You make it back to the market without any bother. What is your next course of action?
GM Aerondor
|
That sounds like a knowledge check - pick local, geography or history - your choice.
Theodore~
|
Theodore will ask Zeeva Hello again, Zeeva. We talked to Telmayne Fire-Eyes and found out there is a shrine to someone named Galdron Greenheart, who was a Shoanti Shaman. It was likely his spirit that lashed out at us when the situation with the Aspis became tense. The shrine is buried underneath the Green Market. We must find his shrine if we are to put his spirit to rest. Would you happen to have any idea where this shrine could be located?
Lini and Droogami
|
Unsure if we are under any time pressure as long as there is no more violence in the market... We could rest. Some of my long term buffs like Barkskin are now gone.
Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
GM Aerondor
|
"I'm not too sure.. says Zeeta. But she does wander off to find you some shovels. While Zeeta isn't too sure someone in the party knows a bit more.
Well, Narad had met this guy in a tavern on the way to the market from the ship. It was an important stop, right, to get directions to the Green Market. While there he leaned that the market was built right over a grave! The joke was that half way between the bananas and the apples was the shamans bones.
Map updated with a big X.
Narad, Rogue
|
LOL! Thanks, GM! :)
"Uh, guys? Do you think the story we heard about the grave between the apples and bananas might be true? At the very least, it's a convenient coincidence."
"And here I thought that guy was just telling a tall tale."
Theodore~
|
It's as good a lead as any, considering we don't have any others...
Zeeva, hope you don't mind. We will get to the...bottom...of this.
Theodore takes a swig of beer.
Lini makes a good point. Are we in a hurry?
Narad, Rogue
|
Lini makes a good point. Are we in a hurry?
"I don't know much about restless spirits. Do you think there's a possibility of another violent outburst--like the vegetable thing--before tomorrow morning?"
"Also... Is there someplace safe we can stay without any worry about Aspis shenanigans? Are they really going to leave Zeeva and the marketplace alone?"
Lini and Droogami
|
Knowing that resting would make her more formidable Lini listens for this answer.
GM Aerondor
|
"It happened once..." mentions Zeeta.
"I really don't want it to happen again. I just want this over and the market back to its peaceful state. But when vendors wares jump into the air to make a 12' tall monsters... I don't think anyone will be coming to shop."
Corisan
|
"Well if we waited a day, I might could try my wand again tomorrow - but has been woke up perhaps we should rest nearby so if the untoward happened we would be there. Pwrhapwesleep in green market?
Corian says.
GM Aerondor
|
Almost in tears Zeeta cries out. "I don't know. This has been a horrible day. Maybe I should just have sold the market."
I guess technically there is nothing to stop you resting now, but if the market comes awake again while you are asleep in it, it might be uncomfortable for you - unless you are sleeping in armor. Zeeta shows no signs of wanting to leave, so if you rest outside the market she won't be protected. My guess is the scenario assumes you will go straight into the digging. Most PF scenarios are built around no rest between acts. End of the day the call is the party's.
Lini and Droogami
|
while I'd rather rest I am good without rest. On the other hand Lini is fine sleeping here. :)
Amina Tuncay
|
"Yes, the risk of harm from another attack is too great. We should proceed now."
GM Aerondor
|
I'll take that as a go-ahead
The team starts to dig. While Zeeta provides some equipment the process is slow and arduous. After a number 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 of hours, you uncover an old altar.
Digging further, below it you find a bare human skeleton. The remains of a rusted spear head penetrate the skeleton's chest and ribs, with a rotted wooden spear haft still attached.
Feel free to arrange yourself on the map around the dig site. when you are happy with where you are, let me know who starts to place the spear heads.
Theodore~
|
Theodore takes a swig of beer. Phew! That was a lot of digging. I suggest getting ready. There's no telling what Galdron's spirit has in store for us this time. Maybe a snake made of bananas! Zeeva, I think it's best that you stand back and maybe tell the customers and stall keepers to do the same. Theodore is assuming that there are customers and stall keepers here. If not, he will just tell Zeeva to stand back.
Theodore will cast Longstrider on himself, and will wait for others to prepare.
Later, after people have prepared. Who wants to do the honors?
Amina Tuncay
|
I'll go for it.
Taking a moment to use her mage armor wand on herself (and Droogami, presumably), Amina steps forward.
"Time to grant this poor soul the rest he deserves."
Amina will take the klars, and do her best to recreate the ritual as described.
Any sort of check involved?
Narad, Rogue
|
First, while Amina casts spells, the rogue will take a look around the immediate area to make sure nothing is going to blow up in anyone's face while they arrange the items.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 (+2 for 34 vs traps)
Then, Narad takes a couple of steps back. (Moved on map.) He takes out two of the three vines from the fruit monster and holds one in each hand. The third is at the ready at his waist/belt.
Finally, he makes ready to throw a vine at an obvious enemy at the first sign of trouble.
Lini and Droogami
|
Lini thanks Amaina for the charge of Mage Armor for Droogami and asks the her scroll of mage armor be used on her. She stations the cat far enough back to be out of trouble if anything bad happens but not so far back that he cannot be there in a move action to assist. She also strongly recommends that Zeeta hang back with the cat.
GM Aerondor
|
No sort of check involved.
As Amina places the first of the Klar several odd creatures burrow out of the ground and attack! They appear to be made of gemstones, but shaped more or less like scorpions.

