Sidebar, folks? We're running low on resources, and I think there are more dangers behind the door, like Krant or something. Not sure if we can handle them.

However! I have the Elemental Gem, which can summon a very large water elemental.

The question is, can we get rid of Egarthis without it? Let me know your opinions. If I summon it up, I think it can take him out. This leaves us weakened for any further fights, though. We might just have to run.

If you Shillelagh and flank with Liz, we can start doing major damage to this guy and save the gem.

Yeah, I was thinking that. We are just low on stuff, but Aldous can raid this sucker's body once we take him.

My plan was to get into the office, grab the evidence and split. With Dragon, of course.

We can't arrow him down, and Bria is out of the fight for a couple more rounds. I'll engage in melee if that'll mean Liz can gut this bastard, though.

We do have that elf guy ally, though.

What if Garuneh draws his scimitar and jumps on Egarthis? Can he do falling damage and some blade damage? (and take falling damage)

Doesn't seem like a good tactic to me, since he has healed himself up, the water gem is looking better and better

That is a viable option for Garuneh. He'll still have to roll to hit to get scimitar damage (+1 for higher ground). Since it'll be a voluntary jump, Garuneh will be able to roll Acrobatics to negate the first 10' of damage. He can choose to forgo the option and be more reckless, thus earning the "Charge" condition tot he attack (+2 to hit and -2 to AC).

Falling damage for Garuneh will be 2d6. Damage to Egarthis from Garuneh landing on him will be (3d6)/2.

I hope that answers your questions and gives you some options.

It did. I'm going with letting the water elemental attack after all. Egarthis keeps healing too much.

Folks, we'll just have to heal up for Krant or whomever else, and I recommend that we grapple him if it's just on BBEG. Garuneh still has some spells left.

I have a problem, so here is a heads up.

I will not be playing this much longer. As I truly hate having my characters botted, that means Bria will not be available.

Bria can finish out this adventure, for all the good she is doing right now. But she will not be playing past that.

That means y'all might want to start looking for a new player.

Is there anything I'm missing here or any measures that needs to be addressed before moving on?

Damn, there goes my suggestion for Bria to light herself on fire and grapple Krant (yes, I'm serious). :(

This will also end my part in GM'ing for this group at this time. It was a good run, but I cannot put in the effort for a good game over the next 6 months. It sometimes takes me an hour to type a post. With mid-level combat, it'll get more complex to make it all work out and look "pretty."

So if you guys find another GM and continue on, I wish you all good luck! If not, I may look you guys up to get the band back together for the final run in the future.

Excellent game, Neb! Bury Garuneh in a gently swaying mangrove forest, my friends, where he can feed the trees and the seas.

Not sure what I'll do. I have a lot of PbP games and am going to try GM'ing a tabletop game, so I probably won't go out for recruitment for a bit. Lemme know.
