilmakis |

After a short rest the Pathfinder are ready to go.
I let you use your wands if needed
Where will they go ? Following the last monk or trying to explore other part of the temple ?

![]() |

"Should we follow the monk or go a different route?" Quarr looks up to Drax.

![]() |

"Perhapsssss there is wisdom in chasssing your opponent while he is hurt. But such wisdom sssshould be tempered by our ssssssight. Anyway, let usss follow him as Draxxxxx wantsss" opines Ananta.

![]() |

Quarr nods and draws a pair of bombs, following the wounded monk. "So be it."
