It has been a slow posting week for us. I would like for us to really pick up our pace this coming week. My goal is for us to get to Feramon's farmstead in the next few weeks of posting.

@All: Know Bynoth is acting somewhat cold hearted here - attempting to us Perri as comabt bait to lure the dogs in, but figured as a war-priest of Hextor it makes for a sound strategem (albeit one that is somewhat unfeeling to Perri's current state of mind, body and soul).

For my part, yesterday wasn't an option. I left work early, came home, had a shower, and went to bed. I got up with my alarm clock this morning, about 13 hours later. Didn't eat after breakfast yesterday, and only had half of my lunch today so far. Trying to decide if I want anything for dinner or not.

Oh, and the more I think about it, the more likely it is Perri's going to play Bynoth's game right now. It seems to fit the storyline about the near-possessions and hallucinations too well not to.

Sometimes cooperative storytelling takes a character down an unexpected path . . ..

No problem. I am in the middle of spring break and skiing with the family. I get back to the house Thursday. Internet up here is very spotty....especially with all the snow we are getting.

I am fighting with really bad internet service these past few days on the mountain. Usually, service is good but this trip has been horrible. Even the cell service is having issues due to the poor weather and large amount of skiers at the resort.

I am heading home Thursday morning.

Home now. I will have some posts up tomorrow for us.

@All: Just to be clear - as a player I'm not advocating ending Perri's suffering, but figured that for a clinical thinker like Bynoth - having a "demonically plague infected" member of the party might invoke such a solution being mooted. :)

I will be traveling until next Sunday. I will have my laptop and phone with me so my ability to post will not be infringed...but since I am traveling into another country I will be limited in when I can post. It is not that much money for the international phone plan but we are only using it for emergencies. I will be able to post when we get to the hotel and log in on the laptop. I feel like we are getting stuck in the mud some what and some of that is my fault. I am going to work on posting every day this week and next so lets try and push the story forward :)

Part of the fun of this is letting you wing it. I will post "suggestions" via posts like I am doing now. The "natural possession of entities" is being handled like afflictions. I have not posted the rules/progression as I want this initial possession encounter to be a mystery that each of you has to figure out. Magical Possession (through spells) is simpler and easier but the natural possession (or supernatural) of an entity is more complex and has permanent consequences. You are doing a fine job :)

I was tied up all weekend with soccer and baseball as well as a long list of home projects. I got on last night to post and was exhausted... I will have several posts up today for us.

Just a heads up. Friday I am driving my youngest to Houston for a baseball tournament for the weekend. I will have my laptop but posting will be slow Friday.

Still dealing with - Possession Among Us.

I would really like for us in the next few weeks to try and keep a 3 to 5 posts a week minimum up to build up some momentum back up in this adventure. We have lost a little momentum due to all of us slow posting...real life is what it is and I totally understand has it has caught me as well lately. If we can it will help move our story along a bit. I might bot a few of you at times to keep our story going. We are at point that we are going to be moving from the cabin into the entry into the swamp... If that is the course of action you still intend on taking.

During this period survival skills will become very important to the group. The ability to move, keep on the right path, and avoid dangers you can't overcome will be important.

I will try and be better example for us so expect me to up my posting over the next few days :)

Been a weird couple of days. Was at work from about 0700 Sunday morning to 0100 Monday, then from about 0700 to 1700 Monday. I just collapsed when I got home last night. My apologies. And, of course, tonight is Scout meeting night . . ..

Looks like we're just getting to the point where we're ready to make a call about moving or staying put for our healer to heal himself.

FYI: In the interest of keeping things moving, Thanim is continuing to try to come up with something to purge Perri, but so far, he has nothing. Though he is considering escorting Perri to the city for help beyond that which he can personally provide, he would refuse to approach/enter the city knowing that he is a vector, himself.

My wife gave birth to a baby boy yesterday! He came two months early. Mom and baby are well. Expect some delays in the near-term before I can catch up. Please bot me as needed.

Tazo reached out to me a few days ago giving me heads up of his forthcoming new addition. He is planning on pulling backs on his games he is involved in and this will be one of those games. With the early arrival I am sure that timeline has been pushed up as well.

I asked if it would be alright if we had someone could take over Maja instead of replacing her and I got the green light to do that.

What I would like to do is see if there is anyone you know that you would like to join the game (recommendation) and take over an already existing character. I would add that if they want to tweak Maja a little I don't see a problem with that as long as the core character/background stays in place. If not I will put out a recruitment for someone to step in and take over the character. I will keep Tazo in the loop as well until he decides to fully back out of the game. I would really like to find some one that can push us all on posting rate. I would really like to get this game's momentum up bit to match my other game going on...

