Oh right regarding true strike. Good call.
Tallwun
|
Tallwun moves up and hurls his last Magic Stone at the scaly monster.
I'm assuming the downed Two-Blades does not provide cover, and part of the drake is ten feet away from the nearest allied creature, so it's not considered to be in melee. So I'm rolling a flat attack, if you rule it has cover, take 4 off.
Magic Stone: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Looks like I missed anyway. Done.
GM Paladin
|
Correct, he doesn't have cover and isn't in melee. Since Tallwun has darkvision, no concealment either. That isn't a touch attack, is it? It would hit if it were.
| Ietsuna Amiri |
Amiri moves into the area of darkness, sword drawn and swinging.

Two Blades, since Prison said that she healed you, you can act, since I think that brings you up to consciousness.
GM Paladin

I got rid of the glitterdust circle since I think it was confusing folks. I'm going to move forward here and if Two Blades wants to include any action, put it in a spoiler and we'll retcon it.
The dark grey box indicates everything within it is in darkness. The exception is the light grey box, which is in dim light for those having low-light vision.
The dragon roars and strikes out angrily, missing Amiri several times but managing to hit her twice. 23 damage to Amiri. She hears some shuffling within the darkness, and a small, sharp blade smeared with a dark substance, wielded by an ebon hand, slashes out, but completely misses the Barbarian.
All PCs are up, except for Seoni who is still unconscious, but stable.

| Ietsuna Amiri |
After being raked quite handily from the darkness Amiri moves away, hoping to wait out the darkness.
Two Blades in the Shadows
|
Finding himself awake and on the ground, Two Blades grabbed for his weapons and rolled out of the way to get some cover.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Not sure if I can grab both of my weapons but I want to get out of the way in case it decides to breath
GM Paladin
|
You certainly can do that, Two Blades. That's your action from last turn. Now you can take whatever action you want for this turn as well.
Prisim
|
"Glowing blessed brightness!" Shouts Prisim, touching Daeron as she does so. He suddenly feels a little more robust.
Resist acid/10
She then tries to dragon Seoni around the corner from the dragon.
I'm guessing that dragging someone is a move action, and she is only dragging her 5', just to get out of any potential breath weapon area. Let me know if that is not okay
GM Paladin
|
Generally, dragging someone is a standard action by using the drag combat maneuver. However, I'll let you do it as a move action if you can make a strength check of DC 10.
Prisim
|
hahahahhah
STR: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10
Calling on the image of her good friend Polly, Prisim heaves with all her slight strength to try and move the unconscious sorceress. Finally, sweating in a most undignified manner, she gets her sister-in-the-arts around the corner.
Tallwun
|
"Don't worry friends, I won't abandon you when the situation is only this bad. You can trust me, I'm an honest merchant."
Tallwun moves in, but instead of going straight for the winged creature, he opts to stop by the strange dark humanoid. Seeing its weapon, Tallwun tries to grab it.
Move action to move in, standard action to use Improved Disarm.
Disarm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
If successful, since I used no weapon, I take what he drops.
Daeron Woodblood

Daeron moves unable to move my character from my phone next to Amiri and with Tallwun's aid he shoots blindly where his comrade tell him where the dragon have landed.

GM Paladin

Tallwun successfully takes a small-sized kukri from the dark folk.
Tallwun, if you want to use it you can, but it's the wrong size for you and I don't think you're proficient.
Daeron's arrow misses.
GM Paladin
|
"How kind to present yourself so readily for my talons, groundling," the dragon hisses at Tallwun. He sinks his razor-sharp teeth into the oread's chest, causing massive damage. The monk manages, despite this wound, to dodge the dragon's claws, but one of the wings bludgeons him over the head and knocks him into unconsciousness. 29 damage to Tallwun, unless you have some means of avoiding an attack (the rolls that hit were 28 and 25). This will put him, if my math is right, at -9. Feel free to correct me if the numbers in your status line are incorrect.
Daeron can see Tallwun taking mortal damage in the sliver of dim light he can see in the darkness, and also sees a small hand picking up the kukri he drops when he goes down. Everyone else simply hears a sickening crunch.
"Ugh! Tastes like dwarf. I hate dwarf," the dragon complains.
"Would you like me to dispatch him for you, Skeshhnil?" comes a reedy, unctuous voice from the gloom.
"Later. I have questions for these fools. Please take them alive if reasonably convenient."
All PCs except for Seoni and Tallwun may act. Tallwun needs to make a stabilization roll unless someone heals him.

