"Of all his companions and followers I think Tessara was the closest to him." Vibenia says sadly. "I'm pretty sure he planned to marry her at some point. She'll likely take this the hardest."

The Ranger tilts her head at the mention of possibly reviving his body, bringing him back from whatever beyond a holy warrior was likely to be destined for. "Would that work?" she asks turning to Zelara and Niadroub as the experts on magic.

Zelera realized just how badly things had gone when her spell did not revive Marten and she felt a sense of loss. He was too good for his own good, and all too orderly which made him a wonderful target for her pranks and it was just not acceptable that he was gone before she had tired of him! She looked at the others and said, "I need time now, keep watch here while I handle this and do not let me get interrupted."

Zelera pulled a scroll carefully from her pack and began to unroll it as she started to read the ritual inscribed upon it's surface. The casting seemed to go on, and on, and on, and on, far longer than a normal spell would and she kept unrolling more and more of the scroll as she went. After ten minutes her chanting rose to a crescendo and the scroll turned into a pure white light glittering like that of a diamond and sank into Marten's lifeless husk.

Refuse to return if you so choose Marten.

Assuming he accept.

Zelera then pulled out a second scroll from her pack and began to read from it. It took considerably less time to complete than the first one but still longer than a normal one. When she was done this one turned into a glow that suffused Marten and he glowed slightly before some of the wanness cleared from his face. Zelera looked up and said, "I can't do anything about the remaining weakness until I can prepare my spells again tomorrow so we should probably rest until then."

Scroll of Raise Dead and Scroll of Restoration have been used.

With everyone alive and mostly well now Zelera took to the task of healing everyone as much as she could. That fight had been rough, and she had already channeled on the undead before she started to bring Marten back, so she began to expend the rest on her companions as they discussed what to do next.

Two churning fountains take up alcoves to the east and west of this immense chamber, their water cascading down the faces of beautifully rendered maidens as if they were crying for the souls lost in battle. Directly ahead, four rows of intricately carved columns reach deeper into the chamber, resembling armed soldiers kneeling in honor of the massive statues of Gorum at the chamber’s far end. A set of stairs descends into a
passageway to the north.

Waiting at the far end of the temple stands a glowing human figure who patiently awaits you.

Zelera was glad she had her blessing up when the barrier suddenly appeared and deftly tried to dodge as she channeled the blessing into avoiding the worst of the damage.

It makes the haste I said NK was going to cast mostly redundant. Can I switch his action to dimension door? If we're treating it as a readied spell, NK would have taken Marten, Dusk, Vibenia, and Zelera through with him, but if we're going by initiatives, I guess that leaves Marten, Mouse, and anyone who didn't move beyond the blade barrier.

Okay, thanks. This means that Marten didn't take any damage from the blade barrier, and then he could have taken his action as normal.
