I read Subject #7 and Zaken's stories, very nice as well.
And also the daring escape of Malka and Subject #7.
I guess I won't have to work too hard to make the Technic League the bad guys here. :)
I'll read JN's soon and start taking a closer look at the stats for everyone.
I haven't had much luck with recruitment thread so it may just be the four of you.
There's one person only with a complete submittal but he's also submitting the same PC to at least two other Iron Gods game so...
Questions?

The way I see it, as long as it's a well-thought-out character, submitting to multiple games doesn't necessarily bother me. If anything, it means he really wants to play Iron Gods specifically, which means he should be dedicated to the game once he gets in. If he was submitting to vastly different games with the same character it'd be one thing, since that character would likely lack focus, but a character written for Iron Gods and submitted to Iron Gods seems ok to me even if it's to multiple instances. If that's his only red flag I wouldn't be worried.

Oh, I'm not worried about. What worries is that he would play in multiple games with the same PC or that if he's selected, he would quit shortly thereafter if he's selected for another of the games he applied to.
We'll see. There's still a little over 48 hours to submit a character and a couple of others had expressed interest.
Fabian Benavente
Here's what we'll do - I'll just rewrite Kaede for Iron Gods and attempt to simultaneously play a cool, calm, dispassionate android and an angry, impulsive, civilization-mistrusting Kellid nature-worshipper. It's the only solution, really. :D
Good try. :)
I really want someone who's going to be able to fit in with you guys (and me) so we'll wait until the right person comes along. This first part is fairly easy to introduce new PCs so we'll keep our eyes open if no one is selected this time around.
Game on!
Malka
Hey Fabian - trying to figure out where Malka would try to find work once they get to Torch. Out of the listed locations, is there any place she could get work with her craft, mechanical skill while she tries to find out if there's someone she can continue her magic training? She probably wouldn't know that Khonnir is missing before getting to Torch, would she?

So help me out here. Is Malka and Subject#7 arriving at Torch together? Are you already established or is this your first visit to town?
Fabian Benavente
We will arrive in Torch together. Subject #7 can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking we'll have settled in Torch for a little while prior to the start of the campaign...somewhere in between established and newbies.
If you have been in Torch for longer than a couple of weeks then you would have heard of Khonnir.
You can be his acquaintance and you could have worked helping out smelting skymetal, which is what torch is famous for.
If none of the locations fit the bill, make something up but don't make it too technologically advanced (no robot factories). :)
Fabian Benavente
My profile is complete. Major shout-out to Malka/Shari for her creativity and writing ability :).
So...
I had read Subject#7 background like two nights ago and it already had an 'escape story'; was this updated?
Is this where the escape story is or will it be in Malka's backstory as well?
Fabian Benavente
There was no ending to the story until today. I also have an appearance and personality (who knew). I believe malka will tell her side of things in her profile.
Great, I'll read that later today.
Malka, please let me know when you are done although I had read some stuff before in your profile as well.
Getting closer to starting (well, we would have except for the new recruit).
Game on!
Fabian Benavente
Just read the 'story' from both POV. Bravo! :)
I feel that I already got my money's worth.
JN and Zaken's stories aren't too shabby either. :)
FYI, I just got one more application for the fifth spot and a commitment that if selected, this would be the only game these PCs would be played in so I'm pretty confident we'll add another good player to this already great bunch.
Don't forget to weigh in on the candidates if you care to (via PM please).
It sounds like we'll have a couple of years of good roleplaying ahead of us. :)

Ok, I'm starting to look at stats; see comments below.
@#7:
- please break down your skill ranks;
- are the languages known correct?;and
- let's use the unchained barbarian's style for rage.
@Malka:
- your ranged to hit with the crossbow is +3;
- bracers of armor cost 1,000 gp so a little too expensive yet and be aware that they provide an 'armor' bonus which is the same type of bonus as the ironskin ability so these will NOT stack;
- please break down your skill ranks;
- fire is your oppositions school (takes two spell slots to prepare a spell with the fire descriptor);
- 0 level spells (all known and 4 prepared); which are prepared; and
- 1st level spells (9 known and 2+1(from school) prepared, which are known and which are prepared.
@JN and Zaken:
- please provide your stats in 'game format' (see #7) for ease of review and retrieval. You gotta help the GM. :)

Oops, my bad. I just wanted to clarify the number of Level 1 spells...high intelligence gives a bonus spell. Is this the same as the bonus school spell? Seems sad that someone with a lower IQ wouldn't get their school bonus spell otherwise.
Also, I will need to update equipment which I hope to do soon.| Fabian Benavente |

No, you're right. You would have 3+1 (school) spells prepared.

