Drax pokes around, wrinkling his nose at some of the things he finds. "....elf woman, do you desire more arrows?" he grunts, holding up a handful of the same.

The little quills and paper earn another scowl from him but they look valuable, and the coins look very valuable, so he bundles up the whole lot.

The papers, now-- Drax squints at them, but he has a hard enough time reading in common.

"Where is that intrepreter!"

"My humblessst apologies. I lossst track of her when the fighting erupted" offers Ananta, as he delicately reaches for Quarr.

After a short bit Quarr regains control of himself as he returns to his normal jubilant demeanor. Shaking his head his body regains its composure.

leaping back up he frowns at all the smoke, fire and destroyed building. Frowning he begins to scold Drax. Wiggling his finger around the big man's chest.

Ya gotta be careful. We can't be destroying innocent buildings all around town. What will people think?

Throwing his arms in the air he walks off bewildered.

Sorry i havent been on much this week. I had a family emergence and forgot to take my surface when i left in a rush. Im really sorry!

Assem hightailed it out of there once the fighting started. Hopefully, he ran back to the guest house. Otherwise, you may need to search out a new interpreter once the rough stuff is over.

So, what's the plan? You've only explored about half of the mill at this point. The only other obvious path is a side door off of the main milling floor.

"If I may offer a humble ssssuggestion to our coursse of action." offers Ananta who again plants himself firm on the ground. "Onccce I am done healing my wounds, perhaps we could search the remainder of this mill, before our opponentsss come back to burn it to the ground."

About 3 minutes later, Ananta will himself head towards the unexplored side door.

Konrad climbs back down to the floor, the wooden crates and rafters creaking under his weight. He cracks his neck and back once he reaches the floor.

"Ve should move on ahead to make sure that this place is completely clear before ve spend too much time standing around."

Quarr clears his throat as his head clears. Ah..hmm..Yes..Yes Lets head there. he reloads his crossbow and heads to the set of double doors to teh west.

Drax gives a long stare at the gnome at his scolding, then grumpily moves towards the next door as well. He looks it over perfunctorily for trouble.

Seeing no traps, Drax wrenches open the door-- or tries to.

@Ananta, assuming your companions wait, you can heal up as much as you are able.

Drax throws open the door to find the spinning and dyeing room. Large dye vats and reels of drying silk fill this area. At the north (right) end of the room, a large trough sits on a long charcoal bed. The place reeks with an acrid chemical odor.

Please arrange yourselves on the map. And everyone make a perception check.

Ananta, feeling reinvigorated, gives thanks to the Master of Masters before stepping up towards the door. "Anything of interesssssst? To you or any of usss, Drax of Belzken. And Master Quarr, if I may asssk that you do not stray far."

Quarr looks up from below Ananta. He waves his stubby arms up at the nagaji. "I am right here!" He sqeals with glee, leaping up and down.

Drax takes a wary step inside, kukris drawn, scanning above and around.

The party does not notice anything out of the ordinary. There is a set of double doors on the east wall.

Quarr moves ahead to the next set of double doors. He does a quick scan for any traps before opening them.

Ananta moves up behind the impetuous gnome, a hand on the pommel of his sword.

Drax stalks up next to Quarr, kukris drawn, ready for what comes next. As soon as Quarr has finished his inspection, he shoves the door open.

Drax open the door giving way to another room. Wooden shelves stacked with trays of cocoons and cases of silkworms feeding on mulberry leaves fill this room. A skylight in the middle of the ceiling lls the room with dim ambient light.

The room seems empty.

Quarr squints his eyes in the dim light. Quickly he smacks his hand against Drax's bare arm.

"Someone's behind the bookcases over there!" He points in the direction and draws his crossbow.

Ananta's tongue flicks out in surprise but otherwise nods and moves besides Quarr. "In the name of the Massster of Massssstersss, please show yoursssself."

After Ananta's words something hiss somewhere inside the room.

From nowhere appears a strange creature with a powerful, sinuous body of a snake-like monstrosity crown by a sharp-featured humanoid head just after a short arcanic incantation who finishes with a big "Zap".

The two "hidden" men moves quickly towards Drax and Quarr, trying to punch them.

You hear casting on the other room, the sound seems to come from the attic above the unexplored room.

Ananta trips over Quarr, taking the full blast of the bolt to the face. Luckily, his armor seems to have weathered the brunt of it. Sighing again, he channels the power of Irori to close all wounds, choosing to omit the creature and both men.

Everybody heal 8, I heal 11 and take 10 more from Konrad and Drax. Ananta proceeds to lay on hands again.

Ananta: if your channel goes off before the life link, then I'm only down to -2 and life link doesn't trigger for me, I think?

Drax grins appreciatively at Konrad's words, then snarls in irritation at seeing multiple cowardly arrows rain down at Ananta.

"Leave the giver of 'tonglen' unhurt, cowards, or I shall remove the intestines from each of you! And I will enjoy it!" Drax yells up at the rafters, and runs in past the shelves to circle around and join Konrad in slaying the serpentine spellcaster.

Drax should be full HP, just for the record. Ananta's life link took 5 damage from him and then Ananta channeled for 8, wiping out his ten damage. :) Also, the snake guy stepped back from Konrad but it's not shown on the map yet-- I'm moving Drax adjacent to him/it at where he logically would be. Double move, going along the northern wall past the shelves, then south to come on the back side of the snake-person. If snake-guy is indeed in his current map position, then Drax would move one closer to be adjacent.

@Drax you're right ! If you can move the snake guy that's cool because I can't from my phone.
