He draws his short sword with his other hand, and points his smoking gun at the thing attacking him. "YOU DIE!"

Rav then 5ft adjusts back, away from the dog. "NEW ENEMIES! FALL BACK! NO ATTACK NEW ONES, CONCENTRATE ON DOGGIES!"


Ravboom's gun rips a second gash along the flank of the beast charging at him... but neither Palomia nor Relas, distracted by the cracking of the doors, land a telling strike against the 'warbeasts'.

Sorry, family was over for an early Christmas and wasn't able to get on.

With the weird dog things now closer, Biggun's wide mouth stretched in a killer grin as he rushed forward next to Relas, his chain swinging wide. Unfortunately, in his eagerness, his chain swung too wide and narrowly missed smashing into Relas' head.

Racing forwards, teeth bared and screeching maniacally, Blekk sinks his teeth into the closest dog creature.

Relas takes another swipe at the warbeast he's fighting against and then quickly shuffles backward towards the safety of the corridor behind him.

Relas attacks and then does the 5 foot shuffle back.

"Sh*t! He's right, fall back!" Palo cries. But then she spots Blekk, on the ground and at the mercy of the warbeasts that are closing in.

Damn! I have to DO something but I'm out of magic!

Almost as if in response to her thoughts, she suddenly feels a strange burst of power race through her body as the words to a new, unfamiliar spell flood her mind. She seizes the opportunity, repeating the words aloud and pointing at the warbeast that had pulled Blekk to the ground. Without warning, a pair of ghostly-looking chain burst out of the floor and swing at the warbeast!

"Wha...what the hell!?" she gasps as she falls back towards the corridor as well.

Palomia will burn a use of mythic power to use her Wild Arcana ability to cast Barbed Chains. DC 14 Will save on hit or be shaken for 1d4 rounds.


In danger of being outnumbered, the group start to move back towards somewhere tactically preferable... Ravboom firing off yet more bullets, Relas somewhat ineffectually biting... and Palomia, conjuring chains from the floor, slashing at the warbeasts...

As the others started to fall back, Biggun turned his eyes on the dog thing that took Blekk down and whacked it harshly across its back. "You drop that! Not know where Blekk been!"


Biggun, seeing one of the wolf-like creatures dragging Blekk to the floor, gives his peculiar companion some help... crashing his weapon down hard across the beast's back, there is a horrific snapping of bone - and the warbeast, whimpering, collapses...

Grinning at Biggun, Blekk clambers to his feet, and jumps at another 'wolf'... teeth bared and eyes rolling maniacally...

Standing atop the twitching corpse of the dying warbeast, Blekk finds himself flanked by the two remaining 'wolves'... and whilst he easily avoids the snapping jaws of his first attacker, he doesn't see the second attack - jaws clamping around his ankle and dragging him to the floor once more...

Ravboom rubs his gun barrel against his temple carefully in thought at the words. Then he yells at the top of his lungs. "WE NO BE SLAVES! WE NO BE TEST SUBJECTS! WE ESCAPE FROM YOU AND NO BE USED FOR TESTING AGAIN! YOU NO MAKE US SLAVES AGAIN! YOU CALL OFF DOGS!"

He then glares at the former prisoner. "They be legit, or they be slavers you work for?" Rav asks, before firing at the wounded warbeast Blekk bit.

"Trespassing!? We never wanted to be here in the first place! Leave us alone!" Palo calls, backing up Rav's words. Tapping into her anger and fear once again, she calls up another bit of magic - this time a beam of bright light that streaks forward and strikes the less injured of the two warbeasts.

Burning another mythic point to cast Daze Monster; functions as Daze with a Will save DC of 15.


Relas, struggling somewhat to land blows against the warbeasts, fights alongside Blekk and Biggun... whilst Ravboom, firing with accuracy - yet achieving little more than a grazing blow, continues to attack from a safe distance...

Digging into her new reserves, Palomia befuddles the warbeast tangling with Blekk... surely saving the strange little goblin from having his throat ripped open...

Sorry, didn't know who's turn it was. Also, threw my back out Friday morning and had me laid up all weekend. Back still hurts but I'm moving again.

Unfortunately, trying to avoid hitting Blekk caused Biggun's swing to go wide.


GMPC for Blekk - have PM'd his player, let's see if he comes back to the boards.

Clambering to his feet, Blekk avoids being bitten by one of the warbeasts... and then, leaping forwards again, he sinks his teeth into the neck of his attacker. With a plaintive howl, the warbeast collapses... and Blekk grins at Biggun, his mouth surrounded - not unlike a clown - by crimson...

...and then, a salvo of thorns - fired from clicking rifles at the eastern end of the temple, pepper the walls near Biggun and Blekk.

As the voice calls out to the group huddled at the western end of the temple, Baeden nods to Ravboom, "Yeah... that's Maulvorge, Lomrick's second in command here at the temple. We aren't going to get out without killing him".

Ravboom nods. "Fall back to hallway then, make them come to us, no range for weapons around corner. We die if fight them and dogs at same time." He responds to Baeden. Looking at Palo. "Summon something by them, cover us retreating!" Then he yells at Blekk and Biggun. "FALL BACK!"

