"If we use the one here in the bath, they might just assume we're still in our rooms, using the one outside might be too obvious if they notice we ain't headed back in after a while."

If they currently don't have the door locked Lynn would watch for any other people before ducking into the room. Upon seeing the letter she ponders opening it, before deciding yes she could. She casts prestidigitation on the envelope warming it enough that she could safely remove the seal without breaking it. Opening the letter she reads it before folding it neatly back and replacing it, using a prestidigitation spell to rewarm the package and make the wax seal adhere to it once more. Taking quick note of the outfit nearby she nods to herself 'might be useful later' before moving to leave.

She would quickly move out of the room and down to the main room to join the others for food reporting whatever she may have found. Making extra sure that no one sees her intrusion. She would sit at the table after retrieving her own hearty dish, leaving a moderate few silver coins on the nearest surface as payment. "Trap doors all abound, we may be able to enter both. Some of you going to check on the ship crew, would be a good excuse for a late return. Meanwhile the others use the one in our room... which makes me suspicious we should probably double check over our room before we end the night. Make sure there aren't any other rude surprises in store for us."

Marius raises an eyebrow at Agirann, who is filthy and covered in hay and some fresh bruises. "I was enjoying being clean, not smelling like the horses you went to examine." he retorts with a snort. "Have been wrestling one? Looks like you got kicked in the face! Though with your face it is hard to tell I suppose."

Finishing off his hair and fastening a circlet to his brow to keep it clear, Marius checks the edge on his blade before getting up. He felt much better and was ready to get this done. "I am happy to head to either door, though I agree if we slipto the bathroom one by one it may be better than the stables. The doors may not lead to the same place."

Sulmoro lets loose a hearty laugh at the comment from Marius. He claps him in the back as he says "Would you like us to give you two some privacy?"

Sulmoro checks his gear and ensures his blade is ready.

"We shouldn't split up unless completely necessary but if it comes to that I can accompany Agirann. He is skilled with his weapon plus he makes me look even more handsome by comparison!" he smiles at Agirann eager to put his blade to use on whatever attention he draws.

Bathroom unless the part is actually going to split otherwise I will go to the stables with Agirann.

The Pathfinders decide to check out the plumbing beneath the bathtub.

A wooden ladder descends from above into this cluttered and dimly lit L-shaped room. Crates and bits of furniture are stacked against brick walls and oaken doors lie to the east and south.

The walls of this subterranean area are made of brick, the floors hard packed dirt and stones.

I help Stripes down the ladder, as it isn't meant for a 4 legged cat. Once down I unsling my quarterstaff from my back. I quickly cast Light on my weapon to offer plenty of light for the area. I give the area a complete once over, hoping to garner some clues as to what way to go.

I check the floor to see if there are any footprints in the dust or something along those lines to see if either door is traveled more frequently.

Agirran doubles down on the light effects by ensorcelling the exposed head of the handaxe at his hip. He moves over to the eastern door.

"If we thing this hidey hole connects up with the other, it's probably through here."

Lynn takes time to fully check out their room given how odd it was to have a trap door in their bathing chamber finding the lock-bypass she called to the others before they all descended. "Does anyone know how to disable such a thing so that the innkeepers might not interrupt our peaceful 'sleeping'?"

Afterwards once that was dealt with she'd slide down the stairs after her allies noting how the lighting sources were already deal with. "We don't know what all is down here so we should be very careful, might not be just our room that has a secret entrance." She hadn't drawn a weapon yet and instead kept a lookout ahead.

Selmy follows his companions down through the trapdoor, his sight adjusting from black and white to full color as Ironleaf and Agirran light up the small room they are in.

"Lynn isn't wrong, but I ain't the type to be fixin' locks. What I can do is wander on ahead. I got no problem seein' in the dark and I can be quiet as a mouse if I need to be."

Selmy moves toward the door Agirran pointed out and inspects it for any traps or locks.

The Pathfinders continue their exploration of the rooms, but notice nothing new about this room. The door to the east is locked and cannot be opened. They go through the door to the south and continue on.

This unremarkable room is bare and featureless, save for a few faint bloodstains on the oor. The northwestern and eastern doors are unlocked as far as you can tell.

I put my ears up to both the northwestern and eastern doors to determine if I can hear anything from the other side, to get get a sense of what door to open.

"Well, that ain't good." Selmy whispers, pointing toward the blood stains on the floor. "Should probably be prepared for a fight, I think."

He frowns, looking for any more signs of a scuffle.

Do the bloodstains lead to either of the two doors? If they do, Selmy will open whichever door they lead to.

The Pathfinders notice the blood stains do not lead to a door. You have the feeling the blood is not from an animal. At the northern door you hear the faintest sound of metal clanging together.

Leaving Curze in the bathroom, after locking the door behind them, Marius orders his companion to stay on guard before climbing down the ladders and into the strange complex. "Well, I can guess we can rule out the Sister's being innocent..." he mutters as the light brings the room into focus. Drawing his greatsword and holding it loosely, Marius strides into the next room and examines the bloodstains, trying to work out more from their colouring and how long they had been there.

