Touchy
|
Hmm... what to do... the barbarian with the x3 crit greataxe kind worries me...
Touchy smiles his most creepy smile at the people down the alleyway.
"No one tell you its not nice to interrupt a dwarf on his way to church?" He says in a pleasant tone, with ice frosting the edges, before muttering a few divine words.
Cast charm person on the pirate looking fellow (DC 15 Will)
And then try to convince him to leave!
He stares pointedly at the man who stabbed Alexos. "Now, you've been given some bad information chum! If you stick around, you're going to die with the rest of this lot, who see you more as fodder then friend! Best head out now, while you can. Meet me at the Calistrian temple in the Coins later, I'll buy you a drink tell you how bad it went for the rest of 'em, perhaps some gold for your trouble."
Umm... not sure if his is leaving the battle if something he'd be against or not... hoping not, as I suck at opposed charisma checks! Just in case: Opposed Charisma Check: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (18) - 3 = 15

While singing and dancing on the Roof Nixie gets all the attention of three gang members I think the black-haired woman is already outside of the 30-ft. radius, but correct me if I'm wrong
Will Save Ledford DC15: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 Mr. Mustache
Will Save Weaver DC15: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12 Mr. Pirate
Will Save Dulay DC15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Mrs. Bold Head
Kraak is now invisible to Weaver. I put a yellow border around his token
Will Save Weaver DC15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
+5 bonus according to the rules 'If the creature is currently being threatened or attacked by you or your allies, however, it receives a +5 bonus on its saving throw.', but please also correct me if I'm wrong.
Touchy tries to convince Weaver to leave the battle. In the first moment it seems that Weaver gets more agressive, but when he heard the words 'gold' and 'drink' he decided to put the weapon down. "Alright fellows, this dwarf offers me a drink and gold, that's I think better than dying with you here in this dirty gutter." he says turns around and moves away. Doing this because I'm afraid it's going to be to tough for you.
"Run you coward! When we finished them you'll not get anything. More for us!" Dulay shouts at Weaver. Then she turns around and draws her shortsword. "Now to you, leave us all your stuff and you'll live." she says with an evil grin coming closer to you.

Heh. That comment was made 'after' the spell was cast though!
This is effectively 4 level 1 characters vs 5 level 1 characters. That's going to be pretty much a crapshoot as far as who's going to win typically, unless one side has poor tactics. This looks really tough. Was hoping just to remove a player from the field ... The halfling was in Kraak's threatened area (so definitely got the save bonus), the cleric probably has a good save, the sorceress was out of range, so that just left the pirate guy! Glad it worked!
GM Baerlie
|
Heh, you are right again :D Sorry for that! It is still tough with three of these guys, next time I will split the groups differently when making two tables. The other group already disabled two of them, but they are six players including a barbarian and a viking. I'll do my best to make it challenging but not unfair.
Xichikitte
|
Xichi attempts to take out Halli the sorceress.
Magic Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Or, make her angry. That also works I guess.
GM Baerlie
|
Xichi's magic missile melts Halli's hair and part of her face. Her screaming turns into lauging "What are you trying to do stupid Half-Orc?" Remark: this is not the GM's opinion, the evil sorceress is speaking!
Round 2

With a quick flick of his wrist the tengu slashes at his opponent, opening a brutal slash across his stomach
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Confirmation: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5No idea if this hits as he is invisible at this moment, if I got touchy correctly.
Also he prepares his
opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler,
she can spend 1 panache point and can expend a use of an
attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The
swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making
an attack of opportunity. If her attack roll is greater than
the roll of the attacking creature, the attack automatically
misses. For each size category the attacking creature is
larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes
a –2 penalty on her attack roll. The swashbuckler must
declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is
announced, but before that attack roll is made. Immediately
after a swashbuckler performs a successful parry, as long
as she has 1 panache point she can make an attack as an
immediate action against the creature whose attack she
blocked, provided that creature is within her reach.
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
Parry: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Riposte: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
Or use something pointy throwing wise?
Touchy
|
Wow, you really did go all spartan on spending your starting gold.
Snag Touchy's cold iron dagger, and try throwing that at someone! Or the sling (though he didn't buy any bullets so you'd have to find some rocks). He's not using either. Though what kind of action it'd be to grab it off his belt I dunno... and doesn't really help you next round.
Hmm... did you grab any of the alchemical items from the warehouse? Those'd work
ooo.. maybe the GM will let you do a dirty trick combat maneuver at range with the ink to blind one of these guys for a round
Xichikitte
|
Xichi has a dagger and a sling and bullets handy. Can he use his (low initiative) move action to give them to Alexos?
Nixie
|
I say we run...Live to fight another day!
An idea flashes into Nixies mind. She remembers adding pebbles to her coin purse earlier when she was going to try to bluff the old orphanage crone. She wonders if she tossed it behind them if one would break off for a round or two to get it. Buy her friends some time...
On her turn of course.
Xichikitte
|
Snort A Warrior does not run and hide.
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
Feared so, waiting for him to attack me.
Alexos Virden
|
Alexos notices that Xichi and Touchy both have slings. While he really hasn't used one before he also knows that it won't take too much more to send him to meet Irori.
<cough><COUgh> Don't be minding <cough> how much I am bleeding back here, toss <cooooUGGGH> me a sling and bul-<COUGH>-ets and I will attempt to cover your ba- the word is lost in coughing. Alexos attempts to smile reassuringly, but with the blood flecking his lips and his tattoo looking even more vicious with his skin being paler than normal due to blood loss...
Going to wait for a sling to be tossed to me.
GM Baerlie
|
As I understand Alexos is going to delay.
Ledford attacks the big bird in front of him with his greataxe.
Greataxe Attack vs. DC22 Parry: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
But Kraak wards it off. He tries to strike back, but is not able to hit Ledford. Unless it's a attack against flat footed AC?
Fosta shoots the bolt in her crossbow at Kraak.
Crossbow Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
But the bolt deflects from Kraak's feathers.
Round 2
Kraak
Alexos - delayed
Ledford -7HP
Fosta -2 HP
Nixie
Touchy
Dulay
Xichi
Xichikitte

