Also, Sturmulme has over 16 of its lots filled with buildings, which is a kingdom-building milestone worth 4,800 xp. Not sure if we got that awarded yet by Bluedove.

Forgot that the Sturmulme Library should have room to eventually become a University, which would take the entire 4 lot block there. That means the Orphanage goes... hmm... I guess in Sturmulme B2, just below the Graveyard. "Hey kids, welcome to the orphanage! You can see your parents from outside the window."

I don't track XP, it's simpler to just advance in level when the CRs scale up. Probably happens about halfway through your next exploring sweep.

Gotcha, thanks!

Is Rhialla still with us? Wanted to check on updating the maps, and whether I should just do my own, or if we can get hers up to date with our current expansions.

I am sorry for the silence… had a very dear friend pass away and am Executor and dealing with a lot of emotions and all the paperwork.
I will try to get caught up this weekend including the maps.

Oh my gosh, that is so stressful. I'm really sorry to hear it. Please, don't mind me, I'm glad you were able to check in.

I'm so sorry for your loss Rillka.
Been pretty busy and just got home from a two week trip to Kansas and back, helping my wife and her brother clear out their dad's house, and go through decades worth of stuff after his passing.

Veronica - appreciate you asking about Rillka.
Saoirse - you have my deepest condolences, I think that can be as hard as any part of the process. I wish you and your family peace.

And I just realized I typo'd "Rhialla" instead of "Rillka." Sheesh. Sorry about that, folks! I'll tap-dance myself out.

I am sorry to hear about your difficulties, Rillka and Saoirse. Glad to have you back.

My condolences as well. I always tended to think that in times of grief, I would lean in on gaming, needing every joy and comfort I could glean. But that wasn't the reality for me when I lost my mom. It was like all the joy just went out of the world and it felt like nothing would ever be fun again. It took time to even have the desire to try.
Also, I've been swamped at work and what little free time I've had has been spent catching up on RL backlog. I will get back to you on the 21st!

I sent an updated map to Andres - I think he can post and make it visible... It has updates through Round 16; but not Veronica's suggested plan for Round 17 posted here: Post

Heads up: Tomorrow I'll be traveling with my family for summer vacation. My posting will probably suffer a lot until the week of the 23rd.
Veronica Ferra
Well, I think at this point we're just waiting for:
* DM to process Kingdom Turn 17 and decide if we want to do more, or get back to adventurin' for a bit before advancing the calendar again
* Rillka's map updates to be in place to include all of our expansions and town improvements
Saoirse Oparaeal
Was locked out for a couple of days after the last site update
bluedove
Yeah, I need to get our summary up to date and review the proposed turn 17. Sadly none of it will be quick work and I have just been too busy. I'm traveling this weekend and may find some time to look at it.

While we wait, I'd happy to hear some opinions on the wand crafting proposals. If not, I'll just choose myself and tell you what you have to deduct.

So am I

Sorry folks, I think it's time to call it. If I haven't found the time in the past month, it's fair to say I'm not likely to. With the current demands on my schedule, I'm sadly going to have to scale back on my gaming endeavors.
I sincerely hope you can find another GM. I will do whatever I can to facilitate an exchange if you can find someone.
Sir Andreas Eisfalke Von Ulm
I thank you for the time and wish you the best of luck.
With that news...what would the others like to do?
I am of course open to keep going I am bound to finish this game...lol

So, I'd be willing to. Still, it'd be a big ask, to bring a new GM. Who should post the recruitment?
Saoirse Oparaeal
If you find someone willing to run it I'd be down to continue
Veronica Ferra
If we have trouble finding a GM I can run it for a little while. I'm not good at running PbP games over the long haul, I have a very erratic schedule and stuff always gets in the way, but I can maybe get through a little bit of stuff to keep some momentum while we look for a full replacement, if needed.
Sir Andreas Eisfalke Von Ulm
Give me some time and I will put together a post seeking a DM. If someone has the time to do so now that would be great, otherwise I will get to it as soon as possible.

I'm still around. Seriously overcommited this semester but will post when I can.
Sir Andreas Eisfalke Von Ulm
Please be patient as we welcome our new DM into the game. We’ll wait for them to wrap up their current game before they take over ours. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this transition.

