Devora moves into the room. The smell nearly makes her puke; but she fights through the stench, knocking an arrow, and letting it fly between the fighters. The arrow sticks into the horror.

Flynn also moves into the room and fires an arrow at the large disgusting creature. It misses the mark.
Garrath engages the creature and cleaves into the horror with his Greatsword.
Brandark moves in and hacks at the thing. The blow glances off its mottled hide.
Elektra weaves a spell to Enlarge Garrath.
The Scarecrow misses its first hack at the big Barbarian, but nearly crits the big guy on its backwards thrust.
Devora steps into the room, nearly pukes, and sends an arrow at the terror. The arrow sticks into the creature.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath growls at the pain of the slash and bellows back at the thing as his rage grows and so does he, thanks to Elektra's spell. He grins a bestial grin and takes a small step back, using his range to keep the thing at bay. He swings the giant two handed weapon down on the things Scythe, attempting to sunder it.

Stone briefly ponders about the creature, but does not come up with anything. He then pulls out his loaded Crossbow and fires. But Stone was distracted by Garrath's enlargement causing the bolt to sail wide right.
Flynn judges the situation and provide extra Protection on Garrath and himself.
Garrath becomes Enlarged. Seeing the threat from the creature's scythe, Garrath attempts to sunder the wicked weapon. But the creature sees an opening and attacks the really, really big Barbarian. He cuts again into Garrath just before Garrath destroys the creature's scythe with his Greatsword. The creature howls with the loss of his weapon.

Brandark hacks mightily into the creature. The creature continues its howling.
Elektra knows about this creature. It is a Flesh Golem. It is immune to direct magical attacks, and even damage made to the creature is reduced. It is a monster in every sense of the word. Elektra then begins to summon in a dog.
The large Scarecrow, without its scythe, slams into the now equal-sized Garrath. It leads with its left and hits the extra-big Barbarian square in the chin. But its right was clumsy and ineffective.

Devora sends another arrow toward the creature, but she too was distracted by the blossoming Garrath. The shot sticks into the rafters.

GM Mazra |

Round Three
Stone reaches out and touches the Enlarged Garrath. A wave of healing flows through the oversized Barbarian.
Flynn provides the really big Barbarian with a little direction. Garrath becomes hasted for this Round.
Garrath roars in defiance. He catches the large Scarecrow with his great Greatsword's downward slice, but the upward thrust glances off the creature's leathery skin.
Brandark drops his shield. And with a tight grip on his axe hacks into the creature, once then twice. The second blow staggers the creature. It wobbles then falls dead.
@Brandark - You would not have been hasted unit Elektra's initiative. But Brandark's second roll would have been high enough to strike. Combined damage drops the creature.
@Elektra - The creature falls before Elektra's initiative. You would not needed to cast your Haste.
@Flynn and Garrath - Had Brandark's attack not been enough to drop the creature, Garrath would have had another attack in the Round. That might have been enough.
Victory
Elektra will note the special weave of the cloak the Scarecrow was wearing. It is a Cloak of Elvenkind

Which is why I labled each attack. You just ignore the hasty attack. I had thought Elektra had managed the haste. :)
percept: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Hey, what is this
Brandark picks up both his shield, and the small bag that was under it.

GM Mazra |

@Brandark - Unless I am missing something, it was just that Elektra's initiative was after Brandark's. I revised your hasty roll as the second . Otherwise, your second attack would have missed.
After finding the moldy leather sack, Flynn's investigative skills puts two and two together. The smell and the impression in the mound of debris reveals to him that this creature once resided on the main floor of the lumber mill.
Elektra will also recollect notes left behind by Vorel Foxglove at the Misgivings that this Flesh Golem was one of Vorel's creations.
Beginning from this ground floor, the inner wall of this vast space is traversed by a winding wooden stairway supported by an intricate network of wooden beams but lacking, at many stretches, a handrail or other enclosure. In certain places, two or even three stairs at a time are partially missing or gone altogether.
What do you do?

Flynn Elric |

Good job team, oh and that thing probably from the lumber mill. the smell, debris to much sense for it not to be Should we go report this, I don't know what this nations policy is for creatures of vile magics like this is,

Brandark Plainswalker |

No worries :) I was just getting back into the swing of things after 40ish hours on the road.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath lets his rage subside, and looks about catching his breath. "That was a fight worth having. Tales of that fight will ring in our stories for many tellings." He sees Brandark pick up the shield and shrugs, "It looks like a shield."

Brandark Plainswalker |

Garrath, it was the sack i was talking about. The shield was mine from dropping it
Brandark starts to make his way carefully up the stairs

GM Mazra |

Shadowclock Stairs map is up. You will need to zoom in as the scale is very small. I need someone to setup the marching order for the party and place their tokens along the stairs on the topmost section. This is the starting point. Brandark is in the lead, so you maybe the right one to designate positioning. But anyone can do this. This could be a little complicated in PBP.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

I took the liberty. Figure Brandark can go first, Garrath can use his hammer to attack over Brandark's head, Flynn can use a bow, Elektra spells, and Stone gives us someone more heavily armored in the rear.

Flynn Elric |

I can if needed but seeing as they had a thing guarding the stairwell i don' think anything's there
Perception just in case: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

GM Mazra |

Flynn only notes the obvious, the stairs have seen better days. It only takes about 40 feet heading up to realize the unstable condition of the stairs as it begins to wobble violently.
Wobble duration: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The violent wobble last for about two Rounds. You determine that any two PCs in adjacent stair squares is too much weight for the structure. What do you do?

Brandark Plainswalker |

Once the wobble stabilizes. i think we should spread ourselves out, and possibly rope ourselves to each other.
will go ropeless if that is the concencus, but i dont suggest it. The ground is a long ways away

Flynn Elric |

Roping to each other could be dangerous, Handle this like fragile ice, move slowly and keep our weight dispersed evenly we need to balance out the stairs to stop the wobble

Brandark Plainswalker |

Should I continue climbing, or do I wait for us to figure other means ?

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

"keep them busy while we get up there would be good"