Scorpion-like crystals? Gonna take a stab at a Knowledge check. It's the only knowledge I have so might as well try it.

Move Action
Theodore pulls out his wand of Bless.
Standard Action
He waves around his wand of Bless, activating it. Including our party and Zeeva in this.
BLESS IS UP!
FYI, Theodore has his buckler and wand out. He currently does not threaten for a flank.
GM Aerondor
|
Theodore recognizes the creatures as Crysmals. Earth elementals they are immune to fire.
Narad, Rogue
|
"Crysmals, you say? Never heard of 'em. How should we fight 'em?"
I have a club and the vines. Beyond that, I don't think I can hurt/impede these elementals. I could also flank and aid another with someone.
Lini and Droogami
|
I cannot see where you rolled initiative for Lini, but since you rolled so high for the baddies they are likely to beat me. Also the pink creature seems to be between two squares.
GM Aerondor

Lini is the line with no name, I stuffed up the dice tag. she actually got a 19; Pink is fixed to be clearly on one square. It has been a couple of days since Siddharha has posted so I'll delay her and move onto the creatures as I'll be away over the weekend.
It has been a number of hours since you first arrived, so most of your buff spells have probably worn off. Please double check your status lines.

Theodore takes a step back from the Crysmals. Movement noted on map.
Move Action
He puts away his Wand of Bless.
Standard Action
Theodore will channel magic power through his holy symbol, saying a quick devotion to Cayden Cailean as he casts Prayer. Oh Cayden, bless my allies while crippling my foes. No save, but SR applies. It is mind-affecting also. 40 ft. radius.
PRAYER IS UP IN ADDITION TO BLESS! It simultaneously boosts allies and cripples enemies. And yes, it stacks with Bless.
TL;DR: +1 to attacks, damage, saves, and skill checks, and -1 to all those for enemies.
Lini and Droogami
|
Stats in status bar fixed. And I think you owe Lini some more damage as that 20 certainly confirmed.
Lini, unhappy to be the target of this creature 5' steps back and heals herself with her wand. As she steps back she gives a quick whistle and Droogami sprints into action, moving forward and biting at the nearest enemy.

Droogami just manages to get a good bite on the crystal creatures. But they don't bleed, he is one confused cat. When he tries to knock it over, it doesn't fall over either. Silly non fleshy thing. Then after tottering for a moment it crashes to the ground unmoving.

Seoni sends lightning down, hitting two of the creatures that were conveniently lined up for her. It doesn't hurt them as much as she thinks is should.

Corisan then steps back and hits one with her heavy weapon. Again it is not as effective as she would expect.

There is no way you can get Green and another one without also getting a party member with Glitterdust. You can get Pink and Blue through, so I'll go with that
Glimmering light shimmers around, reflecting off the crystalline creatures. Wow, they look amazing. However it doesn't seem to have significantly hurt their attacks.
Not that you really need to know why, but they have Tremorsence
Corisan's display of prowess is pretty impressive however and seems to have unnerved them a little.
We'll forget about them being blind, there was probably some heavy foot stomping going on in that display.