Hi folks, prospective GM here. As stated, I am trying to finish an existing one-shot before I take on another GMing roll, so it will probably be a month or two before I can fully pick up this ball. I'll keep reading the IC thread in the meantime. Speaking of which, Jovich suggested I start reading when the last GM started, around November 2024. Does that seem like a good place to start if I don't want to go way back to the beginning? Or will starting at that date not make sense unless I read what came before it? I know the general outline of the AP.
Another question: I know that the characters now
Yet another question: you're playing PF1E, yes?
OK, just one more: is there a date when the majority of players now playing had joined, and was it a gradual turn-over, or did folks get replaced en masse?

Okay, I may have nerded out slightly (using an LLM):
Would you mind looking it over to check for any obvious hallucinations? I created it to help me get a handle on things.
FYI, I don't use LLMs to generate artwork or write posts for me, but I do use it organizationally and to help me keep track of plot threads, NPCs, etc. If you really object to that, please let me know. I don't have to use it.
Saoirse Oparaeal
The roles and classes are definitely off, some more than others.
Saoirse is a Bard, and Rillka an Arcanist. When I get back to my laptop I can go over the discrepancies.
But first and foremost, welcome!

Thank you for taking up the mantle, that is so generous! I know we can have a lot of fun together. About the party, what I know is that Veronica and I were the last to join the game. Veronica was brought in to fill the healer role while I was selected as the trap breaker. I know it sounds weird role for a druid to fill, but it's made possible through the Nature Fang archetype which trades out wild shape for slayer talents, one of which grants trapfinding.
Anyway, since we were the last to join, I can't tell much about what happened before. About the game itself, it has been much more role playing than combat, which has been amazing. However, if I can try to guess what hindered the last GM, I'd say it was the heavy workload of being a GM on top of handling kingdom management. The latter has had different levels of engagement by the party, I myself could not engage much because I never got fully caught up with the rules. Whether or not I am right, I hope you can appreciate that this will take some investment. The good news is that everyone here has been playing with a lot of patience, and different gaming paces have not come close to derailing the game.
I'm not trying to dissuade you or anything. Again, thank you for joining!
Veronica Ferra
Since I joined late in the game with Vinni, my understanding of the "early years" and the transitions between the original GMs is limited.
The LLM attributes the wrong player, class, and role for Veronica, who is a cleric of Erastil. I presume that it says she's involved in urban operations because I as a player have done a lot of suggestions for the kingdom-building downtimes. (Veronica is actually a rural character.)
We are currently stalled out as we were trying to run through about six months (turns) of kingdom building, from 14–29, but only got halfway. (Turn 17 was submitted but not processed by the GM.) Our kingdom building has been impacted by the fact that information is spread across multiple files updated by multiple people, so it's hard to have up-to-date current information about the map and the nation.
Our most recent stories involved settling the problems with the lizardfolk and their false deity, and agreeing to bring in the village settled at the old river ford where the actual urban planners Loy and Leticia Rezbin had started a small settlement (Tatzlford) and asked to join our fledgling nation. That was in-process when GM Bluedove had to bow out.

Thanks for the all the updates.
What would the group like to tackle first once we get started again?
Vinni Stoneclaw

I think we should start slow. Some RP to get the ball rolling, getting into character again. I think we were wrapping up a kingdom development round, then I'd say we should lay out the most interesting exploration opportunities and pick one of the options. Want to hear other opinions as well.
GM BrOp
Were the differences between the 1e and 2e versions of the AP ever discussed and were 2e elements ever included as far as you know?
GM BrOp
Small update on me:
I realized as I was reading "Stolen Land" that it seems I have committed to the game. I like the sandbox nature of the game and RP-heavy PbP games are very much my alley, so you have me if you want me.
Secondly, I want to read through all the IC and OOC posts at least beginning when Bluedove began to GM (ca. Nov. 2024), but in order for all of that to make sense I have to be a lot more familiar with the first two books of the AP (at a minimum) before we can actually start. I wouldn't want to start us off in one direction and then read ahead a bit more and realize that I need to retroactively change something because it doesn't make sense with later story elements. I also want to become a lot more familiar with the kingdom building rules.
Just because I don't want to move the story forward until I have the AP under my belt, doesn't mean that we can't do other stuff in the meantime. You guys could continue talking about plans for the settlement in the OOC thread (and/or the IC thread if you prefer), you could talk about what tasks/quests you want to tackle next, or I could start a little RP side story that I come up with so that you all can get back into the RP swing of things and we could get to know each other's playing styles.
I'm willing to leave this all up to you. For the moment I see this as YOUR game first and foremost, so I'm happy to let you drive the bus until I can get a better understanding of the storylines and kingdom building game mechanics.