Holding to make sure everyone is falling back.

"Summon some-I can't without sending Relas away!" Palo exclaims. "But...maybe I can do something else! Hurry up and get back, things are gonna get hazy in here!"

As soon as everyone has fallen back into the corridor behind her and Ravboom Palo reaches out to this new font of power and calls upon a powerful mist to rise up and obscure their retreat.

Palo will use another mythic point to cast Obscuring Mist once everyone falls back. She'll then fall back as well.

Hearing Ravboom's call for a tactical retreat, Blekk looks back towards the gunslinger with a quizzical look... then, shaking his pumpkin-sized head in disbelief, turns and sinks his teeth into the neck of the remaining warbeast. With a hideous howling sound, it collapses to the ground... looking pleased with himself, Blekk runs back towards where Ravboom is pointing. And, if anyone admonishes him, he merely shrugs...

Though fairly certain that the klaven wouldn't try passing through the mist she'd left, Palomia nevertheless falls back towards the middle of the corridor - just in case.

Ravboom's shot, at the klaven near the entrance to the building, is devastatingly accurate... blood sprays across the pillars of the temple as it roars in anger - and then Palomia forms a dense cloud of mist...

...everything is quiet for a moment, the group huddled in the small corridor near the mural-covered block - and then, stepping through the mist, a clawed humanoid - ducking Palomia's errant bolt - slashes clumsily at Ravboom.

Unsure why he was affected so badly, Biggun none-the-less gave a shudder as the wounded klaven called him out. Shaking his head and growling, he yelled, "Biggun not listen to half-dead thing! Biggun make full dead!" Dropping his chain, he moved head and drew his fork, attacking the klaven in front of Relas.

Between them, Ravboom, Palomia and Relas strive hard to repel the klaven that have flanked them... crossbow, claw and blade spilling blood on the ancient stone of the temple floor. Whilst Biggun, shivering as though troubled by events beyond his ken, can only stab fruitlessly at air...

Blekk scrambles up and along the wall to land by the klaven, biting at him as he goes.

Using the walls to climb over everyone to get to the klaven. I was going to fleet charge to Maulverge, but I'd eat at least 2 AoOs, even if I were to climb. And with my HP as low as it is...that'd kinda be bad. If I do get hit this round, I'm going to use an immediate action to use Roll With It-basically I ignore the damage and get launched back a number of feet equal to the damage taken if I make a DC 5+damage acrobatics.

Oooops, a couple of bits out of place there... yep, it was Relas that got hit (and I applied the damage incorrectly to Ravboom) - amending as appropriate now.

Bouncing from the walls, Blekk easily avoids the clumsy swipe from the klaven... and then, dropping to the floor, the savage goblin bites deep into exposed flesh...

Still feeling a bit shakey, Biggun called up reserves of courage and yelled out, "You stand still and let Biggun stab you!"


Biggun, shaking off the worst of the uncertainty dogging him, stabs forwards and badly injures the klaven... staggering with blood oozing through a nasty gash in it's carapace armour, the creature is barely conscious...

Klaven Shocktrooper 1 (the one to the north) is now on 5HP.

Biggun is no longer Shaken, waiting on actions from Palomia / Relas, Blekk and Ravboom.

Burning an immediate action from the first claw attack to use Roll With It, if I make it I get shunted backwards 5 feet. Would that mean that I don't get hit by the other guy as well?

That's a success, I'm now 5 feet away (already moved myself) and staggered for this current turn. I don't take any damage from at least the first claw attack, and depending on where I end up in relation to them, possibly from the other guys as well.

Upon getting hit by the first claw, Blekk grasps the arm and lifts his feet up, allowing the momentum of the klaven's claw to shake him off a few feet away. "Wheeeeeee!"

Yep, that's fine... Blekk moves backwards... and Relas catches the attack from Maulvorge instead!!!

"Rrrrr, Relas, fall back!" Palomia cries as she taps into this new font of magical energy once more, this time to call upon a spell she already knows quite well. Almost instantly, the floor underneath Maulvorge and his klaven crony becomes slick with grease!

Using another mythic power point to cast Grease underneath Maulvorge and his friend. DC 14 Reflex save or they slip and fall!


After Relas, too cautious in his attacks, misses the klaven - Palomia summons yet more magic from her new found reserves... this time smearing the area where the klaven are standing with a slick, and foul smelling, grease...

Stepping forwards, Ravboom stabs once more... and hot crimson blood washes down his wrist. Crashing backwards, his foe pulls his last deep breaths and collapses.

As the klaven's claw rips into Relas' hide Palomia instinctively siphons some of her own vitality into her friend in an effort to keep him bound to the Material Plane.

Palomia will use Life Link to transfer 8 HP to Relas; this puts him back at 8 and her at 6.

Now feeling desperate, she channels the last bit of her new font of power and calls forth more barbed chains to strike at their two remaining foes before shakily falling back behind Biggun and Ravboom.