Xichi tosses his sling and bullet purse at Alexo's feet, then tries to take out Ledford.
Magic Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Touchy
|
Touchy glances around the corner again, and gives the bald priestess lady his most disturbing smile, though its not reflected in his eyes that peer at her with malign intensity.
Using his Malign Eye domain ability on Dulay. She will get a -2 to all saves vs Touchy's spells for the next minute.
Nixie
|
Nixie takes her bag of gold and rocks swift action and tosses them at the bald headed thug, attempting to distract/surprise/mystify/mislead her standard action. Then she steps off the ledge move action and lands directly on the head of the blond guy...fall damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8. I want the blond guy to break my fall taking some of that damage for me:)
GM Baerlie
|
I was thinking some time about an acceptable solution for Nixie's action. Thank you PbP. ;) I think the following should work:
Nixie prepares for a jump from the roof on Ledford right after Kraak parried Ledford's attack. Ledford is distracted by Kraak so he's not aware of Nixie coming from above. It's not too difficult for her to land on his head. Nixie lands softly so she doesn't hurt herself too much.
Half falling damage and unarmed strike with your feet against flat-footed AC 13
Touchy afflicts Dulay with his Malign Eye. With that disturbing smile from Touchy she totally forgets to act this round.
Xichi shoots another magic missile at Ledford, hurting his right leg.
Round 2
Kraak
Ledford -11HP
Fosta -2 HP
Nixie - finish jumping action
Touchy
Dulay
Xichi
Alexos - delayed
Alexos, you can do your sling shot thing now.
Nixie
|
Oh, I thought I rolled it in a previous post. 1d6?
1d6 ⇒ 2.
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
Kraak used his AoO to riposte. Have to redo the char for the confirmation
Alexos Virden
|
OK, going to pick up the sling as a move action and load it as a standard action... which should allow me to fire it next round... unless you think picking it up would count as a quick action, in which case I can fire it this round.
Alexos picks up the sling and bullets and loads one into the cup.
Much obliged, Xichi. <cough> I prefer using <cough> my fists, but this will do nice<coughGHGHGHGH>ly.
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
Going for the safe kill Kraak attacks the one before him
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
I moved Nixie to the one free place there is.
Nixie
|
So nixie does 5ft step NE (map updated), draws her rapier (I can't remember if I had already done that so I do it now just in case) then pokes the bald babe in the eyeball.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 for 1d6 ⇒ 3 crit confirm 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 for more: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Touchy
|
Touchy continues giving the bald priestess his most disturbing look.
"You. Me. Someplace private. How 'bout it?" He says, suggestively with a wink, as he mutters some divine words.
Cast cause fear on Dulay. DC 15 Willpower. She gets a -2 penalty on this save due to the Malign Eye from the round before.
If she fails her save, Nixie will get an attack of opportunity as she flees.
If she makes her save, she will be shaken for one round
GM Baerlie
|
Touchy tries to fear Dulay away.
Will DC 15: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 2 = 21
She's shaken and with her short sword she attacks Nixie.
Shortsword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 2 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Round 3
Kraak
Fosta -2 HP
Nixie
Touchy
Dulay -3 HP
Xichi
Alexos
Xichikitte
|
Touchy, you make me literally LOL.
Xichi casts an acid ray at Fosta.
Acid Ray, ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
With a quick a deux Kraak moves in to the bald person and slashes at her face
Charge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Alexos Virden
|
Alexos spits and takes aim at the woman with the crossbow.
<cough>Here ya go lass... never <cough>let your foe walk away!
Sling attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 2 = 161d4 ⇒ 1
Think I did that right, 1 is my CMB and 2 for my dex given its a ranged attack.
Watching the bullet sail toward his target, Alexos then reloads the sling.
Should be able to do that as a move action, yes?
Kraak Sharpbeak
|
But you have to substract one from the hit, as you add your Bab not your CMB