"We need not worry about being flanked. With no one able to lock the doors behind us I will make sure we are protected." Sulmoro states as he follows down the ladder last. When he reaches the bottom he ensure his blade is ready to strike and looks around.

Lynn pulled her rapier free and followed the others since no one knew how to disable the lock tamper in their room she guessed they were in far too deep now. "I have a strange feeling that the sisters are not the only ones we may find in these tunnels. Be careful."

She stuck right next to Selmy as they continued forward.

Ill take it you want to go in the door everyone was standing by. That's where I'll update from.

This area is bare save for a rickety side table and chair set against the north wall. A set of keys lies on the table, alongside a browned, half-eaten apple, stale crust of bread, and dull paring knife. Ironbound oaken doors lie on the eastern and western walls, and a door-lined corridor stretches to the south. The surface of the table is carved with swirls and chipped grooves incised by an untrained hand. The keychain has eight blackened keys on it.

Perception DC14:

On the table you see the name Rosh carved on it.

Perception DC20:

You notice a loose brick on the north wall. There is a box inside. Upon opening it you see several locks of hair and a vial of blood.

Perception DC28:

You see a hidden door on the right side of the corridor. Thanks to a layer of undisturbed dust and a thin veneer of daub like that used to seal cracks in the nearby wall, the secret door is especially well hidden though the dust and daub fall away easily when the door is opened.

Sulmoro looks around after following the group in and attempting to close the door after it was kicked open.

"Well isn't this just a cheery place." he states glumly while walking down the corridor with his hand ready to unsheathe his sword.

Agirran snatches up the keys and idly tosses them over his shoulder to whomever posts in to catch them.

Selmy spends so much time staring at the mundane items on the table, looking for clues, that he misses all the obvious things.

"Oh, yeah, they might be helpful!" He nods approvingly toward the keys. "Let's see what's in these room, yeah?"

Following Agirran and his powerful rage against the door, Marius chucklea as he takes in their gloomy surroundings. Spying the desk, the Hunter begins to search around for any other clues, the spirals might show something or they might juat be aimlessly scratchings from a bored simpleton.

The Pathfinders explore the rooms.
These are the rooms with red lines in them.
The door to this jail cell has a small window at eye level, blocked by three vertical iron bars. Matted straw is strewn across the floor, and a set of manacles hangs a affixed to the wall opposite the entrance. Two buckets sit at the center of this dank prison. These cells are vacant although the doors are still locked.

These are the 3 rooms without red lines.
These cells are identical to those Empty cells, but each contains a single dwarf wearing nothing but underclothes who is bound to the wall with manacles. They are bruised and poorly fed, giving each the exhausted condition due to malnourishment and dehydration.

One of the doors calls out,"Let is out, hurry. I have heard nasty gargling speech in the jail corridor at times, as well as a wet, sliding sound, like a mop being dragged back and forth across a floor. Please, let us out!"

The doors are still locked. The keys open them.

Entering the room behind the others Lynn joined them in their search around the place. perc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

"We may want to guard the entrances while another works. I'm not that good of a fighter so i'll get the cells."
Lynn sheathed her weapon and held her hand out for the key ring. If they were given she would get to work quickly on the doors, "Do you know of any traps?"

Standing by the Southern door, with their greatsword drawn and waiting for trouble, Marius turns to Lynn as she begins to work with the locked cells. Lynm was busy at work unlocking the cell doora when something caught her eye a miscolored brick that lay slightly out of the wall she moved over and plucked it from the masonry after she had opened the first cell. Seeing the small chest inside she looked wide eyed and brought it over to the doors. "Think we may want to take and destroy these later. Someone seems to keep backup incase of escapies."

She secured the box and tossed it into her pack before going back to the cell locks sifting through the keyring.

As the Pathfinders begin opening the cells the cause of the mop sound become evident. A trap door in the hallway opens up and two lemurs run out.

Selmy:

The least of devilkind, lemures roil forth from the ranks of souls damned to Hell, shapeless masses of quivering flesh. What spark of instinct or memory lingers on within a lemure’s semi-consciousness regularly shapes its features to mimic those of its tormentors or the tortured souls around it. Grotesque and useless, a lemure’s features speak nothing of what it once was. Many exhibit multiple terrible visages or are nothing more than churning pillars of cancerous flesh. Only their knobby, flailing limbs work as they should, and those they merely use to destroy any non-infernal life that draws too near. Moving lemures typically congeal in forms over 4 feet tall and weigh upward of 200 pounds, though when at rest these disgusting fiends often appear to be little more than lumps of melted flesh and malformed features.
They are immune to fire, poison and mind-affecting effects.

Lynn tried to dodge backwards away from the approaching thing as it neared, but ended up getting slashed in the arm and falling onto her rump. She nearly dropped the keys but held onto them for dear life as those were the only things getting these dwarves out without some heavy work. She started chanting a small series of lines from one of her texts empowering those around her.