- I broke down my skills
- Languages are fixed (Common and Hallit only). I had initially placed a skill rank in Linguistics but that doesn't make sense for the story. I reassigned that point and removed the bonus language.- Unchained rage is fine. Updated in "Special Abilities."

Perfect, you're done!
I didn't micromanage your wealth but nothing stood out as being wrong so I trust your numbers are correct.
Everyone, please copy #7's skill breakdown but you do NOT need to add skills for which you have not taken any ranks.
Game on!
Malka
I think Malka is done. Let me know if there are any further changes or if you want any format changed. I tried to match that used by Subject#7.
I included skills with 0 rank if I was getting additional bonuses going towards the final number (ie from traits or my familiar).

You're done, thank you.
Two to go plus a fifth player...

Zaken Marson
Zaken should be done and ready to go!
Fabian Benavente
I think Jeyne's ready to go - was there something else you needed? Her skills were already broken down...
OK, just a couple of minor questions...
- your AC seems to be off if you have a MW chainshirt;
- are your hitpoints correct? shouldn't they be 16?; and
- where is the 'tinkering' ability from?
Other than that, you're done too.
EDIT: and your longspear does 1d8 damage
Fabian Benavente
Zaken should be done and ready to go!
Ok, almost done as well.
I think your ranged to hit with the MW crossbow should be +3?
I'm assuming you took the eidolon evolutions of slam and improved natural attack? Please list them.
Another spear wielder? You and Jeyne gonna be walking around Torch with longspears?
Oh and please double check the hitpoints on your eidolon. I thought I read somewhere that they do NOT start with max hitpoints at first level like PCs do... but I can;t find that now. :(
other tan that, we're good.
One thing I (we) will need from you ASAP is a description of LEEK. I don;t have a good image of what this thing looks like. BTW, you can wait for the first turn, which is coming shortly after 6:00 pm.

Right, let's address it on the order...
1) mkw light crossbow would be +1 BAB, +2 Dex, +1 master work, right?
2) Eidolon evolutions were Improved Natural Armor and Improved Natural Weapon. The unchained summoner with the Invevitable subtype already gets the slam evolution instead of the claws evolution.
3) Well, I assume it will not be weirder than someone walking around with a greatsword... Thinking about it, I think it makes more sense for him to just carry it when he expects some danger. So if he leaves town, he brings it, if he hears about technic league agents are in town, he brings it also, but if he just goes buy vegetables, he would probably leave it at home.
4) You are right... fixed it to 18 (12 hd, +2 Con, +2 Toughness, +2 favored class bonus)
5) Will put a description for him ASAP!

I think you're right about everything. :)
The spear thing is that I would find it weird that someone with subpar strength to even have such a weapon. I can see your PC with a ranged weapon, perhaps hammer or a shortsword but I can't quite picture him with a longspear. Will he even use it?

The longspear is just for Zaken to be able to Aid Leek in combat when needed...
His 1st level spells are there to make Leek harder to hit and heal him afterwards with only grease as a defensive/offensive little trick. Outside buffing Leek, Zaken will probably attack with his crossbow or, if needed against a dangerous foe, move in and Aid another, still at a "safe" distance... but you are right, it will be mostly a walking stick most of the times.
Leek looks like this, but green instead of orange.
Will post in a couple minutes... Also, do you think it will be necessary to create an Alias for Leek?

So Leek is a 'big boy'? :)
No, don't bother with an alias for the eidolon; let's keep it simple.

Camrad here! Fabian, I'm a bit uncertain as to where I should post my gameplay reactions.
Everything gets posted in the discussion thread.
it's fairly easy to tell when you're posting IC or OOC but you can make that clearer if you wish.
The gameplay thread is reserved for the turn recaps.
Once everyone posts for the 'actions?' from the turn recap (Actions1? ad Actions 2? in this particular turn), then I will compile all the IC posts and post a new turn recap (where I also present new situations for you all to roleplay).
The turn recaps have extensive OOC information where I keep track of PC status, ongoing effects, consumables, abilities, maps, 'NPC stuff', loot, etc.
