The fact that it's CotCT just makes it better; Mouse needs more time in the sun, if she's a good fit for the group. :)

Yeah... you can say that but it is really not what it looks like... Like Fabian, I think the major points of a game is RPlaying and most of the players there looks more interested in rocking everything with Mythic instead. I'm saying this taking the backgrounds in account and this leaves me with half that much applicants and even so the huge amount of paladins cut it even harder!

Besides this, I'm really lacking almost any 'support' submissions (bard, cleric, oracle, shaman, etc)... everyone just want to grab the biggest and nastiest weapon and hit everything! LOL

So if you want to also submit a PC, you are more than welcomed!

@Wicked: I'd be interested if not for the fact that I'm starting my own game and I'm afraid to overcommit! Good luck for both of us!

I might actually see what I can throw together tonight, then. I'm decent at support-type characters and don't give a fig about smashing things with mythic power - if anything, I actually tend to shy away from high-powered games, and it'll be my first mythic game. It's all about that story for me. :)

Maybe a young Kaede might fit the bill. Anyway, think on the concepts you were thinking for our Demon Hunter campaign...

Little Kaede was actually totally what I was thinking. Or a Sarkorian god-caller - some sort of Kellid heathen priestess, really. (I haven't looked closely at your build requirements yet, so I don't know how you feel about summoners in your games, but trust me - I'm bloody good at making eidolons terrible, and I have no interest in pulling lower-level-spell shenanigans, so I can be trusted with a summoner (the god-caller) should that be the idea that appeals most to me.)

Action 1

Casting defensively: 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 1 + 3 = 14 Doesn't do it.

Seeing the difficulty Seven was having, Jeyne stepped to his side and tried to touch him, intending to transfer some of her healing nanites into his system for a moment to help close his wounds. As she made the attempt, the jinkins next to her noticed and took a swing, taking advantage of her distraction - she simply couldn't duck out of the way while maintaining the precision required for the transfer.

But she finally managed to get a hand on his shoulder - "Transfer!" she barked out in Androffan, and the surge of nanites helped to heal his ravaged body.

Free action, five foot step to the right. Standard action, cure light wounds on Seven for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8. The casting will provoke two attacks of opportunity - couldn't be helped.

Female Human Wizard (metal elementalist)/2

Seven was in distress, he was incapable of helping himself, and she couldn't get to him. A heart-wrenching shriek emitted from Malka that echoed through the cave, "Help him!"

She was so focused on Seven that she almost missed the jinkin coming towards her. Thankfully it missed her with its weapon which gave her time to think about things more logically. She couldn't help Seven until she dealt with this one. Aiming her wand at the creature, she let another missile fly.

caster check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Unfortunately either she was too preoccupied about Seven or else this jinkin was more resistant to the magic because the missile fizzled upon contact. The gremlin grinned maliciously showing all its teeth, mocking the wizard and her failure to hurt it.

Action 1, Round 3
Seven howled in pain as the doctors swarmed around him with her sharp knives. His blood began to flow freely, and the sword became heavy in his hands. The voice faded to a soft whisper and the room to began to spin, the cruel faces of the doctors circling him in a dizzying spiral.

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. The Jeyne's voice cut through to him, and he felt an intense electrical sensation. His shoulder spasmed in response to it, but the relief was immediate. He suddenly felt more alert. The vision before him melted and he remembered where he was. It was not the doctors he fought, but jinkins. Nasty, dirty jinkins that were threatening him and his friends.

He took a deep breath to steady himself, then heaved his sword up from the ground in a vicious arc, seeking the throat of the closest jinkin.

Camrad stated dumbfounded at the jinkin, not quite understanding how his arrow failed to pierce its hide. He was distracted by an ear shattering scream.

Malka wrote:

“Aw Hell! I'm on it!” Camrad said, realizing for the first time that Zaken’s pet had face planted. He got a running start and, gripping his amulet, leaped down from the ledge.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Action 1, Round 2

Since the rubble is difficult terrain, we can't 5ft. step and also need an acrobatics check, right? I did not see this in Jeyne's or the Jinkin's moves, so I'll make the post for both situations and you choose what applies.

With Difficult Terrain rules:

LEEK moved forward, trying to get close to the Jenkins in the pile of rubble...

Acrobatics (DC 12): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

...but once more he lost his foot, falling in front of his enemies, even if he quickly stood up again. Move action to move (and falling) and then standard action to get up. Seeing LEEK struggle to keep his balance, Zaken also moves after him, ready to help in the defense against the fey...

Acrobatics (DC 12): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

...also falling prone. Even on the ground, Zaken touched LEEK to help him in the fight. Casting guidance while prone.

