Yup.


The three of you, Yue Fei, Kavalina, and Malok travel across Golarion. Some of you are in pursuit of fame, others riches, others to simply see adn experience everything life has to offer.

In your travels, you reach Oenopion, in Nex. You had heard that cities in Nex are very cosmopolitan and extravagant. Oenopion is no exception. You see every race represented from human, to elf, to ifrit to the very strange suli.

While in a bar, you hear that a complex, that was once buried for thousands of years, has been discovered. There is no telling what secrets, or magical creations may be buried in the no revealed tombs.

You are told that the tombs in question are located about 2 days travel to the south. If they wish to be hired as excavators, they should check out the local guild associated with everything lore based or knowledge driven.

You visit the local guild spoken about, and you are given a great speech about helping out the great nation of Nex, and in recovering any magical items to better the nation.

Becoming an official excavator has many advantages, but also few strict guidelines.

Guidelines & Advantages:

1) All object(s) found within the tombs, caves, or other such places within the borders of Nex, must be turned over to proper Nex authorities at first possible opportunity.

1a) Nex authorities have final say in whether said surrendered item(s) are to be taken in or relinquished back to original excavator.

2) By agreeing to and adhering to above guideline, a licensed excavator is given 60% of wholesale or market value cost of said surrendered item(s), if kept by authorites, to be able to purchase other goods of individuals choice.

3) If above rules are broken by excavator, penalty includes, but not limited to: permanent ban from being a licensed excavator, banishment from Nex, prison time, death.

4) Membership is a flat 50gp due. No annual fee is due.

5) Should death happen while on an official dig, all means will be taken to retrieve the body of the deceased, notify next of kin, and help raise the body of the deceased if Guild is found at fault for allowing member(s) to go to dig site.

Yue does some mental recounting of his money, not wanting to retrieve his purse in public.

Let's see, I spent those 5 gold on the tavern, and then 8 more on... yeah, I should have enough.

He's expecting that, in case they don't have enough for all, they might have to talk their way through this...

Moving her hand around a small belt pouch, Kavalina slowly counts out the gold on a nearby table, "Here", she speaks in common, "This should be enough for me."

You guys get direction to the new expedition dig site. You travel 1 week out of town, and comes across a 30 foot diameter pit with a ladder leading down. You see dozens of footprints, heading too and from the ladder perched at the edge of the pit. You head down into the pit and come across a ladder leading down into a room. Those with darkvision see a barren room, no visible threats.


Without going down to the room, I'd like to check if it has any exits

Perception roll, Darkvision: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Edit: forgot the slash on the second dice :P


With such a roll, I understand I won't be able to see anything, so I'm going to climb down the ladder to the room.

Don't worry, Kavalina can cast it at will due to her Drow Racial ability.


Detect Magic is cast, but no auras are revealed as the room is swept from a distance.

Yue Fei, not seeing anything of note from afar, decides to head down the ladder into the room. The room is plain, a simple cavern, with a few alcoves towards the back of the room. There are two hallways extending east and west respectively.

As Yue Fei get near the center of the room, he hears the sound of something coming up from behind him. He sees 4 skeletons, each with 4 arms crawls from the earth. The each wield 2 short swords, and appear to be hell bent on rending you flesh from your bones.

For "speeding things up"'s sake I'll roll to-hit and damage at the same time, if you all agree. I'll use Move Action to produce the bow and Standard to attack.

Yue Fei, draws his longbow, and sends an arrows clinking around the skeletons skull. The sheer force behind the shot is barely enough to cause the multi-armed skeleton to collapse and fall to the ground.

Malok, moves forward, and blasts a skeleton with a ball of pure force. It crumbles from the blast, pieces of bone litter the ground. The remaining two skeletons move up and attack Malok and Yue Fei. Both skeleton's dig their claws in. Malok, avoids a viscous clawing as he moves a hair to the right as the claws digs down his side...narrowly avoiding puncturing his lung. Yue Fei, takes a claw to the shoulder, rending flesh from bone.

Acidum Veru his hand begins to grow green, and with a gesture a liquid that hisses is released at the skeleton.

Kavalina feels the instinct to suddenly destroy the foul undead, as if it was a crime against life itself. She takes her quarter staff/ walking aide (she is a blind oracle lol), and attempts to hit the undead skeleton.

Nitrus and Kavalina both take their respective attacks, but both miss their target. The sorcerer than fires a ray of acid, which burns into the ground near his feet.


Assuming I and Kavalina are engaged with a skeleton each.

Yue Fei cries in pain -Arrgh!- and tries to take a step aside - too late.

-Abomination!- he shouts, as he gets ready for another shot.

Malok cringes in pain, and presses his hand onto the wound. "Ow! Damn thing!" He carefully backs away from the skeleton, and fires another missile from his hand.

Yue Fei, takes two shots, but both miss their target. They both appear to go through the ribcage, and catch nothing, no bone only air. Malok, then blasts the one nearest him with another orb of force and blasts it to bits.

The lone skeleton, moves up and continues to try to end Yue Fei's mortal existance.

The skeleton takes 4 swipes at Yue Fei. The first two miss as the man evades and dodges. Unfortunately, he weaves right into a fierce claw that rips into his neck...missing his jugular by mere centimeters. He falls to the ground in a lump, blood flowing from his open wound on his neck and arm.

Watching Yue Fei collapse from the skeletons attack rushes as quick as she could being a cripple t his aide. Bringing her staff in front of her, she channeled the strange energy inside her to heal him.

Seeing Yue Fei drop, Malok takes a step back from the fighting and fires a beam of arcane force from his hand at the remaining skeleton.

More bone explodes as Malok blasts it with force. Bone showers Yue Fei and Kavalina. Just as the enemy drops, Kavalina sends a wave of positive energy which washes over the group, closing wounds as it does do.

"Try next time to be more careful. With the undead, it is always safety in numbers that is best," she reverts to using her staff as a walking stick, "now let me search my mind for a little something to take care of your wounds."

Now the oracle, if I use a spell, can I not use it again for the time being till a rest period, or is it until my spells per day run out?


spells are spells regardless of class they will be expended until you rest, level up or start a brand new game. Does that make sense. Unless it's a cantrup with has unlimited uses per day.

If Kavaline is trying going to heal Yue Fei i would like to use my Diviners Fortune ability to add a +1 to the ability check.


Kavalina heals Yue Fei a bit, and he is able to get to his feet. To the east and west, are hallways that each run 20' then turn south. The room you are currently in is worked stone, what appears to once have been waiting room of some sort. There are broken vases, wall art that had once been intact but now are in poor condition.

In the alcoves to the northeast and northwest, are two holes, from where the now re-dead skeletons came from the earth.

Perception, DC 15 please for either hole

Also, how much is this "a bit" I am healed? Depends on how many HP I still have, I will try to have a look down each alley.

Yue Fei, you look down both holes. Down the first hole, you see a small satchel. It looks to be about 6-7' down on the bottom of the pit. You retrieve the satchel, and inside you find a handful of coins. Each coin you see printed with a mark of [i]Nex[/b].

On the second hole you, you see another satchel. Inside this satchel is a small vial of green liquid.
