Locke Vernariah |
Locke gets over to Vuvu and kneels and bows before the Fire Titan. "Greetings Titan, great one if it pleases you bestow upon us your name, or at least a name we can call you. May we serve you in removing the filth from your presence, then to heal any wounds you may have sustained?" Locke supplicates before the Titan.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Diplomacy Check. Wow, a 20, that is awesome.
At this point, if any of you followed Locke or Vuvu, may interject before the Titan responds. You can make your own checks, or attempt to assist each other.
Arsil Dawnsinger |
Before heading toward the fire titan:
Arsil will respond to hemming I don't know about the rest, but i have never called myself a Do-gooder, so that is that. Second the inn and the nearby house we are staying is as it was pointed out in goblin controlled lands. So speaking only for myself i was a strategic decision to join this fight as the more goblin we kill here and now, the less we will have to face at a latter point. And if we can push them back further away form the town then its citizen will be a lot safer when we are no here. As for the rest, Hemming fight or not to fight that is for you to decide.
----
Arsil will follow locke and tyrel
We humbly apologies if we intruded in your fight with the goblins, we since we are at war with them for control of this parch of land it seemed like a good opportunity for us? I am Arsil, This is Tyrel, Locke and Vuvu. The one over there is Hemmings
diplomacy assist: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Hemmings shrugs at Vuvu's explosion, as if the tirade is of no concern to him. "Not like there's anything 'ere amongst these goblin corpses anyways. Even if I wanted ta fight 'em, which I don't, I'm not much use in a straight-up war-zone. I might hold me own if there was sneakin' involved, but not fer much else. I'll leave the killin' to you high and mighty uns."
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Herman looks at the others. "What'll it be folks, if you don't want me just say the word. S'got nothin' ta do with trust though; I tol' you before you started in bashing goblins it wasn't my fight and I ain't stole nothin' of yours yet. Jes' cuz I ain't gonna sword-play with goblins who ain't wronged me -- if that's groun's for dismissal, I guess I'm guilty."
Hemmings Halfshanks |
"Yer welcome ta try anytime ya like, grumpy pants. Doan get in senseless fights an' you won't haveta worry 'bout it none. Now get on about yer business, I'm tired a' yer grousin' fer one day."
Hemmings turns and stands with the others watching the Fire Titan.
GM Wolf |
The Fire Titan speaks once all the drama has been concluded, his voice deep and menacing, "For sure, an interesting group you have. Yes, you may remove the filth from my presence and heal me from a distance. No, it was good that you fought the goblins, and that you brought my friend back to me." He indicates Ash. "It proves that you can be trusted somewhat, perhaps you can complete what we have finished to prove yourselves. Seek out the remnants of the goblin horde that grew for the power of this skull and destroy every last one of them, treasure and power will be yours."
The Fire Titan continues, "Either way, I have several rituals to strengthen my borders, my cinder wolf will protect me while I do them. Once you have completed one of your missions, 'Ash' as you call him, will choose to go with you or stay. His choice."
Locke Vernariah |
Locke is in the process of removing the goblin bodies from the area, once away, he makes sure they will not awaken again.
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Murmuring to himself, Hemmings muses: "So now if we kill the goblins, treasure an' power will be ours. Ok, sign me up fer that." He moves to help Locke with the bodies of any remaining goblins looking them over for a coin purse or valuables in the process.
Locke Vernariah |
Once all the bodies are moved away, Hemmings and Vuvu are out searching the bodies.
Locke goes over to Vuvu, "I will be healing the group, please come and take benefit as well."
Once he is over to the Fire Titan, he kneels and bows before him once more. "May I heal you now, great one?"
The Titan accepts and has Locke stand.
Locke heals all those nearby speaking in celestial and calling forth healing waves upon them all. 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 5, 6) = 21
"It looks like your wounds have not fully recovered, I shall channel again." Locke states... 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 4, 6) = 18
The Fire Titan is thankful, "Cleric thank you for your healing ways. Come back to my home, so you may rest, you do look exhausted. If you trust the rest of your allies I will trust them as well. Come, gather from the bodies what loot you may then follow my path."
The Fire Titan gets up, pats Ash, and begins to walk away. Ash follows him. Locke whistles and his horse runs up, he jumps up and catches up to the Titan.
Locke Vernariah |
With his hand in the back of his neck!!!?!!! You mean on the back of his neck right? You can still change it!
Locke just keeps up...
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Not sure how overgrown it is, but as Arsil is grabbing the magic stuff, Hemmnings will grab the most valuable looking things he can, stuffing them in sacks, bags, pockets etc right up until Arsil is out of sight.
How do you determine how much or what that is? Some kind of roll, or fiat only? Appraise check if needed below
Appraise: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
GM Wolf |
Now that the group has haphazardly looted a good portion of the goblin horde, they follow the fire prints...
Soon enough you come to a rise of a hill. Once on top of it, you see a magnificent view. You should have saw it before, yet now it only appears before you the massive castle. You are likely about a 1/4 mile away or about 1200 feet.
Vuvu and Hemmings the tower that you saw before, is still there, but a massive Fort with at least four, or more, towers adjacent to the fort is below the original tower. Or perhaps the rest has been risen up to the existing tower. Only getting close will help you determine which is true.
The massive castle has flames sprouting from each of the tower tops, deep red runes of power are etched and blazing on the walls in strategic locations.
The bushes are actually a few fiery skeletons standing at attention near those doors. Flames lick out of the fissure.
DCs drop by 2, roughly every 100 feet.
GM Wolf |
Once you get to the hill, it seems that the Titan with the other three... is halfway to the castle what do you do?
Really Vuvu, all you do is do a perception check. Plus for everyone's reference please tell me what check you are doing, it would be horrible if I took it as an attack or different check than you wanted.
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Jogging along after the Fire Titan and Locke, Hemmings sees the tower in the distance once he arrives on the hilltop.
"Curious", he says to himself, if no one else is around. "Them other towers weren't there b'fore. An' that fire seems ta be new as well. Wonder what tha's all about. Reckon tha's where the giant is headed."
He double-times it to catch up with the others, wanting to ask about the apparently new castle structure.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Arsil Dawnsinger |
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Arsil will make all haste in order to catch up to Locke and the rest.
My, My it's an impressive castle with flames and everything. I wonder if it will be hard to save the princess right Mister Tyrel, Rescuer of damsel in distress she says almost with a child like glee..
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Just want to be sure, the orginal tower is the crumbled tower we explored previously right, and now the Titan's castle is next to it? Is the original tower still crumbly?
Helios' |
The Fire Titan speaks slowly in its booming voice, Ahh, you have joined us. Anything interesting that you collected? Come, come, we shall dine in my main hall. Do you have an aversion to flames? It says as it continues to walk towards the castle.