Without Difficult Terrain:

LEEK quickly moved forward, attacking the Jenkin in front of him.

Attack (slam): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage (slam): 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11

The mighty blow crushes against the fey face, smashing bones and teeth.

Seeing Malka in danger, Zaken moved forward and tried to help her against the Gremlin.

Aid Another (+2 AC) (DC 10): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17

"LEEK will help Seven, Malka... and I'll help you! Take care..."

Zaken was never really fond of the wizard but did not thought twice before helping here... but why?

Hmm...the situation seems to be less than optimal for healing at the present time, Jeyne observed as the delicate process of transferring nanites failed upon the jinkin's strike.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Attempting to open up more space to maneuver her long spear, she dashed between the gremlin and Seven, ending up on the far side of the swordsman against the wall. Aiming at the jinkin that had previously prodded at her, she swung, but the spear's point went wide and missed the creature.

Move action with Acrobatics to move without provoking (against their CMD), which is likely a pass; standard action to attack, which is likely a miss.

Action 2

"Others should carry the potions - those more likely to face direct combat, or less able to withstand injury, and unable to repair themselves as I am. Seven? Would you care to carry this?" she asked, offering him one of the potion flasks. "And Malka or Zaken, would you care to have the other? The sunrod does me little good either, as my visual acuity is nearly as strong in darkness as in light."

I don't need anything.

Action 3

"Another course of action to consider - we had asked the skulk chief if we could arrange to view some of those who fell in their confrontations with surface dwellers. It is possible that this could reveal the fate of those adventuring with Khonnir without our progressing beyond the glaucite wall. And I concur with Camrad; the chieftain should be notified of our success.

"However, should our examination of the fallen prove fruitless, I concur with Malka - it would benefit us to at least look past the door, so we may know what to anticipate in any future endeavors. That way, we may more fully prepare for what lies ahead should we wish to venture past."

Action 1

Zaken sat on the ground as the last Jinkin felt.

"Yeah... not as easy as I expected but we managed to win without any loss... well, I mean a life loss since a lot of blood was spilled but you know what I mean, right?"

After this little recovery he got up and moved down the ledge...

Acrobatics (DC 12): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

...also tripping and falling. "Crap... these jinkins are really stupid you know? With this tricky ledge, if they put a couple of those metal spikes around it we'd be all dead by now... LEEK, here, help me search this rubble for anything useful."

The construct flashed a couple lights before moving forward to assist his master.

Just a little link between the scenes! Malka found the scrolls, so Zaken and LEEK are going to find the rest of the itens before Jeyne talks about them, ok?

Action 2

With his big fists, LEEK uncovered a sheet of metal concealing a hole underneath it, holding a couple items inside.

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED."

Zaken inspected these items, handing them over to LEEK.

"Here, LEEK, hold his for a while... two potions... let me see, yes, another two lesser healing potions, a sunrod, two sets of tools and, hum nice, a handful of coins!"

Hearing Jeyne's inquire about the distribution of the loot, Zaken intervened. "I already have a couple potions with me and I think so does Malka, perhaps Seven should keep both of the potions... I also have no use for the sunrod and I guess both of us already have nice tools so we could sell them... about the coins, how do we handle it?"

At Malka's question, Zaken continued. "If you already knows these spells, sure, I can take these scrolls."

Action 3

"So, it is settled! First we'll talk to the chief, claim our reward and investigate the fallen bodies, then we take a look beyond the wall and then we come back to Torch for supper... I think I like this. Oh and tomorrow we could take a look on those side tunnels we left behind us..."

Awesome! Lots of luck and you'll be great. Remember to keep it moving daily, even if you piss off a player or two because you go too fast.

I know it's your game but I tend to give free advice... :)

Six players is a lot to deal with, especially since one or two will have an animal/eidolon. Consider five players and no more than one 'companion'.

Also your recruitment is too long. One week is more than plenty. You'll be swamped with players. It's always good to make them come up with something quickly because you do want them to post on a daily basis. :)

Let me know if I can help.

Game on!

“Well now that you mention it, I guess we are.” Camrad said as he struggled to breathe in the embrace. “Now you should take it easy. You don't wanna reopen Malka’s stitches do you?”

tag Camrad?

“Don't mention it.” Camrad said with a shrug. “Anyone else woulda done it.”

Camrad looked over the items and saw little that interested him “You'll find no objections here. Just don't drink those all at once. I don't think I can stitch any y'all up again till I get some rest.”

So... are you investigating the open passage or going back up to Torch?

Seven's "official" input was to keep exploring, though it was a bluff, should anyone notice. He would actually prefer to return to to the surface.
