Mordea works it, let's out a huff and then finally the click. The lock opens. Mordea stands back and motions to Ulfgard. The party gets ready to storm in.

When Ulfgard opens the door he sees a storage shed for the horse's gear, bits, bridles, harnesse and saddles. One saddle is an ornate military saddle, tooled with an elaborate equine motif. The shed does not provide entrance to the rest of the structure.

Mordea will move around where a flight of steep stairs and a lowered drawbridge lead into the dark interior of the way station.

Mordea sneaks up and takes a look inside, then sneaks back down. She communicates that it is a single room with a large fireplace, a table and chairs, a pair of bunks, and stacks of crates and barrels. "Oh and by the way," Mordea continues. "There are five orcs and what looks like some kind of knight, I guess, in golden armor. She is tied up." Mordea has heard of knights, but has never actually seen one.

Corrected the map. There is an open doorway at the end of the drawbridge. It is an odd structure at best. Everything is on the second floor. There are no windows, not even arrow slits. Mordea's stealth check was high enough to not be noticed. Who leads?

The third one's falchion bounced off Kaos' shield. The fourth one nearly strikes a critical blow against the big human.

Round One

Ragnir move to the right of the third Orc.

The third Orc takes an Attack of Opportunity against the well armored Dwarf. But its blow bounced off the Dwarf's armor. (Imagine that!)

Ragnir's attack on the other hand strikes true.

Mordea waits for an opening.

Trading blows, Kaos comes down hard with his oversized axe on the fourth Orc.

The first Orc moves up behind the third Orc and attacks the well armored Dwarf. It barely manages to get a strike in between its layers of armor.

The second Orc's attack is deflected by Ragnir's heavy steel shield.

The third Orc seeing an advantage, hesitate s slightly seeing the fifth Orc moving opposite it against the well armored Dwarf. But the third Orc's Falchion whiffed nothing except air.

Flanking the well armored Dwarf, the fifth Orc's blow does nothing more than make a clanking sound on Ragnir's armor.

Ragnir only takes 11 points of damage through all that.

The fourth Orc gets a renewed vigor and swings again against the big human. It once again passes through Kaos' magic shield and lands a blow.

Mordea Round One

Mordea sees an opening as Ulfgard slays the fourth Orc. She clamors over the bleeding body and attacks the third Orc with Ragnir providing a flank.

The first Orc also sees an opportunity and attacks the stealthy female, but was too out of position from its focus on Ragnir to be effective with its attack.

Mordea shoves her shortsword into the third Orc's flesh. A Human, or a Dwarf for that matter, would have fallen from such a strike. But not a ferocious Orc.

Ragnir nearly fumbles his attack against the fifth Orc.

Kaos goes over the chest to his right to flank the fifth Orc.

The fifth Orc swung its Falchion at Kaos but missed its opportunity.

Kaos doesn't miss, striking hard the distracted fifth Orc.

The first Orc hacks into Mordea.

Haskyll, Ulfgard, Mordea and Round Three

Haskyll just sticks the fifth Orc with Uskroth's Guardian's magic spear. The Orc becomes ferocious.

Ulfgard wielding Agrimmosh with two hands come down hard on the fifth Orc. Its ferocious behavior is short lived as the Orc falls with an arcing splash of green blood.

Mordea's shortsword was not finished tasting green blood as the Rogue slashes into the first Orc.

Ragnir will do something. If Ragnir drops either Orc 1 or 2, I will retcon Orc's actions. I have free time to post now. Maybe more difficult to post tomorrow.

Round Three Finish and Round Four Start

Ragnir swiftly cast a cure spell on hisself. He then misses the second Orc.

Haskyll reaches Kaos and brings healing to the big human.

Ulfgard moves around to flank the second Orc. He again brings Agrimmosh down hard on an Orc.

Green blood swells up into the second Orc and then respond ferociously to the damage sustained.

Mordea cuts again into the first Orc.

Kaos becomes conscious and stands.

The second ferocious Orc strikes at Kaos as he rises. It assault was simply pathetic. Kaos stands without further harm.

Since the party would have looked through the double doors and the shed before Mordea scouted out the main room, I would say 20 rounds burned up before the next encounter. That means you still had some time on the Bless.
