In this week's session the party heads to the east to see what lies out on the plains and are attacked by a succession of dangerous, flying opponents. Check out all session here!

Following on from last week's 20th set of cool words, I've posted another set. You can read them here.

It's been a year since I set up Raging Swan Press. As part of planning the upcoming year, I took a long, hard look back at 2010/2011. I discuss my findings and set some goals in Raging Swan's first State of the Swan. You can check it out here.

If anyone's got suggestions for the year ahead or feedback on 2010 I'd be more than keen to hear it. I can be reached at gatekeeper [at] ragingswan [dot] com.

We've had another session of our ongoing Kingmaker campaign, which didn't go well for the party. The session (and the previous one) also featured our first 49-round combat and a death among our intrepid heroes! Check out all the crazy events here!

I've just released my 20th list of cool words for gamers! You can read them here.

Just a quick note to let you know that Raging Swan Press has just released the eighth instalment of its Tribes line,Half-Goblins of the Tangled Woods. Following on from Bleached Skull Gnolls, Hobgoblins of the Mailed Fist, Brethren of the Crimson Altar, Pazuzu's Fury, Kobolds of the Fallen Halls, Troglodytes of the Tentacled One and Lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang, Half-Goblins of the Tangled Wood is designed for the Lonely Coast mini-campaign setting but can be easily adapted to a GM's home campaign.

About Half-Goblins of the Tangled Wood
A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game compatible TRIBES supplement by Creighton Broadhurst

Debased, mongrel descendants of humans enslaved by goblins centuries ago, half-goblins lurk in the deepest unknowable reaches of the Tangled Wood. Hateful and spiteful creatures, they worship fell powers and sacrifice those falling into their clutches to venerate their dark protector. Stealthy and cunning, they skulk about civilisation?s fringe weaving terrible plots to destroy those threatening their precarious existence.

Half-Goblins of the Tangled Wood includes:

Five new feats
Two new spells
Four new magic items used by powerful tribal members
16 stat blocks (ranging in CR from 1/2 - 9)
Details of the race?s fell lord, Braal (NE god of hate, malice and revenge)

You can learn more here.

Half-Goblins of the Tangled Wood is available from e23, Paizo, RPG Drivethru, RPGNow and Your Games Now.

Finally, a reminder that Half-Goblins of the Tangled Wood is included in Raging Swan's Free PDFs promotion.

On the other hand, you have to give up gaming due to this... just send all your terrain and minis and gaming stuff this way. ;-)

Curses. I hadn't foreseen that...

The images of such disaster are disconcerting and truly frightening.

I wish tragedies like this could do at least one good thing and remember (or teach) politicians and other "power-wielding" people all over the world the true reasons why they must do their job good, rather than always thinking of their own patethic interests.

May the dead rest in peace and may the survivors have the strength and opportunity of returning to a life as good as possible.

RPG Now are doing a fundraising drive - you can donate from their main page and I'm having trouble thinking of a better cause.

Here is the link.

Jon Brazer Enterprises would like to sign this statement and give a whole hearted "Thank You!" to Paizo as well.

I'll add my thanks to those of the other 3PPs. I'm thrilled to be able to produce Pathfinder compatible gaming materials under such a flexible and friendly license agreement. It's a great buzz to produce stuff that other people like and enjoy and I'm pretty sure without Pathfinder this would be much harder to accomplish.

7) Full Adventures: I want the opposite of the Adventure Path. The Adventure Paths are written with 6 or more modules as a single campaign that can be used as stand alone adventures. I want a bunch of stand alone adventures with ideas on how they may work as part of an ongoing campaign. If you write adventures for all levels of play, you can use other adventures as hooks for each other. This allows me, ad the GM, to pick and choose how my campaign is going to turn out based on what the players and I want.

Raging Swan Press (or which I am the owner [full disclosure!]) has released two full adventures designed to easily drop into a GM's personal campaign. Retribution is for 1st-level PCs and the great start to a campaign. Road of the Dead is for 3rd-level PCs and features a rather unique self-contained dungeon crawl. Finally, if drug-addled lizardfolk are more to your taste, you should definitely check out Dark Oak (which releases later this month).

Raging Swan, you need to game more so I can read more about your games :)

More games = more posts.

Well I already game twice a week! I'm not sure the wife would be happy with three times a week!

Our most recent session log is up! Sadly, this week the PCs did not have it all their own way. We've had our first death and at the end of the session, the PCs are in a very precarious position...

Read all about it here!

It certainly seems that Rivers Rum Red is way more dangerous than Stolen Lands!

More cool words! Get them while they're hot!

This week's Kingmaker session is now up. We've started Rivers Run Red and the PCs have started their explorations of the southern wilderness. Read all about it here!

Wow! Did they just grow too fast? That had to have been some brutal rolls.

They had some really bad luck which all seemd to come at the same time. Everything was going along fine until the rumours of trolls hit, That wasn't too bad, but failing to control the plague cost them dearly (that combined with very high rolls to see how it influenced their treasury and unrest). It was a bit of a perfect storm. Luckily, Ratik is giving them one more try!

I just wanted to chime in and cheer you on. I'm really enjoying the recaps of your sessions.

Thanks very much, we are all enjoying the campaign. I also find the blogs very useful in gathering my thoughts for upcoming sessions. I find it helps me keep focused on the campaign and not forget all the minutia of NPC names, minor quests started and so on.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they cope with building and running a kingdom!

In this week's session, the PCs defeat the hated Stag Lord and win for themselves a kingdom...

Just a quick note to let you know that Raging Swan Press has just released the seventh instalment of its Tribes line,Lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang. Following on from Bleached Skull Gnolls, Hobgoblins of the Mailed Fist, Brethren of the Crimson Altar, Pazuzu’s Fury, Kobolds of the Fallen Halls and Troglodytes of the Tentacled One Lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang presents a tribe driven by the ambition of its lizard king ruler.

About Lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang
A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game compatible TRIBES supplement by Marc Radle

Deep in the heart of a forbidding swamp, the lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang beat the drums of war. Lead by Sesskarr the Great, a mighty and charismatic lizard king with a tyrant's heart and a black dragon's blood, the Dragon Fang is aggressively expanding beyond their traditional tribal boundaries. Tribes of kobolds and troglodytes have all fallen beneath Sesskarr’s great, magical trident and now – even more ominously – his reptilian gaze has shifted to the surrounding towns and villages.
Lizardfolk of the Dragon Fang includes four new feats, four new spells, three new magic items and thirteen stat blocks (ranging in CR from 1–11 and including full write-ups of four of the most powerful tribe’s members).

I was actually intrigued! I'm not aware of any British army units receiving bazookas. I thought it was straight from the BOYS ATR to the PIAT and was wondering if that was a conversion or if someone actually produced the miniature. Also did you cast up all the terrain yourself?

The terrain is by Dwarven Forge. They create truly awesome dungeon terrain. You should check out their website to see more layouts and such like.