| Ietsuna Amiri |
Amiri reaches into her pack and draws out a potion. Potion of cure moderate . She uncorks and drinks it.
Cure Moderate: 2d8 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5) + 1 = 9
Wow, just wow
GM Paladin
|
Cure Mod is a minimum caster level of 3, so take 2 more, Amiri.
Prisim
|
Prisim, aware that things were going south, also knew she had to get Seoni onto her feet.
Taking out her healing wand, she taps the sorceress quickly.
UMD: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
"Radiant healing light!"
GM Paladin
|
That ought to do it, Prisim. Seoni is healed and conscious, and can act now.
Two Blades, just wanted to make sure of something -- you don't seem to have Channel Energy listed in your profile, but your character ought to have it from your one level of Cleric.
GM Paladin
|
You can go now. We're not really enforcing initiative order in PbP because it results in delays.
Daeron Woodblood
|
Daeron moves while putting out his own wand and heal Tallwun with it.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
At least he will survive.
We can discuss mighty Skeshhnil! he says not wanting to finish like the Oread.
GM Paladin
|
"You're the one who shot me with an arrow, elf!" the dragon snarls.
GM Paladin
|
That will put Tallwun exactly at 0. Tallwun, you can act if you want, but keep in mind you're disabled at 0.
GM Paladin
|
OK, the Dark folk will think you're still unconscious if you don't move or act, and will try to move in a way that happens to make itself vulnerable to you. If you want to take an attack of opportunity, you can do so, although that will count as a strenuous act and cause you to take 1 damage.
The dragon flies into the air above Tallwun and hovers there, rearing back, and with a roar spews forth another cone of acid on the three unfortunate pathfinders in the hallway. DC 18 reflex save for Two-blades, Amiri, and Daeron. Two-blades gets a +2 cover bonus because of the corner. Failure results in 23 Acid damage, success in 11, unless you have evasion.
Exactly what the dark folk will do depends in part on how effective the breath weapon is, so please roll your checks, and I'll continue with the enemies' turns.

Amiri indicates the dark shadows at the end of the hallway with a toss of her head.

"Celestial blessings of resilience" she whispers to her fellow sorceress.

She steps slightly sideways to see the rest of the group while considering her choices. "I think we need to get out of here."
GM Paladin

The dragon seems a little disappointed that its second blast of acid didn't bring anyone down.
All PCs may act, except Prisim who posted an action already. Tallwun needs to roll another stabilization roll, just DC 11 this time.
| Ietsuna Amiri |
Amiri will move up to the Darkspawn, enter a rage and swing for the fences.

| Seoni / lucklesshero pregen lv4 |
Thank you Prism, between your healing and The Grace of Two Blade's God, I'm ready to join the fight again.Seoni moves back up the stairs and cast Scorching ray at the partially obscured Dragon. ray: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 dmg: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 5) = 14 | I am back! You fowl Drake! Let some light shine on your ugly darkness! Says Seoni, as her Ray strikes the Dragon. I assume it has the same +2 (or even +4) cover bonus; as Daeron has at the angle I'm at; however a 19 is good enough to hit even a 15 touch ac with a cover bonus...so I'm assuming this hit.
Seoni then takes a breath before shouting, Two Blades! Call on the Gods to favor us with more healing !
GM Paladin
|
The dragon is in dim light, so Seoni needs to roll for a 20% miss chance, and if successful, a caster level check to overcome spell resistance.
GM Paladin
|
Hey hey, lucky!
Skeshnil howls in pain as Seoni's fire blast engulfs him briefly.

Skeshnil snaps at Two-blades with his sharp teeth. The dragon's massive fangs sink into the Cleric, injuring him badly. 15 points of damage to Two-blades. If I'm tracking things right, that should put Two-blades down again. He made the save against the breath, so he took 11 points of damage, then healed 2, and now 15 should put him at -4. If I've got that wrong, let me know.
(Assuming Two-blades falls) Skeshnil then flies over his body to trap Amiri in between himself and the dark slayer. Tallwun, you can take an attack of opportunity against the dragon as it flies away from you if you want.
The dark slayer takes advantage of this, sheathing his hand in darkness and then reaching out to grab hold of Amiri's arm. The darkness swells and wraps itself around her, attacking her very soul. This spell is Inflict Moderate Wounds, with sneak attack and other bonuses to damage. Amiri needs to make a DC 14 fortitude save. If she fails, 22 damage, otherwise 11. If for any reason the dragon is not able to get over to here, the damage will be 14 and 7, respectively.