@Tazo: 2 of my (currently) 3 grandchildren were preemies. The eldest right around the same as yours.

Hopefully, you'll be spending a lot of time at the hospital. Modern medicine makes the odds of a healthy, happy child really good at this point. Follow the instructions they give you, but bond with the child. This may not be how you wanted to spend the first weeks of the child's life, but very little goes the way you want with children anyway.

Enjoy the time. There will always be things to stress over and worry about. Learn to enjoy being with the child despite that now, and your life will be far more joyous and full as time goes on.

NONE of these games can ever be as important as a child, but especially not YOUR child.

My oldest was a preemie...he is now 5'9" and 12 years old and wears a size 10 shoe. He was a little guy when he was born...so much so we called "Bug"...he was 7 weeks early. My wife's water broke while we were at the lake house to our surprise. We had to go to the County Hospital which had to dust off its ultrasound machine and replace the batteries (worrisome)...so we opted to move her to our doctor's hospital, a 2-hour trip. The first ambulance's accelerator broke so we had to stop at a truck stop...so yes our child was almost born at a Texas Truck Stop in the middle of nowhere (My wife was not happy). Thankfully a second ambulance got her to our hospital and he was born. We still call him Bug...my wife still has issues with truck stops :)

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and kind words, especially for the stories of their own children! Everything has been going well thus far, despite our baby boy's early arrival. It'll be several weeks in the hospital, and we visit daily.

I had talked privately about stepping away in a couple of months. That obviously happened way faster. So I'm making it official. It's been fun gaming with you all, and I wish you all the best as you dive into the Hool Marsh!

Two of mine were premature the last by almost a month with emergency c section so I know hospital visits for sure. Just hold them and know one day becomes the next and they grow stronger with Grace and now he is 20 years old and moved out lol.

I am going to put up a recruitment post as well so we can get someone to take over Maja...either internally or externally.

I will be away this weekend finalizing last minutes details before we break ground and start to build the viking house. I will be able to post but it will be short responses.

@ALLENDM: With the lack of perceived nibbles (unless you've received PMs) on someone taking up the mantle of Maja, am wondering if its worth revisiting a couple of the halfling submissions that you got in the original recruitment? Or broadening out the replacement to allow for an original character to join?

Maja could easily be "written out" - off seeking aid in Burle (or beyond) for Perrun? And an itinerant hobniz (or the like) could also seek us out after tales of our exploits and perils circulated the regional taverns and roadside inns?

Since there was still snow on the ground our meeting was a little shorter than I thought it would be.

I came home Saturday night and ended up going into AFib. I was admitted to the hospital and spent several days on blood thinning medications. I had too many test to remember and blood drawn every 6 hours. Not a fun time at all. I ended up getting a cardio version with one shock at 250 Joules. I am soar as hell from the burns and at home now. I will try and get a post up when I can but I will be honest...it is not my main priority right now. lol Bot me as needed for the next couple of days please. Thank you.

Daniel Stewart will be joining our group. He plays my Saltmarsh Campaign as Peran and does a great job. I think he will be a great addition to our party.

He wants to run a lizardman...which actually really works for us as we will be moving into the swamp (hopefully) and that will be an easy way to link him up with the group and the story line.

Thank you everyone for your words. I am doing much better and feel I can start to spread my wings so to speak. I am slowly getting myself back into PBP games. I will post a few times here and there but should be back to normal posting in a couple of days or so. I am not pushing myself to quickly as my wife would not be happy. So baby steps...

Sorry for the delay in posting this past week. It has been a crazy busy week and my time was very limited. Between work and travel sports for two boys we have been spinning wheels around here.

I have not heard from Licitus so I am going to move Thanim to NPC. I am really hoping he pops back up. Because Thanim plays a big role in the group I will continue to run him as an NPC. I am looking at getting us moving towards the swamp and towards the Beacon...be ready for lots of survival hazards, Hool Marsh politics, and interesting monsters :)

I plan on making up for my complete lack of posting last week...so hold on to your pants :)

Apologies for not posting over the long weekend. I had plans to do so but we had 10 games between baseball and soccer with my two boys which nearly broke me and my wife. Top it off my wife's uncle had a massive heart attack and went into surgery on Monday to have five stints put in for blockage in his arteries. It has been a long weekend :)
