[Raging Swan Press]: Swallowfeld's Final Free Web Enhancement

Product Discussion

What Ho All,

Just a note to let you all know that Raging Swan Press have released the final web enhancement for Swallowfeld. The enhancement comprises all the NPC illustrations presented in Swallowfeld and is completely free of charge.

About Swallowfeld
A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game supplement for PCs level 1-5 by Creighton Broadhurst

The village of Swallowfeld stands hard against the turbulent waters of the Lonely Coast and the forbidding depths of a trackless, primeval forest. A hard, frontier place hemmed in by danger without and threatened by a lurking darkness within the village is in dire need of doughty protectors.

Swallowfeld presents detailed information on village life as well as ten locations and twelve NPCs of note. A GM can use the village as the perfect base from which neophyte adventurers can explore the surrounding area or as a waystop on the road to adventure. Although Swallowfeld’s default location is The Lonely Coast (a free 30-page, extensively bookmarked PDF available from ragingswan.com) it is easy to include in any GM’s campaign.

Swallowfeld is available for download for $4.50 from the Paizo store and Your Games Now at the great price of $4.50. To learn more about this extensively bookmarked, 37-page PDF check out Raging Swan’s website where you’ll find two free web previews ready for immediate download. The first preview provides an overview of the village while the second presents details on several locations and NPCs of note. For every copy of Swallowfeld sold before the end of June, Raging Swan Press will donate £1 to Help our Heroes (a UK-based charity dedicated to helping members of Britain's armed forces injured in Afghanistan and Iraq.)

Nice charity. I am glad to see others who do nice stuff for the guys in the nasty places.

Downloaded "The Lonely Coast" free pdf and have been glossing over it. This is a very well put together product.

I would recommend any PF DMs download this, it has a very classic D&D feel and even the environs could be dropped in part or total into Golarion, Greyhawk or the Forgotten Realms.
Actually feels like an early FR or Greyhawk product. Excellent work guys.

Swallowfeld has been ordered!

Edit: and Retribution!

I absolutely agree. Whatever you view of the wars in Iraq and Afganistan you have to respect the men and women out there fighting for us. This is just a small way of saying thank you.

Thanks Auxmaulous! I'm very glad you like our stuff. I'd be keen to get any feedback you might have as these are our first products. Given that my favourite campaign world is Greyhawk, I'm glad you think they have an early GH vibe!

I am going through "Retribution" right now - probably will run it as a prequel to the start of my Kingmaker campaign. That is how strongly I feel about the product.

I think "Swallowfeld" and "The Lonely Coast" are both excellent products which can each stand on their own.

TBH I am a little disappointed that more DMs haven't checked out "The Lonely Coast" and commented here as it's a free pdf with a format and setup that is 100% DM friendly and well written. As a matter of fact the format used to setup travel times is brilliant aid for new and old DMs, so are many other features and detail you have placed in this gem of an environ write up.

Once I am done with "Retribution" I will give each item a separate review. So far - top notch.
As I said earlier I am getting an old GH with a touch of the early (and fun) Saltmarsh/UK mod tag feel in a dedicated Pathfinder writeup.

My only regret is that I bought the pdfs, I didn't really look too hard for a printed product but I will be buying it from amazon ASAP.
The charity is a classy touch - again, nice work guys.

Wow! Thanks a bunch! I'm very glad that you've enjoyed all three of my products. I'm also very glad that you enjoyed the format and think its DM friendly - we worked very hard to include the kind of information a DM needs and to cut out all the information he doesn't!

Getting an old GH vibe is also awesome. Greyhawk is my most favourite setting and I think subconciously everything I write I design so that I could add it to my own campaign. One of my chums ran me through the Saltmarsh series last year (and I survived) so it is perfectly possible that some of that experience rubbed off (particularly on Swallowfeld). If you liked those modules, you should defintely check out UK5 When a Star Falls - one of the greatest AD&D modules in my book.

Thanks for offering to review the products - I'm most definitely appreciate that.
